Shadow Stalker

Shadow Stalkers have perfected the art of slipping unseen between the shadows without losing sight of their prey. As experts of movement and sight, they baffle those around them with movements so subtle they appear as a trick of the eye even while engaged in combat.

Infamous Shadow Stalkers may be assassins or spies for politicians or enemy troops. Most often, they work as informants, subtle body guards, or private investigators, whether for personal coin or as part of an organization's greater cause.

Dusk Walk

Once a rogue has chosen this archetype at level 3, while focused on their prey they gain the ability to move with such precision they appear as one of the shadows themselves.

When you use the hide action, you may choose a creature within your line of sight to designate as your mark. While concentrating, you maintain the advantages of being hidden against this creature even as you move out of hiding.

If you initiate combat with your mark, they will be surprised. When you attack your mark, you will lose the advantages of being hidden for one round.

The effect will remain for up to 10 minutes. The effect will end if you choose a different creature or lose concentration.

Rogue's Intuition

Starting at 3rd level, your experience in remaining hidden has honed into predictive insight about others trying to do the same. Once per day, the player may chose to use Rogue's Intuition in one of two ways.

Reveal the enemy

You know how to spot the perfect places to hide. As an action, you may detect if a creature is hidden through non-magical means within 60 ft.

Conceal an ally

You can easily spot rookie mistakes with concealment. As a reaction, when an ally you can see within 30 ft rolls a stealth check you may roll a stealth check twice, once for you and once for your ally of choice. You must give the higher roll to your ally, but your bonuses will apply to both rolls.

Uncanny Counter

Starting at 9th level, when you avoid an attack you are able to instinctively strike from the shadows. When you use the Uncanny Dodge ability on an enemy within melee range, you may use your reaction to make a melee attack.

If the enemy is your mark from Dusk Walk, you will additionally dodge all damage instead of half, and will have advantage on the attack. You are able to use this ability once per long rest.

Now you see me

Once a Shadow Stalker has reached 13th level, they may choose up to three creatures as marks when they Dusk Walk. The creatures must be within 30 ft of one another. If one of the creatures moves more than 30 ft away from another, make a concentration check. If you succeed, chose one of the creatures to remain under the effect. If you fail, the effect ends.

Karma

Starting at 17th level, you may now use Uncanny Counter twice per long rest. A succesful hit from Uncanny Counter will always critically hit.
