Dragonborn Traits

Your dragonborn character has the following traits.

Age. Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3, and reach adulthood by 15. Most live to be around 200 years old, and some can even live longer than that.

Alignment. Dragonborn tend to extremes, making a conscious choice for one side or the other. A dragonborn’s heritage can be a deciding factor in their alignment, a red dragonborn may tend to be greedy and evil, but they can overcome their natural tendencies and instincts and choose goodness.

Size. Dragonborn are generally between 6 and 7 feet tall and weigh between 200 and 300 pounds. Your size is medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Draconic Armor. Your thick scales protect your body, while unarmored, your AC equals 12 + your Dexterity modifier. Also, you have resistance to the damage type granted to you by your Draconic Ancestry.

Breath Attack. Your draconic anatomy grants you the ability to exhale elemental destruction like greater dragons. Your Draconic Ancestry decides the shape and damage type of your breath attack.

Regardless, you use your action to use your breath attack, each creature in the area of effect must make a saving throw equal to 8 + your Constitution modifier + your Proficiency Bonus or take 4d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one.

The damage increases to 6d6 at 5th level, 8d6 at 11th level, and 10d6 at 17th level. When you reach 8th level, your breath attack grows in size, if your breath attack is a cone it becomes a 30-foot cone, and if it's a line it becomes a 5-foot by 60-foot line.
