In the turn order it takes its turn right after your's. You may have your Soul partner attack, disengage, or use the help action using your bonus action, if you do not use a bonus action to command it, it will take the dodge action instead, no input is neccissary for it to move. If less than a minute has passed since your soul partner died or disspates due to the 'partnered fusion' feature you may use a spell slot to create a new soul partner with the same soul features as the previous one.
