The Events
The Row
- 5g entrance fee
- Max 4 competitors per ring. First-ring winners get 20g, champion gets 80g
- No weapons, no armor, no flanking rules, no funny monk stuff, ring is 30ft across
- Fight to submission or unconsciousness, ring winners fight
The Bow
- 10g entrance fee. Winner gets 80g
- Ranged attacks against target
- Target AC 15 (1 point)
- Ring 1 AC 17 (2 points)
- Ring 3 AC 20 (3 points)
- Ring 4 AC 22 (4 points)
- Bullseye AC 25 (5 points)
- Each archer gets three shots, highest points win
- Shoot-off in case of a tie
The Great Fist
- Similar to the Row, but exclusively for those trained as martial arts monks.
- There is no entrance fee, and only one grand prize of 50 gold.
The Melee
- 25g entrance fee
- Max 4 competitors per ring. First-ring winners get 50g, champion gets 200g
- Only melee weapons, everyone in leather armor
- No throwing weapons, no flanking rules, ring is 30ft across
- Fight to submission or unconsciousness, ring winners fight
The Casting
- 25g entrance fee
- Max 8 competitors, bracketed. Winner gets 100g, runner-up gets 50g.
- Magical duels, no weapons allowed
- Fight to submission or unconsciousness, maximum of 2 heals per round
The Lying
- 2g entrance fee, winner gets free food & drink for the rest of the tourney
- Players have to tell a GOOD story
- Roll with Deception + Performance modifiers
- Highest roll wins. Ties go head-to-head
- ADVANTAGE for good role-play and/or creativity.
The Eating
- 5g entrance fee, winner gets a free refill cup, good for a season
- Competitors can eat 1 roast up to their CON modifier (1 minimum)
- After that, make a CON check against vomiting.
- DC goes up 2 points per roast, starting at 15
- Second failure results in vomiting
- Last one to puke wins.
The Drinking
- 5g entrance fee, winner gets a free refill cup, good for a season
- Competitors can safely drink up to 2 drinks per their CON modifier (min 2)
- After that, make a CON check against vomiting.
- DC goes up 1 point per drink, starting at 10
- Third failure results in vomiting
- Last one to puke wins.
- Character is poisoned for 1d6 hours
The Duel
- You and a partner sign up together, to challenge one another. Both of you use the same weapon, and you may each wager an amount of gold, winner takes all.
- Magic is generally not chosen, but should you and your foe wield the same spells, it is permitted.
The Joust
- 50g entrance fee
- Max 8 competitors, separated into brackets. 1st, 2nd, 3rd places. (500g, 250g, 100g)
- Animal handling check, ranged attack, athletics check
The Monsters
- 100g entrance fee per team of three
- Three rounds of combat with one or more monsters, with a 10 minute break between rounds.
- Teams who beat all three rounds receive 500g
