Oath of Preservation

The oath of Preservation is a sign of a deity's faith in the mortals that worship them. Sometimes mistaken for oracles or even celestial beings, the paladins who take this oath are bound to the service of life.

Tenets of Preservation

The tenets of the Oath of Preservation then to differ from deity to deity, but what they have in common is their strong bond to life.

Courage. Never fear to act, though caution is wise.

Life Over All. Never kill if it can be helped and save all lives you can, when you have the chance.

Duty. Be responsible for your actions and their consequences and protect those entrusted to your care.

Spark Hope. Be a beacon for those in need.

Channel Divinity At 3rd level, when you pick this oath, you gain the following channel divinity options.

Replenishing call. As a bonus action you present your holy symbol, and you regain all expended points from your lay on hands pool.

Turn the Unholy. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring fiends and undead, using your Channel Divinity. Each fiend or undead that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage. A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

Aura of Preservation

Starting at 7th level, creatures within 10 feet of you automatically stabilize instead of rolling death saving throws, while you are conscious. While unconscious you still gain the effect of this aura. Additionally all creatures of your choice, that die within this aura, can be brought back to life using revivify, or a similar spell, without using material components, if it is cast within 1 minute of their death. You can now spend 20 points from your lay on hands pool to cast revivify.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.


Shielding Touch

At 15th level whenever you use use your lay on hands to heal a creature, the creature gains temporary hit points equal to the amount healed for the next number of rounds equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Healing Aura

At 20th level, you can use your action to spend 20 points from your lay on hand pool to make all creatures of your choice within 30 of you heal 1 hit point at the start of their turn, for the next minute. You can use a bonus action on you turn spending an amount of points from your lay on hand pool, healing all affected creatures hit points equal to 1 + your charisma modifier, for every 15 points spent. This healing is tripled for creatures that are at 0 hit points.
