Curse of Void. (recharge 4-6) When the Herald hits a creature with one of its attacks, it can also inflict the Curse of Void on the creature. Roll on the Curse of Void table. It can do this once per round.

Actions

Multiattack The Herald makes 2 attacks, one with its claw and one with its maw.

Dragon Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 2d6 + 3 slashing

Dragon Maw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit 2d8 + 3 slashing

Lair Actions

On initiative 20, the Herald can activate one of these two lair actions:

  • Bringing the Void. (recharge 4-6) The Herald activates Darkness for a round, 30 foot radius. It can see through this darkness. After the darkness fades, the stars are completely invisible. Spells like Dawn and Moonlight are ineffective during the round when the darkness if activated and the round after.
  • Silent Night. (recharge 4-6) All creatures within a 30ft radius lose all ability to speak for the round; verbal spells are ineffective.
Curse of Void Table

1 When you come into contact with water, you take 1d6 damage. Effective for 1d4 days.
2 Purple spreads up your arms and remains there for 1d6 hours.
3 You turn and attack another member of your party.
4 You instantly cast misty step 30ft toward the Herald.
5 When someone makes eye contact with you, you go into a Rage. Effective for 1d4 days.
6 You suffer 2d6 damage.
Cursed Fruit Table
d4 result Effect
1 You suffer 1d4 points of damage (and are cursed).
2 Your hands and mouth turn purple for 1d4 hours (and are cursed).
3 You are hungry and eat another cursed fruit. Roll again on the table.
4 You teleport 10 feet ahead of your party.
