Saiya-jin(Saiyans)

Something drives them - maybe their anatomy, maybe their foolishness, or maybe just that greed for a fight... Whatever it is, it will surely get the best of those that are unprepared.'

Saiyans were once a group of humans that had worshiped an odd, yet divine dragon - one unlike the others. This ancient dragon had ascended into godhood after years and years of worship from the hands of the human, alongside some side quests it had to do - nevertheless. Once it had finally ascended into godhood, it spent its years ruling over the humans, who had started to breed and create a land for them to live and worship on for years to come. Along this time, on a fated day, the dragon swooped in an granted them a 'wish', when the leader of the humans answered he had wished to live a prosperous and fulfilling life and that his children and theirs will do the same, in a land where they can feel safe from all harm.
Thus, Saiyans were born. Once the leader's offspring was finally born, he was born different from normal - a Saiyan now. A thick tail was on his behind and he was more abstract than normal humans, he gained power quickly, he learned how to fight even quicker. But his wits, his wits weren't as good as they once were, no, he was more like an Orc, but more controlled - a better, beast like orc.
Tough and Unrelenting
Saiyans are built to come back from near death situations and become stronger from them, not weaker. Their natural bodies are ready for damage, and they are built to be stockier than the normal human, albeit not that tall, like a goliath or an orc. They range anywhere from 5 feet to 7 feet. However, they are more often than not 165 to 225 lbs. Most of which is muscles, females tend to be shorter and their skin tone, more often than not is pale. Some have more tanned skin, depending on where their ancestor was from. Often time they have dark and spiky hair, alongside dark eyes and their hair usually never changes from birth to death. Saiyan's bodies originated from the north, but they are still more enhanced than normal human bodies. A Saiyan can survive below freezing with what seems to be ease and is more than capable of living in the harsh tundras that Frost Giants dwell in if they so wish. Either it be natural body or something that came with their blessing is unknown.
Evolved
Every Saiyan is born with a tail, long enough to go around their waist and nearly as long as their arm. This tail is equally strong too, just like any limb they have, on top of this they are trained in using their tail for mundane tasks or even fighting (if they dare!). One thing that is not known about a Saiyan's tail, is their weakness, for Saiyans only have battled on one third of the world, they have not even been into contact with mos traces, but the ones they do fight - Orcs and other unintelligent beings- have never realized their weakness. Being born with a tail also gives them a great sense of balance, one that is unparalleled to other races, of course that means when this tail is gone... They kind of lose balance often until they get used to it.
Unexpected Power
Since the start of the Saiyans, it's been passed on and on that their true power lies in fighting. But, some that have experienced a phenomenon have disagreed, throughout the generation there are those that train their martial arts, sometimes magic and even swordplay. But there are also some that rely on their latent power, the power of the moon and their tail. For when the full moon is out, the Saiyan starts to gather the energy from it and doing so causes a reaction in their tail. After enough energy is absorbed they are capable of transforming into a hulking, giant ape, powerful beyond belief. Although some have noted this as a drudic spell, it is not, it works like ti, but it also takes the Saiyan's power and amplifies it beyond belief. On the other hand, most Saiyans can't control this transformation and attack everything moving near them, family, allies and homes alike, only some Saiyans - those that are more Noble. Are able to control this transformation.
Personality
Saiyans tend to all have common personalities in some way, shape or form. Even at young ages they are war-like people, having a innate enjoyment for being involved in conflict or fighting, most times they pick violence over peace with other races. Even those that overcome this need, still retain their love for fighting, however they are more organized, practicing it as a sport instead of being barbaric - slaughtering everything they come across. They are more often than nor very aggressive and hard-headed, pact with short and explosive tempers. Due to their natural talent with fighting and martial arts they are very arrogant, sometimes even allowing enemies to gain advantages in battle just to make it fun. Or sometimes urging their prey to fight with all they have to make the fight fun. Saiyans are also very emotional, most time these emotion get the best of them when roused in very simulating situations. This makes them have some rash choices that happen in the moment.
Feelings
Saiyans, well, at least the ones devoted to their art don't focus on romance or marriage too often. Due to generations of training and fighting, they are more used to getting joy off of that than off the companionship of another.
Saiyans also appear to lack sympathetic emotions, more so by choice rather than by nature, while still possible to be sympathetic, the way that the culture and society works, the more noble seem to care less and less about the more common. At the same time, Saiyans have a very clear lack of fear - mostly pertaining to death. The more war heavy and noble ones have an uncaring attitude towards family members as well, not caring if they are beaten on, or if they themselves beat on them. Or maybe -even they don't bat an eye when their father, a solider for most of his life dies in battle. These Saiyans the the more brutish and war heavy type, not all are like this. Some more chaotic ones don't even bat an eye when allies fall, noting them as weaklings and not worthy to battle. This is often rare, for in their culture they are pretty sheltered, most of them care for one another for they have lived with them their whole life. Despite the previous statements, they still are attached to people - they just don't show it.
Despite being humble before, Saiyans now are very racist - more so towards other races and breeding. Why? Well, most Saiyans refuse to create halfing offspring out of fear their heritage will delude and become Human once more. They also have a very distinct pride about their race. They put their race's honor above all more often than not, they often exile or kill those who breed outside of their race, unless something occurs and often times show racism towards the bastard children that are created half Saiyan.
While some Saiyans might be the bad eggs, most Saiyans have sympathy and feelings, they show them too. They are originally Human after all, some even are not aggressive at all - they can be whatever. Saiyans are a very wide race, with many distinct personality and traits, some of which may be odd or not.
They tend to go for strong-willed females for mates as well. Some extra information - Saiyans think a fight to the death is an honorable act and that dying instead of loving with the shame of somebody weaker them is the better way out.
Naturally Gifted
Their bodies aren't the only good thing about them. Most Saiyans are Naturally gifted with Ki, making most of them become 'Monks' more so Martial artist. Saiyans Warriors rarely use weapons and rely purely on their fists and ki. They also -due to this natural ability to control energy - can fly when the time comes. They also fly much faster than normal too.
Power
Saiyans are naturally strong, way stronger than any human and even any Orc or Dwarf. They were literally built and bred for fighting, they could easily lift up to ten times their own weight, and have been seen lifting things that could weigh over a ton. When training, the more tough and harsh it is, the better it is, this is why Saiyans train so hard and rough, the worst it is, the better they get and so on. They body adapts from the damage dealt, evolving them when they heal. Saiyans that don't train and don't become strong might be exiled, or treated worse in comparison.
Speed and Durability
Their speed and dexterous abilities are past that of a human, one can easily see how fast they can move and how gifted they are at moving their body in dexterous ways. While it isn't groundbreaking or the best, like Tabaxi, they are near that level, and very similar and many ways.
Their bodies naturally get tougher as they get stronger, giving them resistances to most types of damages and leaving them only harmed by powerful beings or magical things, they aren't invincible, but they certainly are tough to beat. They can easily survive magical beams of energy, magical weapons, weapons themselves and even explosions if they train correctly.
Wits
Saiyans are comparable to humans in terms of intelligence, they kind of lack the push though. They are simple minded and focus on fighting more than thinking, sue to this they never really make that push into human domain - they aren't as smart as they appear. But they aren't animal level, that's for sure.
They also have very good memory, able to remember their baby years even when they are twenty or older. Alongside this they also have a very keen sense of smell and sight. While their smell is compared to dog's their eye sight is just slightly better than humans.
Glutton
A good body is good and all, but due to this their bodies require more. When eating and being fed, it takes two to three times as much to feed a Saiyan than a normal person and it gets even worse after battle. If a Saiyan is truly hungry they can eat a meal meant for a family or a large family. Maybe even enough food for ten people if they were literally starving. If they don't eat, they actually get weaker.

Life
Saiyans age the same as Humans and their lifespan is about the same as them as well. 75-100 years, some however could live longer than that, maybe up to 150 or more years. Of course, being warriors they never really reach the end of their life span, they usually die before hand. Thus, they evolved so much that they are in prime and 'young' even when they are 80 years old. When younger they are typically shorter than most humans, but once they reach teen and adulthood they go through large growth spurt.
Family
Since most Saiyans are busy wither training ro spending time away from home, going to war and what not, they have little attachment to their family. They rarely ever plan to settle down, marry, have kids, take care of them and do typical dad stuff. Usually - if the mom isn't a Warrior- they leave the mom to be attached to the kids, while they are off, doing something with their lives. This of course leaves children detached from their parent,s likely causing many issues, but not so much so, since it is something they are born and live with. To them, their Dad simply birthed them and said good luck. While this is the case in their society, some people can overcome this, some can be a good dad, some can be a good mom and dad, it's all up to how you shake it in your lore.
S-Cells
Saiyans have a unique cell in their body, well many unique cells. S-cells are what allow Saiyans to unlock their latent ability. For he most part most Saiyans and people don't know about or understand S-Cells or what they mean. But to generalize it, S-Cells are things that are used to be called upon - like a person calling for help. When in a dire time of need their bodies call upon these S-Cells, who then work and push it into overtime, unlocking their latent abilities and powers alike, something that was born with each and every Saiyan. While this has never happened in history, the legends of the Legendary Super Saiyan are still passed on from generation to generation. It is said that the First Saiyan - the one who made the wish - had trained so hard his bones nearly tuned to dust from being overworked and when a war happened he jumped into action. Of course, long ago Saiyans were little and not all that mighty - it was a big turning point in the history of Saiyans in general. When all was lost and he was losing family left and right something ignited inside of his soul, like a flame that refused to die out. They say his body reacted, boosting him with power, so much so that it radiated off of him like a paladin, even his hair changed to this color. Lost in a fit of rage - almost like a rage induced comma - he battled the rest of the army alongside his people, wiping out most if not all of them highhandedly.
Of course, this is nothing more than a fairy tale most Saiyans dream could happen to them, and for the most part all Saiyans will just consider this a fairy tale they can never reach, but in reality... S-Cells are the secret to it all, with enough, their bodies transform into something considered more primal and dangerous than their ape transformation. It could be a curse or a blessing.

- Toughness: Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
- Great Ape: On a full moon, if you look up to the sky you will transform into a giant and great ape. This also works if some sort of magic makes a fake moon or technology. Your STR is brought to 23, your DEX is increased by 2, your INT decreases to 8 unless you can control it. Your CHA falls to 7. (Use the Great Ape Stat Block)

Saiyan Names
Saiyan names are Japanese puns of vegetables like Vegeta, Kakarot, Tarble, Beet, Raditz, Nappa, Salada(These are all from the Anime.)
Some usable names: Dakon, Lotuce, Radichio, Korn.
Of course this also isn't enforced, did your mom settle down and decide your name is Dick? Maybe Bob? Who knows, any name could be your name, but most Saiyan names are as such, that's just how it is!
Alignment
Saiyans hover towards the Chaotic side, screwing over order and making sure they do what they want when they want. Of course they are still loyal to their people and follow the laws of their land, the only thing is that they prefer violence over peace. It is something that will NEVER change in them, being diplomatic is a second hand thing they never think about, but it is shown in many Saiyans that they are 'soft' so to say. That they decide over things with peace and words, however these Saiyans are often exiled.

Elite Saiyans
Noble Saiyans are generally considered Elite, Saiyans that are naturally stronger than the rest and are noble in heritage. These Saiyans are more durable, more hard-headed and cocky and are usually full of themselves. They believe they are the bee's knees and will stop at nothing to prove it. They can't stand losing and they are very spiteful, some might even be racist against other races,. Thinking of them as not worthy to even be in their presence let alone fighting with them.
Traits
You gain an additional +1 to CON. Their naturally sturdy bodies are even better than their peers, you gain the Tough Feat upon making. But, due to how you act in public you really aren't too good with talking with people in general, so you get a -1 in Charisma.You also get to control your Giant Ape Transformation. Due to your natural vibe to never give up in a fight, even when you try to get your enemy to their full power.. You are an unstoppable machine, one that lives anjd breathes fighting, so much so that when you feel as if you are going to fall, your body doesn't let you. You gain the Relentless Endurance feat.
Low Class Saiyans
Low class saiyans are considered worse than normal Saiyans, for these saiyans don't seem to be like the rest of them. They are very much weaker than every other Saiyan born and even though from the start they were said to be born with much potential, none so far have shown it. Likely from dying before their time to come, therefore most if not all Low Class Saiyans are treated worse than the rest of people, not to the point of slavery, but to the point of hating them and bullying them simply because of how they were born.
Traits
Generally shorter and more skinny than the rest of the Saiyans, you also aren't as durable as the rest of the Saiyans, for whatever reason your body isn't like their's and where they see weakness you see greatness. You lose the +1 CON ad instead gain +1 DEX. Additionally, you gain more S-Cells than the normal Saiyan. While being more fine tuned than most Saiyans, you also tap into your heritage that much better, where others are tough, you are fast, quick and nimble on your feet, your base speed is 40ft. You also gain proficiency in Acrobatics.

GM NOTES
Some things about Saiyans are best kept a secret even if somebody has seen the anime and knows what they are capable of. It is your job to keep track of their S-Cells for them and to add them when you see fit. S-Cells will enable them to go Super Saiyan, of course when they reach a high enough level they will just turn, no dramatic trigger needed. In order for a person to typically go Super Saiyan they need to gain S-Cells from usually being gentle, that is the best way to gain them and also getting stronger, when you feel they've done enough, you can mark them down as ready to go Super Saiyan. Now, of course they need something very bad to happen. Something that will make them tap into their rage, sadness or any strong emotion like that. Usually the death of a loved or close one, things like this occur and can trigger them to go Super Saiyan. And Yes there are multiple stages of Super Saiyan, but for now, there's only SSJ1.
Super Saiyan
When going Super Saiyan the person you are describing will feel a rush of energy and whatever other emotion they are focusing on to cause the trigger, it is at that moment that they will likely start to scream and yell while channeling the power inside of them. This can take while, but usually for story telling factor it's best to let this cost a bonus action or no action at all - when it has already been done once it can cost an action or bonus action if you so will it. But the first time is long, dramatic and pretty intense, really. So, start with how they feel like that emotion is going to take over, like it's boiling and can't be stopped and then start to describe the ground shaking an the world feeling this with them, as if it is reacting to this power that they have inside. After while you can start to say their hair spikes up as electricity bounces off their body, spiraling out in every which way, while at the same time the ground shaking gets even more intense. Finally, their bodies will bulge up just a bit and their hair will turn blonde like golden color while also becoming spiky. Usually when they are more gentle they are lost in rage, reverting to their normal primal instinct, this doesn't mean they have the barbarian rage, but it does mean they are prone to losing control and being less rational than before. This transformation can last as long as you want, but it is advised it shouldn't be too long and at the end of it they gain exhaustion due to how intense it was. 1-5 mins is advised, but it's up to you. After the first transformation they can activate it again, but it will last the same amount of time and exhaustion will be gained. Throughout the adventures, they can train it, unknowingly to them probably, but with more uses, less backlash until they can finally keep it up for hours. When you considred it mastered, tell them their hair is even more golden and they feel like it's second nature at this point. Also do remember in Super Saiayn all revert to a more primal state, not making them enrage, but making them more violent and things of that nature. Their eyes also go greenish-blue, energy pours out from them , creating a golden like aura of pure energy radiating off of them.
Super Saiyan Stats
Your unarmed attacks do an additional 1d4 damage. Once mastered they do an additional 1d6. If you are using a weapon attacking with the weapon will eventually break it due to the sheer force of it, unless it is incredibly durable. You gain 2 STR, going over 20. Your DEX increases by 2, this goes over 20 as well. The User's STR becomes 18 if it already isnt'. Their DEX becomes 17 if it already isn't. The ability ends if you hit 0 hit points or are knocked out. You are enraged, but not to the point of attacking your allies or every turn. You generally lose ability to rationalize your thoughts and if you are already a very violent and aggressive person. Angry people will be in rage, needing to attack every turn, but it grants you no bonus to said attacks.
This transformation will only last 1-5mins, depending on the GM. You can reactivate it later, but upon deactivation you gain 3 exhaustion the first time. 2 the next and 1 every time after.
Giant Ape Help
Giant Apes keep going until they are knocked out, their tail is cut off or the moon is gone. They are pretty strong, but they can only attack things next to them, and are unaware of anything going on. They are in a complete rage, even worse than a barbarian. They do gain immunity to charms and sleeps as well. Magical at least, they are weak to fire and resistant to blunt and piercing, but not slashing. To cut off the tail the attack needs to do more than a 1/3rd of their hit points or you need to deal more than a 1/3rd of their hit points to their tail. Once attacked, they will start to defend it naturally. If the Saiyan is an Elite or you decide, they can control this Transformation. Of course one way of dealing with this is to destroy the moon.

Power of the Great Ape. Your Hit Points are multiplied by 2. You gain a vulnerability to fire, while gaining resistance to bludgeoning damage and piercing damage.
Rage of the Great Ape. You are enraged, this means you must attack every turn and you must attack whatever is near you each and every turn, friends and foe alike, even buildings.

Earthshaker Melee Weapon Attack: 25 ft sphere is created where the user is standing, all caught within must make a DEX saving throw or they take 4d? + 6 damage. On passing the saving throw they take half the damage.

Removed Martial Art Trait, Removed Flying(Adding to subclass), Changes Super Saiyan stats and Giant Ape stats. Added alignment, switched up Names and Family, Made Great aPe Stat block
Tweaked Elite / Low Class a bit. Added in relentless endurance, made Saiyan base speed 30 ft, not 35 ft. Low Class get 40 ft and Acrobatics now.
- Martial Artist Adept: Your unarmed attacks deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage. At 7th level this increase to 1d6, at 14 it's 1d8, at 17 its 1d10.
With Super Saiyan you advanced to your next dice level and if at the cap you dealt 3d6. Giant Ape did the same thing.

The Legendary Saiyan
If you want to go down this road in a high level, maybe high power campaign, this could exist. They are vastly stronger than their counterparts and are considered to be the strongest Saiyan to be born in thousands of years. These Saiyans are born abnormally stronger than the rest, and that's saying something. They are often times dimwitted and for the best word, Autistic. They have very little people skills, they are more induced to rage than a normal Saiyan and they act like a child for most of the time - doing as they please since they were blessed.
Traits
More muscle mass and taller than other Saiyans. They gain an Additional +1 to CON and +1 to STR, but suffer a -3 to Charisma. (Yes a -3) They too gain the Tough Feat upon being born as well. Alongside this they have Unarmed Weapon trait. This gives them a 1d4 for unarmed strikes.
- Ki Expert:At 5th level you gain the fly spell, this takes up a bonus action and the fly speed is half your moving speed, you can hover as well.
