Oath of Prosperity

Paladins who take the Oath of Prosperity advance the ideal of free society. It is their sworn duty to promote economic growth, which they believe to be the best engine of progress. Such paladins are often lawful, but they would fervently oppose any government that stifled the functioning of free markets. They understand the pursuit of self-interest to be compatible with (or even essential to) the greater good.

Numerous paladins of this oath serve the goddess of trade, Waukeen. They are known as Fiducenaries.

Tenets of Prosperity

The tenets of the Oath of Prosperity vary by order. The following tenets, known as the Fiducenary Responsibilities, are the tenets of Waukeen's order of paladins.

Liberty. Freedom is the foundation of progress and civilization. Preserve liberty at all costs.

Property. Property rights are essential for healthy commerce—protect them even when the law does not.

Celebrate Prosperity. To profit from honest commerce is to add value to society. Grow your wealth and inspire others to prosper.

Creative Destruction. Don’t stand in the way of progress. The demise of the unprofitable and obsolete will pave the way for better things.
