Actions

Multiattack. The spiritual owlbear makes three attacks: one with its beak and two with its claws

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Spectral Charge. If the spiritual owlbear moves more than 20ft. in a line it deals 5 (1d10) damage to all creatures it goes through. If the targets it moves through are creatures, they must succeed on a DC15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. Additionally, if the spiritual owlbear lands next to a creature, it may do a Beak attack as a bonus action.

Fantasmal Screech (1/day). The spiritual owlbear releases a deafening screech. This screech has no effect on constructs and undead. All other creatures within 30 feet of her that can hear her must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature drops to 0 hit points. On a success, a creature takes 10 (3d6) psychic damage.

Reactions

Possessive redirection. The spiritual owlbear screeches when either itself, or one of its cubs is about to receive an attack from an enemy within 30ft, taking brief control over them. The attacker must succeed on a DC14 Wisdom Saving Throw or redirect its attack to another creature.

Legendary Actions

The spiritual owlbear can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The spiritual owlbear regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Beak. The spiritual owlbear uses its Beak.

Tactical repositioning. The spiritual owlbear uses its Spectral Charge.

Deathly Gaze (Costs 2 Actions). The spiritual owlbear stares at a target within 60ft. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or become frightened for 1 minute. The frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a target's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the spiritual owlbear's gaze for the next 24 hours.
