Roguish Archetype - Hoardstealer

Dragons often make use of mortals to carry out tasks for them - some of which target other dragons. Hoardstealers were originally born out of this desire, as expert infiltrators tasked to steal away parts of a rival dragon's hoard without ever being noticed. Since then the practice has expended, and though the skills are still often associated with the name Hoardstealer, they don't necessarily focus on dragon hoards anymore. Instead they act as an apex scout and infiltrator when it comes to locating and extracting valuable goods.

It is their draconic origin which is the source of their magical abilities, though these are far more limited and directed than most spellcasters.

Spellhoarder

At 3rd level the Hoardstealer gains access to a number of spells that they can use each once per long rest, without providing any material components (including costly ones), as detailed below. As you gain further levels in this class, you gain access to additional spells. Your spellcasting ability ability for these spells is Intelligence.

Hoardstealer Level Spells
3rd Detect Magic, Expeditious Retreat, Identify, Tenser's Floating Disk
7th Invisibility, Knock, Pass Without Trace, Nystul's Magic Aura
11th Clairvoyance, Dispel Magic, Nondetection, Protection from Energy
15th Arcane Eye, Dimension Door, Greater Invisibility, Freedom of Movement
19th Legend Lore, Passwall

Treasure Dowser

At 3rd level when you take this subclass you gain an intuitive sense for treasure. As an action you can declare a type of treasure (such as gold, diamonds, art objects, or similar) and gain knowledge of any notable caches of the declared type of treasure within 100' of you for each Hoardstealer level you have. At 10th level you can also select to detect magic items of a rarity up to Rare, up to Very Rare at 15th level, and up to Legendary at 20th level. At 20th level the detection radius also increases to 10 miles.

This feature can be used once, refreshing on a long rest.

Trapfinder

From 9th level you gain an intuitive sens for traps and secret passages. Your passive perception baseline is treated as 20, not 10, before adding modifiers, for the purposes of spotting traps and secret doors.

Deep Pockets

Hoardstealers need somewhere to put their illgotten gains. From 9th level as an action you can touch a container - such as a waistcoat pocket, a backpack or a barrel - to turn into the equivalent of a Bag of Holding. This lasts until you either use the feature again or until the container is destroyed. If either of these occur any items that were still in the container spill out onto the floor undamaged.

Blinded Blindsight

At 13th level, you've learned to counteract the ability of dragons (and other creatures) to detect you when invisible. When you take the Hide action, Blindsight and Tremorsense does not work against you. Other senses, such as normal sight, Darkvision, and Truesight still work as normal.

Perfect Stealth

At 18th level your capacity for infiltration reaches its apex. As an action you can turn Invisible, using another action to end the effect. You can remain invisible for a cumulative two hours, deduct the time you are invisible, in increments of 1 minute, from this.

The duration of this ability refreshes on a long rest.
