``` ``` # Archer The path of the archer is one of dedication and hard work, but in the end it leads to unparralleled accuracy and uncanny indurence. Not everyone is suited to this path, some see the bow as nothing more than a ranged backup weapon, to be used when simply hitting things isn't an options. Others don't see the bow as a viable tool at all. But to the archer, the bow is the ultimate expresion of ones training and focus, an extension to ones will that spellslingers and brutes will never fully comprehend. ### Creating an Archer As you are creating your archer, keep in mind which event or situation pushed yourself to wield a bow or crossbow. What was the deciding factor that made yourself spend years of your life in practice and meditation with the art of precision. Are you a loner, using the destructive range of the bow to keep yourself distanced from the world? As a hunter do you stalk prey and track foes patiantly? Or are you a friend, backing up your companions and watching there back?

#### Quick Build You can make an archer quickly by following thse suggestions. First, Dexterity should be your highest ability score, followed by Wisdom, Strength, or Intelligence depending on the subclass you'll pick in the future. Choose the Outlander, Soldier, or Folk Hero background. ## Class Features As an Archer you gain the following class features: #### Hit Points **Hit Dice:** 1d8 per archer level **Hit Points at 1st Level:** 8 + your Constitution modifier **Hit Points at Higher Levels:** 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per archer level after 1st #### Proficiencies **Armor:** Light armor, medium armor **Weapons:** Simple weapons, shortswords, scimitars, longbows **Tools:** One type of tool proficiency **Saving Throws:** Strength, Dexterity **Skills:** Choose two from Acrobatics, Athletics, Investigation, Perception, Stealth, & Survival #### Equipment You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by you background: ``` ``` * *(a)* a longbow and a quiver of 20 arrows or *(b)* a shortbow and a quiver of 20 arrows * *(a)* a chain shirt or *(b)* studded leather armor * *(a)* a dungeoneer's pack or *(b)* an explorer's pack * Two daggers ___ *You must have a Dexterity score of 13 or higher in order to multiclass in or out of this class.* ### Fighting Style At 1st level, you may adopt a partcular style of fighting as your specialty. Choose one of the following options. You can't take the same Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again. #### Archery You gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls you make with ranged weapons. #### Close Quarter Shooter (UA) You are trained in making ranged attacks at close quarters. When making a ranged attack while you are within 5 feet of a hostile creature, you do not have disadvantage on the attack roll. Your ranged attacks ignore half cover and three‑quarters cover against targets within 30 feet of you. Finally, you have a +1 bonus to attack rolls on ranged attacks. #### Defense While you are wearing armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC. #### Piercing Shot You gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls you make with two-handed ranged weapons. ### Dexterous Also at 1st level, you gain proficiency in one Dexterity based skill of your choice. In addition, you can add half your poficiency bonus to all Dexterity based checks in which you are not already proficient. ### Empowered Shot At 2nd level, before you make a ranged weapon attack, you may choose to make it an empowered shot. These empowered shots have special effects that apply when you hit or attempt to hit your target. You may apply one effect, once per attack action, and only to ranged attacks. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses of this feature after you finish a short or long rest. If an empowered shot requires the target to make a saving throw, the saving throw DC is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + Wisdom modifier. ##### Disarm When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can attempt to make the target drop an item of your choice that it is holding. you may force the target of your attack to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it drops the object you choose. The object is knocked back by 10 feet. \page

##### Head Shot When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, the attack deals extra damage equal to your Archer class level. ##### Pin When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, it must succeed a Strength saving throw or its movement speed is halved until the start of your next turn. ##### Trick Shot When trying to hit a small stationary item (like a vase or a button), your attempt to hit it has advantage. You can not use this ability in combat or to target any kind of creature. ##### Short Volley Instead of a regular attack you can fire a volley at one creature and up to two additional creatures that are within 5 ft. of it (all three creatures need to be within your weapon's normal range). Instead of making a ranged attack against the creatuers, all three make Dexterity saving throws, on a failed roll a creature is hit by one of your arrows. This feature does not benefit from Hightened Concentration, nor does it allow you to use Tight Grouping on the same turn. ### Archer Specialty At 3rd level, you may choose a type of technique to specialize in, this specialization determines what type of archer you wish to be. Choose either Agile Marksman, The Soulbow, or Warbow Specialist, all of which are detailed at the end of this class description. Your specialty grants you features at 3rd level and again at 6th, 10th, 15th, and 18th levels. ### Ability Score Improvement When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. Alternatively, you can choose a feat (see Chapter 6 for a list of feats). ### Extra Attack Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three when you reach 13th level in this class. ### Heightened Concentration Starting at 7th level, if you forgo taking your movement action and a bonus action on a turn, you have advantage on all ranged attacks this turn. ``` ``` ### Tight Gouping At 11th level, your accuracy when firing at the same point is greatly increased, allowing you to fire at the same point repeatedly to try and pierce the armor of your foes. If you choose to take all of your Attack action's attacks as ranged attacks against the same target, every attack after the first can critically strike on a natural 19 as well as a 20. (If you have mulitple Attack actions from any other source, like the Haste spell, this ability resets for each seperate Attack action). ### Deadly Aim At the 17th level, your ability to use a bow becomes worrying to your foes. When you score a critical hit with a ranged weapon Attack, you roll all the dice of the attack 3 times instead of just twice. ### Sniper When you reach 20th level, your Dexterity score increases by 4. Your maximum for this score is now 24. In addition, you may never make a ranged weapons attack roll with disadvantage (though disadvantage can cancel out with advantage to give you a regular attack), and your ranged attacks bypass creature's resistance to piercing damage of any kind, and creatures with immunity to piercing damage take half damage from your ranged attacks. \page

## Archer Specialty The archer is the choice for a life of those who rejected societies notion of fighting on equal ground, and and use their skills to keep themselves safe and utilize the advantage of their range and training. But archers come in many variations; the soldiers, the survivalists, the hunters, and even thos who dabble in magic and science to give themselves the edge in combat. ### Agile Marksman The specialty of the Agile Marksman comes in their ability to maintain their concentration and acuracy during the heat of battle, even while running around and dodging an onslaught of blows and projectiles. Once a full master, the Agile Marksman is never surprised in combat, and can always position itself in the most strategic way possible. #### Cunning Action Starting at 3rd level, your quick thinking and agility allow you to move and act quickly. You can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action. #### Vault Starting at 6th level, whenever you start you turn within 5 feet of a hostile creature, you may vault 10 feet directly away from them without expending movement (this wouldn't stop you from using Hightened Concentration) and without provoking an attack of opportunity. #### Full Range of Opportunities Starting at 10th level, you may preform attacks of opportunity with your ranged weapons. In addition, you can now use your reaction to perform an attack of opportunity when a creature provokes one from one of your allies. #### Adrenaline Starting at 15th level, your instincts are so honed that you have advantage on initiative rolls, and can not be surprised at the beginning of combat if you are not incapacitated. In addition, if you have a levels of exhaustion when you roll for initiative, for the duration of the combat you ignore the highest level of exhaustion. #### A Leaf on the Wind At 18th level, you have mastered the flow of combat and have learned to glide through it like a leaf on the wind. You no longer provoke attacks of opportunity when leaving the range of a hostile creature (with the exception of those with Legendary Actions) and have advantage on all Dexterity based saving throws. In addition, your understanding of combat and the movements of your allies has allowed you to strike at the precise moment your enemies are distracted. You have advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated. ``` ``` ### The Soulbow A rare few archers, after many years practicing with physical weapons, learn to harness and shape their own soul into a bow of great power. Through this connection, and knowledge of themselves and the veil, The Soulbow gains magical abilities beyond those of common archers. #### Soul Forged Bow Beginning at 3rd level, you create a spiritual weapon in the shape of a bow that you can summon and use whenever you call upon it. This weapon is called a Soulforged Bow; 1d8 Magical Piercing damage, two handed, no ammunition required (80/320 feet). If you drop the bow it is immediatly dispelled. The Soulforged Bow does not require ammunition, and do not leave arrows beind after hitting something. The benefits of a Soulforged Bow carry over to any magical bow that you are attuned to. This means that any future skills in the Archer Specialty apply to this bow and it can be dismissed and called upon at will (A relic can not be dismissed in this fashion). #### Innate Spiritual Detection From 3rd level and onwards, you can cast the Detect Evil and Good spell a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) per long rest. #### Soul Fragment Arrowheads Starting at 6th level, your arrows leave inside your enemies a splinter of your very soul that rapidly fades away. These Soul Fragment Arrowheads last for 10 minutes and during that time you know the direction and distance of each fragment. On your Turn, as a bonus action, you may rip out out all embedded Soul Fragment Arrowheads from enemies, rending their body. For each Soul Fragment Arrowhead removed from an enemy, that creature takes 1d4 force damage. You can use this ability once per long rest. #### Transference Arrow At higher levels of training a Soulbow learns that not only is his bow an extension of himself, but he is an extension of his weapon. Beggining at 10th level, you may spend your action to shoot a magical arrow that will carry your very being to its destination. Pick an unoccupied point within range of your soulforged bow, you fire an arrow at the location and once the arrow hits you teleport to that location. This move does not provoke an attack of opportunity. Once you use this ability, you may not do so again until you have taken a long rest. #### Divinatory Senses Starting at 15th level, you gain a supernatural ability to sense the essence of foes around you, this helps you fight creatures you can’t see. You are aware of the location of any creature within 30 feet of you even if it is invisible (with the exception of concstructs). When you attack a creature you can’t see, your inability to see it does not impose disadvantage on your attack rolls against it. Your Soul Fragment Arrowheads now deal 1d6 force damage instead 1d4 per arrowhead. \page

#### Deeper Rending Starting at level 18, when you use your Soul Fragment Arrowhead ability, each arrowhead deals 1d8 force damage instead of 1d6. You can now regain use of this ability after a short or long rest. ### Warbow Specialist Among the ranks of the archers, none posses the strength and the skill to use it as the Warbow Specialists. A group of archers that use the heaviest bows to fire strong piercing arrows that shatter armor and incapacitate their foes. #### Strong Build When you take this Archer Specialty at level 3, when calculating the save DC for your Empowered Shot you use Strength instead of Wisdom (save DC equals to 8 + your proficiency bonus + Strength modifier). #### Bonus Proficiencies Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following Proficiencies due to your training with heavy equipment: * You are proficient with heavy armor. * You are Proficient with the Warbow; 1d10 Piercing damage, two handed, ammunition (200/800 ft.), heavy, requires a Strength of 13 or higher. #### Heavy Draw Beggining at 6th level, whenever you make an attack with your Warbow you add your Strength modifier to the damage (this is in addtion to your Dexterity modifier). #### Endurance Training Over the years, training to withstand the stress of holding a Warbow for prolonged periods of time has toughned up your body and levels of endurance. Starting at 10th level, you gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws. #### Heavy Impact Shots At 15th level, on turns that you do not use your Empowered Shot feature, you can preform a Heavy Impact Shot on one of your Warbow attacks. When you hit a target with a Heavy Impact Shot, they must succeed on a Strength saving throw (the save DC is the same as that of your Empowered Shot) or be knocked prone. Creatures of size Large and greater succeed this save automatically. #### Armor Shattering Rounds Beggining at level 18, your Heavy Impact Shots hit with such impact they can knock down even larger quarry and destroy armor permenantly. Large creatures no longer succeed on their Heavy Impact Shots automatically. When you hit a creature, wearing nonmagical armor, with Heavy Impact Shot, their armor takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to the AC it provides (regardless of the Strength saving throw). If the AC the armor provides drops to 10, the armor is permanently destroyed. When you hit a creature that has natural armor with a Heavy Impact Shot, they take a permanent and cumulatve -1 penalty to their AC (regardless of the Strength saving throw). This penalty may be healed back outside of combat depending on the creature. \page

## Additionl Archer Specialties Though uncommon, there are other special paths that certain archers take, relying not only on thesharpness of their arrows but also on the sharpness of ther intellect. ### Arcane Archer *Disclaimer - This is for the most part a conversion of the official fighter subclass of the same name to what I hope is a better home. If you choose to use the archer class you should disregard the Arcane Archer fighter subclass.* ___ An Arcane Archer studies a unique elven method of archery that weaves magic into attacks to produce supernatural effects. Arcane Archers are some of their most elite warriors among the elves. They stand watch over the fringes of elven domains, keeping a keen eye out for trespassers and using magic-infused arrows to defeat monsters and invaders before they can reach elven settlements. Over the centuries, the methods of these elf archers have been learned by members of other races who can also balance arcane aptitude with archery. #### Sharp Mind When you take this Archer Specialty at level 3, when calculating the save DC for your Empowered Shot (and Arcane Shot) use your Intelligence instead of your Wisdom (save DC equals to 8 + your proficiency bonus + Intelligence modifier). #### Arcane Archer Lore At 3rd level, you learn magical theory or some of the secrets of nature – typical for practitioners of of this elven martial tradition. You choose to gain proficiency in either the Arcana or the Nature skill, and you choose to learn either the Prestidigitation or Druidcraft cantrip. #### Arcane Shot At 3rd level, you learn to unleash special magical effects with some of your shots. When you gain this feature, you learn two Arcane Shot options of your choice and add them to the possible Empowered Shots you can make. (see "Arcane Shot Options" below). Unlike a regular Empowered Shot, you can choose to apply your Arcane Shot bonus after you know the arrow will hit your target. You gain an additional Arcane Shot option of your choice when you reach certain levels in this class: 6th, 10th, 15th, and 18th level. Each option also improves when you become an 18th-level archer. #### Arcane Shot Options The Arcane Shot feature lets you choose options for it at certain levels. The options are presented here in alphabetical order. They are all magical effects, and each one is associated with one of the schools of magic. If an option requires a saving throw, your Arcane Shot save DC is equal to your Empowered Shot save DC. ``` ``` ##### Banishing Arrow You use abjuration magic to try to temporarily banish your target to a harmless location in the Feywild. The creature hit by the arrow must also succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be banished. While banished in this way, its speed is 0, and it is incapacitated. At the end of its next turn, the target reappears in the space it vacated or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied. After you reach 18th level in this class, a target also takes 2d6 force damage when the arrow hits it. ##### Beguiling Arrow Your enchantment magic causes this arrow to temporarily beguile its target. The creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 psychic damage, and choose one of your allies within 30 feet of the target. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw, or it is charmed by the chosen ally until the start of your next turn. This effect ends early if the chosen ally attacks the charmed target, deals damage to it, or forces it to make a saving throw. The psychic damage increases to 4d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. ##### Bursting Arrow You imbue your arrow with force energy drawn from the school of evocation. The arrow detonates after your attack. Immediately after the arrow hits the creature, the target and all other creatures within 10 feet of it take 2d6 force damage each. The force damage increases to 4d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. \page

##### Enfeebling Arrow You weave necromantic magic into your arrow. The creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 necrotic damage. The target must also succeed on a Constitution saving throw, or the damage dealt by its weapon attacks is halved until the start of your next turn. The necrotic damage increases to 4d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. ##### Grasping Arrow When this arrow strikes its target, conjuration magic creates grasping, poisonous brambles, which wrap around the target. The creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 poison damage, its speed is reduced by 10 feet, and it takes 2d6 slashing damage the first time on each turn it moves 1 foot or more without teleporting. The target or any creature that can reach it can use its action to remove the brambles with a successful Strength (Athletics) check against your Arcane Shot save DC. Otherwise, the brambles last for 1 minute or until you use this option again. The poison damage and slashing damage both increase to 4d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. ##### Piercing Arrow You use transmutation magic to give your arrow an ethereal quality. When you use this option, you don’t make an attack roll for the attack. Instead, the arrow fires forward in a line, which is 1 foot wide and 30 feet long, before disappearing. The arrow passes harmlessly through objects, ignoring cover. Each creature in that line must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes damage as if it were hit by the arrow, plus an extra 1d6 piercing damage. On a successful save, a target takes half as much damage. The piercing damage increases to 2d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. ``` ``` ##### Seeking Arrow Using divination magic, you grant your arrow the ability to seek out your target, allowing the arrow to curve and twist its path in search of its prey. When you use this option, you don’t make an attack roll for the attack. Instead, choose one creature you have seen in the past minute. The arrow flies toward that creature, moving around corners if necessary and ignoring three-quarters cover and half cover. If the target is within the weapon’s range and there is a path large enough for the arrow to travel to the target, the target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, it takes damage as if it were hit by the arrow, plus an extra 1d6 force damage, and you learn the target’s current location. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage, and you don’t learn its location. The force damage increases to 2d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. ##### Shadow Arrow You weave illusion magic into your arrow, causing it to occlude your foe’s vision with shadows. The creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 psychic damage, and it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be unable to see anything farther than 5 feet away until the start of your next turn. The psychic damage increases to 4d6 when you reach 18th level in this class. #### Magic Arrow At 6th level, you gain the ability to infuse arrows with magic. Whenever you fire a nonmagical arrow from a shortbow or longbow, you can make it magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. The magic fades from the arrow immediately after it hits or misses its target. #### Curving Shot At 10th level, you learn how to direct an errant arrow toward a new target. When you make an attack roll with a magic arrow and miss, you can use a bonus action to reroll the attack roll against a different target within 60 feet of the original target. #### Ever-Ready Shot Starting at 15th level, your magical archery is available whenever battle starts. If you roll initiative and have no uses of Empowered Shot remaining, you regain one use of it. #### Greater Arcane Shot At 18th level of this class, each of your Arcane Shot options gaines an additional effect. ### Crossbow Tinkerer Not every archer is strong enough to master the traditional bows, nor interested in the decades it takes to master it. These archers resort to using the crossbow to its fullest potentiol. Some of these crossbow specialists, use their dexterity, nimble fingers, and incredible mind to improve and tinker with their crossbows and bolts. With time these skills also spill over to a general knowledge of tinkering and explosives. \page

#### Sharp Mind When you take this Archer Specialty at level 3, when calculating the save DC for your Empowered Shot (and Arcane Shot) use your Intelligence instead of your Wisdom (save DC equals to 8 + your proficiency bonus + Intelligence modifier). #### Bonus Proficiencies Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following proficiencies due to your many tinkering with things: * You are proficient with Tinker's Tools * You are proficient with all types of crossbows and ignore their loading quality. #### Modified Bolts You have learned to tinker with crossbow bolts to make specialty bolts for special occasions. At level 3 you will gain access to three types of modified crossbow bolts that you can make. Each type of modified bolt will require a standard crossbow bolt and other resources as written in each type of bolt. It takes one hour to make a single modified bolt which you can spend during a short or long rest. You can carry at any one time a number of modified bolts equal to twice your Archer level. (see "Modified Bolt Options" below). You gain two additional Modified Bolts options of your choice when you reach 6th levels in this class, and one more option at 10th, 15th, and 18th level each. Each time you learn new Modified Bolts options, you can also replace one Modified Bolts options you know with a different one. #### Modified Bolts Options The Modified Bolts feature lets you choose options for it at certain levels. The options are presented here in alphabetical order. They are all nonmagical effects, and some may require a certain level before learning them. If an option requires a saving throw, your Modified Bolts save DC is equal to your Empowered Shot save DC. ##### Armor Piercing Bolts These bolts have a specially designed arrow head for penetrating armor. When using this bolt to make a ranged attack against a creature wearing medium or heavy armor, double your proficiency bonus for the attack roll. *Requires tinkerer's tools, and a standard crossbow bolt.* ##### Boom Bolts *Prerequisite: 6th level* A loud but otherwise harmless explosive is attached to the bolt. Immediatly after the bolt impacts with the target all creatures within a 30 foot radius must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is deafened until your next turn and can not take an action besides movement on its next turn. The sound of the explosion can be heard up to 300 feet away. *Requires tinkerer's tools, alchemist's supplies, a standard crossbow bolt, and loud explosive's components (2gp).* ``` ```

##### Explosive Bolts *Prerequisite: 6th level* You place a small explosive at the head of the bolt. The bolt detonates on impact. Immediatly after the bolt hits a creature, the target and all other creatures within 10 feet of it take 1d6 fire damage. *Requires tinkerer's tools, alchemist's supplies, a standard crossbow bolt, and explosive's components (5gp).* ##### Glowpowder Bolts A small payload of glowing powder designed to make the target easier to hit. A creature hit with this bolt is covered in powder that glows until the end of your next turn. Any attack roll against the affected creature while it is glowing has advantage (as long as the attacker can see the target). *Requires tinkerer's tools, a standard crossbow bolt, a little metal, and glowpowder (5sp).* \page

##### Grappling Bolts You affix a small grappling hook and rope to the front and back of the bolt respectivly. Firing this bolt at a location that would normally let a person hold onto allows the grappling hook to attach onto while leaving the other end of the rope with you. The length of the rope is specified when you make the bolt. The grappling hook and rope can hold upto the weight of one medium sized creature and whatever it is carrying. *Requires tinkerer's tools, a standard crossbow bolt, rope (affects bolts usage range), and some metal.* ##### Poison Gas Bolts *Prerequisite: 10th level* You affix small canister of noxious gas that blows up upon impact. When your attack hits its mark all creatures within a 15 foot radius must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d6 poison damage, and must repeat the saving throw at the start of each of its turns. On each successive failed save, the character takes 1d6 poison damage. After three successful saves, the poison ends. *Requires tinkerer's tools, alchemist's supplies, a standard crossbow bolt, some metal bits, and poison components (20gp).* ##### Snare Bolts You add a spring mechanism that expands into a net. When you make a ranged attack with this bolt it doesn't deal any damage, instead it attepts to ensnare the target in a net. The target makes a Dexterity saving throw (instead of your attack roll), on a failed save the creature is considered grapled with an escape DC equal to your Modified Bolt's DC. The netting of this bolt makes it only usable on creatures that are medium size or smaller. *Requires tinkerer's tools, a standard crossbow bolt, bits of metal, and thin metal netting components (1gp).* ##### Smoke Bomb Bolts *Prerequisite: 6th level* You add a smoke bomb to the tip of the bolt that erupts on impact creating a smoke cloud that lasts for 2 rounds of combat. After hitting the target, a smoke cloud forms in a 15 foot radius sphere from the point of impact. Creatures in the cloud are considered blinded as long as they remain in the cloud. *Requires tinkerer's tools, alchemist's supplies, a standard crossbow bolt, metal bits. and smoke bomb components (5sp).* #### Chemical Tinkering Starting at 6th level, you gain proficiency in Alchemist's Supplies and your knowledge with your Tinkerer's Tools is increased. You can start making small mechanical items like compasses, clocks, and music boxes (the difficulty of each is determined by the DM). You can use your tinkerer's tools to try and disassemble non-magןcal traps you encounter. In addition you can attempt to create simple mechanical traps using materials you have on hand. The DC to detect and dismantle any of your traps is equal to the skill check you preform with your Tinkerer's Tools (Intelligence). The damage type of the trap depends on the materials you use. When you reach 10th level, your practice in making modified bolts has made you an expert, enhancing the abilities of each kind of bolt you make (these bonuses do not apply to your already made bolts, only to the ones you make from now on. Though you can spend an hour per bolt to upgrade it during your rests): * ##### Armor Piercing Bolts Bolts deal an additional 1d6 piercing damage, regardless of the target creature's armor type (includes natural armor). * ##### Boom Bolts On a failed save, targets are also knocked prone. * ##### Explosive Bolts The area of the explosion is increased to a 20 ft. radius and the damage is increased to 3d6 fire damage. * ##### Glowpoder Bolts Now affects any creature witthin a 15 ft. square centered on the target. * ##### Grappling Hook Bolts The carrying capacity of the bolts is now one Large creature or 4 Medium creatures (with their equipment). * ##### Poison Gas Bolts The poison of these bolts now make the creatures that fail the initial saving throw; paralyzed, blinded, or asleep (you determine this when making the bolt). When the creature makes its first saving throw to end the poisons effect the condition. \page

* ##### Snare Bolts Can now also snare Large creatures. * ##### Smoke Bomb Bolts The smoke cloud is now a 30 ft. radius sphere and lasts for a whole minute. #### Overengineered Crossbow Starting at 15th level, once per turn, when making a ranged attack that isn't an Empowered Shot, you can push your crossbow to its very limits. When preforming a shot like this, add twice your Intelligence modifier to the attack and damage rolls. You can not use this ability again until you take a short or long rest (to recalibrate your crossbow). #### Anti Tampering Design Starting at 18th level, you design your traps to be harder and riskier for others to dismantle. When making a trap using your tinkerer's tools add +5 to your skill check when determining the trap's DC. In addition, whenever you make one of your traps, you can add to your trap a feature that forces the trap to go off after one failed attempt at disarming it. Also, whenever a person besides you tries to use any of your crossbows, they must make an Intelligence saving throw (DC is the same as your Empowered Shot DC). If they fail this save they take 2d4 piercing damage and can't use that crossbow. They can retry this saving throw again in 24 hours.
