\page ### Pack Lord There must always be a leader of a pack. This order of rangers take the role on themselves, and tend to their packs like family. Whether you lead a pack of wolves or a gang of pygmy goblins, you are part of the pack now. #### Pack Lord Magic _3rd-level Pack Lord feature_ You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Pack Lord Spells table. Each spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know. ###### Pack Lord Spells | Ranger Level | Spells | |:-----:|:--------------------| | 3rd | _command_ | | 5th | _rope trick_ | | 9th | _spirit guardians_ | | 13th | _death ward_ | | 17th | _telepathic bond_ | #### Heightened Senses _3rd-level Pack Lord feature_ As the leader of a pack, it is your responsibility to protect them. You gain adantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell. #### Spirits of the Pack _3rd-level Pack Lord feature_ You become the leader of a spirit pack. The pack is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. The pack uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. You determine the appearances of your pack, as well as the number, generally two or three at first. In combat, the pack shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. You can also sacrifice one of your attacks when you take the Attack action to command the pack to take the Attack action. If you are incapacitated, the pack can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge. If the pack has died within the last hour, you can use your action to summon them and expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher. The pack returns to life after 1 minute with all its hit points restored. When you finish a long rest, you can summon your pack. The pack appears in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you, and you choose its appearance. If you already have a pack from this feature, it vanishes when the new pack appears. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 + PB Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. }} #### The Pack Grows _7th-level Pack Lord feature_ Your pack grows in numbers, and fights with invigorated strength. Your pack gains the following benefits: : ***Magic Bite.*** The pack's attacks now count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage, and deal an extra 1d6 force damage. : ***Keep Them Down.*** In addition, when the pack successfully knocks a creature prone with the Attack action, it grapples the creature. As an action or at the end of their turn, a creature grappled in this way can make a DC 11 + PB Strength saving throw to escape. : ***Large Pack.*** The pack grows to a large size. You determine the appearance, whether your pack members increase in size or in quantity.

\page #### Howling Call _11th-level Pack Lord feature_ As an action, you let out a howl and summon another pack to descend on your enemies at a point within 60-feet of you, which then fades away. Each creature of your choice in a 15-foot radius must succeed on Strength saving throw against your spell save DC, taking 6d6 force damage on a failed save and are knocked prone, or half as much on a successful one. This damage increases to 8d6 when you reach 15th level in this class. Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest, unless you expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use it again. #### Fury of the Pack _15th-level Pack Lord feature_ You and the pack work in total unison, and are as deadly as ever. While the pack has a creature grappled, it is considered restrained. In addition, you and the pack gain advantage against a creature if at least one of your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
