## Weave Whisperer Bloodied and bruised, an elf finds the strength with herself to stand up, her enemies watching as a careful snap of her fingers summons an explosion of magical force before them. As the gates come crashing down, as undead hordes continue to swarm into the keep, a dwarf rallies his allies to continue fighting, drawing upon greater strength to further their defenses. An item of unknown age before them, a gnome communes with the very magic that flows through it to know more of its creators. As Wizards and Sorcerers bend the will of magic to them, Weave Whisperers are guided by it, serving as a cleric would to a god to the very forces of magic itself. Rather than drawing from one’s inner strength to exert influence over the weave, a Weave Whisperer catches the ripples that flow through the weave, storing this energy before letting it flow back into the world around them. ### Ripples across reality Every action and event causes ripples across the weave, from the lowliest butterfly flapping its wings to the greatest of battles unfolding. A Weave Whisperer doesn’t have a deep reserve of magic to draw from like other spell casters, instead, they train in 'catching' these ripples in order to use them as a source of arcane power. A Weave Whisperer brought to near death could convert this harm against them into the very fireball that saves them. Weave Whisperers draw their power from the use of magic, however their relation to it is that of a partnership. Weave Whisperers are attuned to the magic that flows through the universe as if they themselves were it. Magic is not a tool to be used, but a partner who they work with.

### Guardians of Magic The idea of a Weave Whisperer is not a very well-known practice of magic, and upon first glance an average person would be more likely to assume them to be a Wizard or Sorcerer. This is due in part to the rarity of Weave Whispering as a form of training, as well as its lack of history within the realms. The first Weave Whisperers were a secluded organization appointed by the god of magic following a disastrous event which tore apart the weave. These original Weave Whisperers swore to protect and guard the very forces of magic that permeate the realms. In modern times, Weave Whisperers appear from place to place with a number of origins. Some are descendants of these originators of the art, while others are naturally attuned and find themselves forming a powerful connection to the weave.

### Creating a Weave Whisperer When you create your Weave Whisperer character, consider how your character has achieved their bond with the forces of magic. Perhaps your character was selected by an elder in the craft, who when tracing through the past originates their powers from the first Weave Whisperers. Perhaps you were born in a place of high arcane energy, granting you greater insight to the weave as it surrounds you. Perhaps your character was chosen by the weave to become its servant and guardian. Perhaps a god of magic chose for you to follow this path, rather than that of a normal cleric. Has your character always been an adventurer during your life as one who serves the weave, or did you spend time as a recluse, hiding away studying with it? Perhaps the weave called to you to take up adventuring to halt one who would seek to defile the weave, or maybe you took a life of adventuring to observe the beauty of magic throughout the world?

\page ### Quick Build You can quickly make a Weave Whisperer by following these suggestions: First, Wisdom should be your highest ability score, followed by Constitution. Second, choose the hermit background. #### Hit Points ___ - **Hit Dice:** 1d8 per Weave Whisperer level - **Hit Points at 1st Level:** 8 + your Constitution modifier - **Hit Points at Higher Levels:** 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per Weave Whisperer level after 1st #### Proficiencies ___ - **Armor:** Light armor - **Weapons:** Simple Weapons, Scimitar - **Tools:** Weaver's Tools ___ - **Saving Throws:** Constitution, Intelligence - **Skills:** Choose two from Arcana, History, Insight, Medicine, Perception, and Religion. #### Equipment You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background: - *(a)* a quarterstaff or *(b)* a scimitar - *(a)* a Light Crossbow and 20 bolts or *(b)* any simple weapon - *(a)* a component pouch or *(b)* an arcane focus - *(a)* a Priests’ Pack or *(b)* a Scholar's Pack . ### Dialogue Arcana You understand the Dialogue Arcana, a hidden language used by Weave Whisperers to communicate with one another. Rather than speaking, you communicate with someone else who knows this language by subtly releasing ideas and emotions into the weave. You can also choose to leave hidden messages, a looping emotion or concept. You and d others who know this language automatically spot such a message. Others spot the message's presence with a successful DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check but can't decipher it without magic. ### Spell Whispering By harnessing the latent energies of magic, you can guide it to harness arcane magic. #### Cantrips At 1st level, you know three cantrips of your choice from the weave whisperer spell list. You learn additional weave whisperer cantrips of your choice at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips Known column of the Weave Whisperer table. Whenever you reach a level in this class that grants the Ability Score Improvement feature, you can replace one cantrip you learned from this class's Spellcasting feature with another cantrip from the weave whisperer spell list.

#### Tension The Weave Whisperer table shows how much Tension you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend an amount of Tension equal to the spell's level or higher, to a maximum of your Maximum Spell Level. Your Tension returns to its base level after you finish a long rest. For every hour that your Tension is above your base tension, it reduces by 1. You prepare the list of weave whisperer spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the weave whisperer spell list. When you do so, choose a number of weave whisperer spells equal to your Wisdom modifier + your weave whisperer level (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level equal to or below your Maximum Spell Level. For example, if you are a 3rd-level weave whisperer, you have a base tension of 2. With a Wisdom of 16, your list of prepared spells can include six spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination. If you prepare the 1st-level spell Magic Missile, you can cast it with either 1 or 2 Tension. Casting the spell doesn't remove it from your list of prepared spells. You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of weave whisperer spells requires time spent in meditation: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list. Whenever a feature you gain allows you to cast a spell with any spell slots you may have, you may cast them using your Tension instead. You may also choose to cast any spells you've prepared from this class with any spell slots you have from another class. #### Spellcasting Ability Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your weave whisperer spells. The power of your spells comes from your instinctual bond with the magical forces of reality. You use your Wisdom whenever a weave whisperer spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a weave whisperer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one. **Spell save DC** = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier **Spell attack modifier** = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier #### Ritual Casting You can cast a weave whisperer spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and you have the spell prepared. ### Arcane Absorption At second level, you learn how to catch arcane energy released into the weave during moments of strife, so as to release back into the world through spells. Whenever you take damage, note down the damage and divide it by 5 (rounding to either the nearest multiple 5, or zero), gaining Tension equal to the result, to a maximum of your Tension Maximum. Additionally, you learn an Arcane Absorption, a specialized technique that harnesses the magic released during specific moments. As you level up, you learn additional arcane absorptions as shown on the Absorptions Known columns of the Weave Whisperer table.

\page Whenever you gain a weave whisperer level, you can choose to replace an absorption you already knew with a new one, as you change your focus to an alternate technique. ### Magical Order At 3rd level, you choose to identify with an order of weave whisperers. Your choice grants you order spells and features at 3rd level and again at 7th, 11th, and 14th level. #### Order Spells Each order has a list of spells—its order spells—that you gain at the weave whisperer levels noted in the order description. Once you gain an order spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you have an order spell that doesn't appear on the weave whisperer spell list, the spell is nonetheless a weave whisperer spell for you. ### Ability Score Improvement When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. ### Heightened Cantrips Starting at 5th level, your cantrips find themselves to have greater ease manifesting their effects through the weave. When you deal damage with a Weave Whisperer cantrip, you can add your Wisdom modifier to the damage dealt. ### Arcane Sense At 6th level, your ability to sense the shifts and disturbances within the weave has granted you a supernatural sense. You are able to detect the presence of any magic within 30 feet of you. When you detected such magic, you are made aware of its location, as well as its school of magic if it has one. This sense can penetrate most barriers, but is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. ### Magical Awareness At 10th level, you learn to meditate upon the weave, heightening your senses so as to feel the slightest pull on it from a great distance. By spending 1 uninterrupted minute in concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), you can expend a point of Tension in order to sense the presence of magic. Each time you do so, select a school of magic. You can sense the presence of this school of magic within 3 miles of you. This feature reveals the spell level, and the magics general direction and distance (in miles) from you. If there are multiple sources of that type of magic within range, you learn this information for each source.

### Will of the Weave Starting at 13th level, your connection to the weave grows greater in power, so much so that the weave instinctively bends to protect your magic, whilst weakening its connection to those who would oppose you. Creatures have disadvantage on checks made to dispel your magic, such as by the _Counter Spell_ or _Dispel Magic_ spells. Additionally, when your magic encounters a feature that would cause it to cease functioning, such as a _Anti Magic Zone_, _Globe of Invulnerability_ or a creatures _Magic Resistance_ your spells still retain their effect. To cast a spell against an area or creature warded by such magic, you must make an ability check with your spell casting modifier with a DC of 10+ the spells level. If the affect originates from a creature, the DC is instead 10+ the creatures proficiency bonus ### Eyes of the Magus Upon reaching 17th level, your vision is completely linked with the weave, allowing you to see beyond what a normal creature can. You have True Sight up to 90 feet. ### Arcane Harmony At 20th level, upon reaching the apex of a Weave Whisperers power, you learn to focus your magic to return the weave and yourself to a state of equilibrium. You can spend a minute in meditation in order to return you Tension to its base level. Additionally, creatures within 10 feet of you regain up to 5 levels worth of spell slots, split between them as you wish. If you are above your base tension when you use this feature, you may restore additional levels worth of spell slots equal to the amount of Tension above your Base Tension you had.

## Arcane Orders Though the practice of Weave Whispering originated from a single group, the practice has split into a number of alternative factions. Some groups originated from group members splitting off the original order to form their own practices, whilst others formed naturally as groups created their own forms of weave whispering.

Additionally, you may adopt a fighting style from the Fighter class. ### Arcane Pulse At 3rd level upon entering this order, you gain the ability to channel a pulse of arcane energies through your weapon when you strike a creature. After you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend an amount of tension up to half your base tension in order to deal extra damage. This extra damage is 1d6 per tension expended. The damage type of this extra damage is Force. ### Extra Attack At 7th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. When you use your action to cast a cantrip, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action. ### Arcane Imbuement At 11th level, stress and energy within the weave flows through you and into your weapon, enhancing its potency. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you deal an additional amount of damage equal to half your current tension. While you have any tension, your weapon attacks count as magical for the sake of overcoming resistance and immunity ### Sword Mage's Dance Upon reaching 14th level, you master the art of intertwining the flow of magic with the flow of battle. When you use your action to cast a spell, you can make a weapon attack as a bonus action.

## Order Mysticus _While the changing of times may lead to knowledge shifting, expanding and altering, the past always exists in due to the efforts of those who aim to preserve in its true, original form._ _The Order Mysticus is the oldest of the Weave Whisperer orders, as it is the first, unaltered from the original practice from its inception. It aims to be what a Weave Whisperer is at its truest, an agent and ally of the forces of magic._ ##### Mysticus Spells | Weave Whisperer Levels | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 3 | Mage Armor, Magic Missile | | 3 | Flock of Familiars, Scorching Ray | | 6 | Lightning Bolt, Tongues | | 9 | Arcane Eye, Dimension Door | | 12 | Bigby's Hand, Creation | ### Arcane Force At third level, you better understand your connection towards magic, allowing you to harness it in its purest form. When you cast a Weave Whisperer spell that deals damage, you can change its damage type to force. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and must finish a long rest in order to do so again. ### Arcane Stance At third level, you learn how to align yourself within the weave in order to be able to make better use of particular schools of magic. At the end of a long rest, you align yourself with either Conjuration, Necromancy, Evocation, Abjuration, Transmutation, Divination, Enchantment or Illusion. You prepare an additional spell from that school from the wizard spell list. This spell counts as a Weave Whisperer spell for you. The spell must be of a level that you can cast and can’t be above 5th level. As you level up in this class, the number of spells you can prepare increases. 2 at 6th level, 3 at 9th, 4 at 12th and 5 at 15th. Additionally, you gain minor magical benefits depending on the school you are aligned with: - **Abjuration.** While concentrating on a spell, at the end of your turn you gain either a +2 to your AC against the next attack made against you or a +2 to your next saving throw. These benefits go away at the start of your next turn. - **Conjuration.** Upon casting a conjuration spell, you can immediately afterwards teleport 15 feet to a space you can see. - **Divination.** You have advantage on initiative rolls - **Enchantment.** If a creature would have advantage on a saving throw against an enchantment spell because you are fighting it, it instead rolls as normal. - **Evocation.** When you cast an evocation spell, you can choose a creature in its area of effect. That creature is unaffected by the spell. - **Illusion.** You learn the _Minor Illusion_ spell and can cast it with a bonus action as well as a regular action.

\page - **Necromancy.** When you take necrotic damage, you can reduce the damage by an amount equal to half your Weave Whisperer level - **Transmutation.** Your walk speed increases by 5 feet. Once you align yourself with a school of magic, you cannot change your aligned school again a week has passed . ### Enhanced Spell Casting At 7th level, you can better focus the channeling of magic to cause ripples that affect other creatures. Once per turn when a creature takes damage from a weave whisperer spell that you cast, you can harness this magic to cause one of the following effects: - A creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that you can see gains temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier - A creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that you can see takes force damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. ### Heightened Stance Beginning at 11th level, you can intertwine your focused school of magic with the latent tension within the weave. You gain one of the following abilities depending on your current focused school: - **Abjuration.** When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend tension and reduce the damage by 5 times the amount of tension spent. - **Conjuration.** When you cast a conjuration spell that summons a creature, you can expend tension to increase its hit points and hit point maximum. For each tension expended, the creature gains 3 additional hit points, and it gains an additional d6 hit die. - **Divination.** As a reaction when a creature rolls an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, you can expend tension to increase or decrease the number rolled by the amount of tension spent. - **Enchantment.** When a creature fails its saving throw against an enchantment spell you cast you can expend tension to increase the duration of the spell by a number of minutes equal to the tension spent. - **Evocation.** When you cast an evocation spell that deals damage, you can expend tension to heighten the effectiveness of the spell. For each tension expended, the spell deals an additional 1d4 damage of the spells damage type. - **Illusion.** When you cast an illusion spell, you can increase the size of the illusion by expending tension. For every tension expended, the size of the illusion increases by 10 feet. - **Necromancy.** When you cast a necromancy spell that creates an undead, you can expend tension to increase its hit points and hit point maximum. For each tension expended, the creature gains 3 additional hit points, and it gains an additional d6 hit die. - **Transmutation.** Once per long rest, you can expend tension to bolster a creature’s capacities. Chose an ability score of a creature you touch. For each 2 points of tension you spend, the ability score increases by 1 point, to a maximum of 20. Your maximum tension is reduced by an amount equal to double the tension you spent. The creature retains this benefit, and your tension maximum is reduced until you finish a long rest ### Masterful Stance Upon reaching 14th level, you master your arcane stance granting you a powerful boon depending on the school of magic you choose to focus upon. - **Abjuration.** When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. - **Conjuration.** When you cast a conjuration spell that summons a creature as an action, you can instead cast it using a bonus action. - **Divination.** When you cast a divination spell, you gain the benefits of true sight until the end of your next turn. - **Enchantment.** Any creature that succeeds its saving throw against an enchantment spell you cast must make the saving throw again 1 turn later, as if you had cast the spell again. It does this save with a bonus equal to its proficiency modifier. - **Evocation.** When you cast an evocation spell, it ignores cover. - **Illusion.** When you cast a weave whisperer illusion spell, you cast it without any somatic or verbal components. - **Necromancy.** You gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage. - **Transmutation.** You can use an action to transform into a CR 1/4 beast as if by the polymorph spell. This spell does not require concentration, and you can end it as an action.

\page ## Order Sanguis _The flow of blood and the flow of magic are intertwined forces through the multiverse. As a bonus action, you gain tension equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). After this, you expend a hit die, and reduce your hit point maximum by an amount equal to the number rolled. This reduction in your maximum hit points lasts until you finish a long rest. You may do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all uses at the end of a short rest. ### Heart Sense At 3rd level, you can focus your mind onto the weave in order to detect the faint presence of life echoing within it. As an action, you listen in for the faint echoes of life. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any creature within 30 feet of your that isn’t an undead or construct. You know the creature type of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity

Within the same radius, you know the location of the corpses of any creature that has been slain in the past week, that is not currently being affected by magic to hide its presence or animate it. You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Wisdom modifier. When you finish a long rest, you regain all expended uses. ### Sanguine Burst At 7th level, you can imbue your magics with dark power at the cost of your own lifeforce. Once per turn, when you deal damage to a creature with a spell, you can choose to deal additional damage, up to twice your Weave Whisperer level, of the spells damage type. After dealing this damage, you take necrotic damage equal to half the additional damage you dealt. This damage cannot be reduced by any means. ### Blood Walk At 11th level, you gain the power to dissolve yourself into a living mass of that which comprises all life. As an action, you and any equipment you are carrying dissolve into an oozing puddle of blood. While in this form, you use the statistics of a Slithering Tracker, however you retain your Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma scores, as well as any proficiencies you have. While in this form, you can use half your movement to enter a creature that is missing any of its hit points with a bloodstream. You remain inside of this creature, hidden inside of it, until you use movement to exit the creature. While inside of it, you are incapacitated, and have tremor sense to 30 feet. Should the creature die or be subjected to a lesser restoration spell aiming to remove you, you are expelled from it to an empty space within 5 feet of it. You can use an action while in this form, if you are in a space that allows it, to return into your normal form. Once you have used this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again. ### Dark Price Additionally at 11th level, you gain the ability to substitute the magical power of artifacts with that of life. When you cast a spell with a material component with a gold cost, you can instead choose to take necrotic damage equal to 1/10th the gold cost of the spell, rather than providing the material components. This damage cannot be reduced by any means. ### Enduring Life At 14th level, your lifeforce is so infused with magic that your body resists the temptations of the grave, pulling your life and limb to continue fighting. At the start of each of your turns, you regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don't gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points, nor if you have taken damage since the start of your previous turn.

\page ## Order Umbrus _The Weave isn't the only conduit for magic that exists within the multiverse. Between the gaps and spaces left unwatched by those who control the threads, those who would wish to create their own source of power find their foundation._ _While shattered and mostly forgotten from times past, a Shadow Weave exists in fragments, hidden behind the regular weave, imperceptible to most studiers of the arcane and unreachable for most who aim to wield it._ _Yet this magic still remains in use. Even more hidden circles of Weave Whisperers seek to understand and utilize it. Some to support their service to magic by understanding all aspects of it. Some instead in service to those dark forces which began its construction, awaiting their return to power._ ##### Umbrus Spells | Weave Whisperer Levels | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 3 | Dissonant Whispers, Silent Image | | 3 | Shadow Blade, Darkness | | 6 | Animate Dead, Summon Undead | | 9 | Charm Monster, Shadow of Moil | | 12 | Danse Macabre, Negative Energy Flood | ### Shadow Focus Beginning at 3rd level, you can focus your mind to alter your connection to source your magic from the Shadow Weave. At the end of a long rest, you can partake in a 1-hour ritual in order to sever your bound to normal magic and reconnect yourself instead to the shadow weave. Upon completing this ritual, you take 1d4 psychic damage, and are subject to an Indefinite Madness while connected to the shadow weave. You remain attuned to the shadow weave until you unfocus on it. While connected to the shadow weave, the tension cost to cast Enchantment, Illusion and Necromancy spells is reduced by 1 to a minimum of 1. However, Evocation and Transmutation spells have their cost increased by 1, with the exception of those that magically create darkness. You cannot cast spells that create light. Additionally, while connected to the shadow weave, when you are forced to make a saving throw against a spell from the Enchantment, Illusion or Necromancy schools, you can use your reaction to add your Wisdom modifier to the save. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain the ability to do so upon completing a long rest.

You can unfocus on the shadow weave by performing another 1-hour ritual at the end of a long rest. Upon completing it, you take 1d4 psychic damage. After which, you lose any Indefinite Madness you had from being attuned to it, and no longer gain its benefits. ### Eyes of Darkness Beginning at 3rd level, you can see in dim light and darkness for up to 60 feet as if it were bright light. ### Night Walker At 7th level, your being is imbued with the darkness of the shadow weave, enhancing your bond to darkness. While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on Darkvision to see you in that darkness. Additionally, whilst connected to the shadow weave, when you are in darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in darkness. ### Weave Severed At level 11, you learn how to sever the vestigial remnants of your connection to the normal weave. Whilst connected to the shadow weave, you cannot be targeted by any Divination magic or perceived through magical Scrying Sensors. Additionally, any spells you cast cannot be detected by a _Detect Magic_ spell or similar powers. ### Shadow Walk At 14th level, you can use your connection to the shadow weave, and by extension the plane shadow, to create temporary rifts to travel through. You create a magical link between a Large or larger shadow within 10 feet of you and another shadow, at any distance, on the same plane of existence. You must have seen or been within the destination shadow at least once before. Until the end of your next turn, any creature can step into the target shadow and exit from the destination shadow by using 5 feet of movement. You can use this feature once and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

\page ## Arcane Absorptions #### Agitation When you enter combat, you gain tension points equal to the number of hostile creatures with a higher initiative than you, up to a maximum of your proficiency bonus. When you are surprised at the beginning of combat, you gain tension equal to your proficiency bonus. #### Approaching Death. When you or an ally within 60 feet of you fall below a quarter of their hit point maximum for the first time in combat, you can gain a number of tension points equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this Absorption a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier and regain all uses at the end of a short rest. #### Arcane Storm When a hostile creature that you can see casts a spell which has a level higher than your proficiency bonus, you can use your reaction to gain an amount of tension equal to the spells level. #### Critical Force When an ally critically misses an attack against a hostile creature, you can use your reaction to gain tension points equal to their proficiency bonus. When a hostile creature critically hits with an attack against an ally, you can use your reaction to gain tension points equal to the creatures proficiency bonus. #### Evasion When you take the Dodge action, you gain a point of Tension for each attack that misses you and each saving throw you succeed on. These attacks or saving throws must be coming from a creature intending to kill or incapacitate you #### Grief When an ally within 60 feet of you goes unconscious, you gain 2 tension points. When an ally within 60 feet of you fails a death saving throw, you gain 3 tension points When an ally within 60 feet of you dies, you gain an amount of Tension equal to their character level, up to a maximum of your base tension level.

#### Great Wounds When you or an ally within 60 feet of you fall below half their hit point maximum for the first time in a fight, you gain a number of tension points equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this Absorption a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier and regain all uses at the end of a short rest. #### Legendary Might When a hostile creature uses a legendary action, you can use your reaction to gain 3 Tension points. When a hostile creature uses a legendary resistance, you can use your reaction to gain 6 Tension points. #### Raging Battle At the start of your turn in combat, you gain a tension point if you can see a hostile creature within 30 feet of you. #### Sympathy When an ally within 60 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to catch some of the magic released during this attack. You gain an amount of tension equal to 1/5th the damage they received (rounding to the nearest multiple 5). #### Futility When you or an ally fail a saving throw against a harmful effect, you can use your reaction to gain tension equal to half your proficiency bonus.
