# Oath of Radiance The Light brings life. The Light offers salvation. The Light does something else. The Light shall illuminate the world. Paladins who swear this oath believe the Light encompasses all that is good and that all darkness must be banished. *"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."* -John 1:5 #### Tenents of Radiance The tenets of radiance act as a guide paladins of this oath live by. **The Light Never Falters.** The sun rises over the horizon each day, without fail, spreading Light over the whole world. So should you always spread the Light. **The Light Shines.** Show others your Light; be a shining beacon of Light. **The Light Embraces.** Turn none away who seek the Light; accept all who wish to come unto the Light. #### Oath Spells You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed. ##### Oath of the Spellbreaker Spells | Paladin Level | Spells | |:-:|:-:| | 3rd | *absorb elements, faerie fire* | | 5th | *darkvision, moonbeam* | | 9th | *clairvoyance, daylight* | | 13th | *death ward, guardian of faith* | | 17th | *dawn, wall of light* | ``` ``` #### Channel Divinity When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. ***Inner Light***. As an action, you may use your Channel Divinity and your body begins shedding light. You create a 15 foot radius area of bright light eminating from you for 1 minute. This area of light cancels out any area of magical darkness that it overlaps with. Any invisible creature that enters the area must succeed at a Wisdom saving throw or become visiible. ***Radiant Shield***. Whenever a creature within 15 feet of you is the target of a melee attack, you can use your Channel Divinity as a reaction to teleport adjacent to the attacking creature in a flash of blinding light. That creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or become blinded by the flash before the attack is made. The creature remains blinded until the end of its next turn. #### Aura of Radiance Starting at 7th level, you and any friendly creature within 10 feet gain advantage on all Wisdom and death saving throws. At 18th level, the range of the light increases to 30 feet. #### The Light Reveals Beginning at 15th level, you are able to see in normal and magical darkness up to 120 feet. You can also perceive the original form of a shapechanger or a creature that is transformed by magic out to a distance of 30 feet.

\page #### Burning Light At 20th level, as an action, you can summon forth a small sun at a point within 60 feet that you can see. This sun gives off bright light in a 60-foot radius and dim light shines 60 feet beyond that. The sun lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it. During subsequent turns, you can use your action to cause the sun to fire rays of brilliant light at up to 4 targets within 120 feet. Make a ranged spell attack against the targets. This attack gains advantage if the target is within an area of bright light.
