\page ### Wandcasting As a student of Arcane Wandlore, you have a Magic Wand with which you can cast spells that show the first glimmerings of your true power. #### Cantrips At 1st level, you know four Cantrips of your choice from the Wandweaver spell list. You learn additional Wandweaver Cantrips of your choice at higher levels, as shown in the Cantrips Known column of the Wandweaver table. #### Magic Wand At 1st level, you have a Magic Wand which you use to focus your spells. If your wand is lost or broken you must make another using magical materials and appropriate wood by spending one hour during a long rest. As they grow in power and are able to cast higher level spells, many wandweavers improve their wands with exotic materials to help them perform more powerful magic. You may only be bonded to a single wand at a time. #### Casting Spells You know a single first level spell from the Wandweaver spell list. You may cast any Wandweaver spell you know at any time at its lowest level without expending spell slots. You cannot cast Wandweaver spells using spell slots or any other class's spellcasting or pact magic feature. When casting spells in this way, all spells have a verbal component (even those which would ordinarily not), and somantic components are performed with your wand. Material components (even those with gold costs) are not required. If you cast a spell that has a duration longer than 1 action, casting it again before the duration of the original casting is over causes the original casting of the spell to end. Additionally, due to the restrictive nature of armour, you may not cast Wandweaver spells while wearing a shield, or medium or heavy armour. #### Spellcasting Ability Intelligence is your Spellcasting Ability for your Wandweaver Spells, since you learn your Spells through dedicated study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your Spellcasting Ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Wandweaver spell you cast and when Making an Attack roll with one. - Spell save DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Intelligence modifier - Spell Attack modifier = your Proficiency Bonus + your Intelligence modifier #### Spellcasting Focus Your Wand is your Spellcasting focus for your Wandweaver Spells. No other focus may be used. #### Learning Spells of 1st level and Higher At 3rd level and then again at 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th and 19th levels you learn an additional Wandweaver spell. Each of these Spells must be of a level which you can learn, as shown on the Wandweaver table. Additionally, whenever you gain a level in this class, you may choose to replace one Wandweaver spell you know with another which you are able to cast. ``` ``` ### Animal Companion Wandweavers are capable of bonding themselves to an animal companion. You know the *Find Familiar* spell, and it counts as a wandweaver spell for you. When you cast *Find Familiar*, it may take the form of a Cat, a Toad, an Owl, or a rat. The maximum hit points of the Familiar you summon are increased by an amount equal to your wandweaver level. If you cast a spell with range: self, you may choose for that spell to also affect your Animal Companion. ### Broomstick Flight From 2nd level, when you mount a broomstick, you gain a fly speed of 20ft. You may construct a faster broom using rare woods and by imbuing it with more powerful magic. Constructing such a broom takes an hour for each 10ft. of fly speed it grants you, up to a maximum of 10ft. times your proficiency bonus. As the broomstick responds to your innate magic, no other creatures can use your broomsticks to fly. ___ The broom requires at least one hand to fly; if you release the broomstick with both hands, you must instantly make a DC 10 dexterity check or fall off, potentially disrupting the action during which you removed your hands from the broom. You must repeat this check each round at the beginning of your turn if you manage to stay on the broomstick and don't grab it with at least one hand. ### Incanter's Focus At 3rd level, whenever you cast one of your Wandweaver cantrips which deals damage, you may add your proficiency bonus in damage to one of the damage rolls. Additionally, targets of your damage-dealing cantrips with a saving throw to avoid taking damage instead take half as much damage on a successful save. ### Magical Expertise Choose a Magical Expertise, which describes the magical subject you are most heavily focused in, all detailed at the end of the class description. Your choice grants you features when you choose it at 3rd level and again at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 18th levels. ### Protego When you reach 4th level, you learn the *Shield* spell. This spell counts as a Wandweaver spell for you. ### Spell Surge Starting at 5th level, you are able to push your spellcasting beyond its normal limits for a moment. On your turn, you are able to cast an additional spell with casting time one action in addition to your regular action, and a possible bonus action. ___ Once you use this feature, you must finish a Short or Long Rest before you can use it again. At 20th level, you can use it twice before a rest, but only once on the same turn. \page ### Expelliarmus At 6th level, you learn a charm to disarm opponents. As an action, you may choose a creature within 60ft. that is wielding a weapon or holding another object. A jet of red light streaks towards that creature from your wand, and that creature must make a dexterity saving throw opposed by your spell save DC. If you are hidden from the creature, it makes that save at disadvantage. If the creature fails, it is disarmed. ___ If you have a free hand, you may then make a dexterity check with a DC equal to half the distance between you and the target, and if you succeed you catch the object. If you fail, it lands on the ground in a random position within 30ft. of you. ### Minor Disapparation When you reach 6th level, you learn the basics of Disapparation. You learn the *Misty Step* spell. It counts as a wandweaver spell for you. ### Nonverbal Spell From 9th level, you may cast your spells without the verbal component. The highest level spell that you are able to cast without its verbal component is detailed on the Wandweaver table. You still require your wand and any other components when casting spells this way. ### Disapparation By 10th level, your Disapparation skills have grown in scope. You learn the *Dimension Door* spell. It counts as a Wandweaver spell for you, however you may not bring any other creatures with you when you teleport. ### Magical Aging The magic in your blood allows you to delay the effects of aging. From 14th level you are immune to the effects of aging (but can still die from old age), you age twice as slowly as a standard member of your race, and you are immune to nonmagical diseases. ### Wandless Magic Your magic is honed and much stronger, making you capable of casting spells without a wand. At 14th level, you may choose a number of spells you know equal to half your intelligence modifier (rounded down). You may cast these spells, as well as all of your cantrips without a wand. You may do this a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier. You regain uses of this ability after a long rest. You may cast these spells nonverbally if they are of of a level you are able to cast nonverbally. ___ When you reach level 18, you regain use of this ability after a short rest. ### Greater Disapparation By 17th level, you have fully realized the ability to disapparate. You learn the *Teleport* spell which counts as a wandweaver spell for you. You may only bring one other willing individual when you *Teleport*. ``` ``` ## Magical Expertise At 3rd level you choose a Magical Expertise from the options presented below. ### Transfiguration A Transfigurer is an expert at turning one thing into another. Transfiguration is practiced ordinarily by the most academic Wandweavers and is notorious for its difficulty. Expert transfigurers are capable of powerful feats of magic. #### Academic Aptitude As a student of Transfiguration, you are adept at the study of magic. You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you are already proficient in Arcana, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any checks you make with this skill. #### Minor Transfiguration With a wave of your Wand and a tap you are able to transfigure small objects. You may turn any object no longer than 5ft. on any side into another object of similar value and shape. You may only create copies of objects if you are familiar with them. #### Animagus Your talents in transfiguration have given you the ability to transform into an animal. At 7th level, chooose one beast of CR 1 or lower. You are able to transform into this beast as an action, retaining both your hit points and mental statistics. Otherwise your statistics change to match that of the beast you transform into. Any equipment you are holding or carrying is transformed with you into your new form. Your beast form may have some aspect that matches your normal form; markings resembling spectacles, extra long chin hair to resemble a beard etc. You may not use any other class features or cast spells while transformed. #### Expert Transfigurer You are now adept at transfiguration, exceeding your peers in skill and power both to transfigure your own body, and even seemingly immutable aspects of the world around you. At 11th level, you learn the *Alter Self*, *Guardian of Nature* and *Stone Shape* spells, which count as wandweaver spells for you. #### Major Transfiguration From 15th level, the duration of all of your transmutation spells is doubled. #### Transfiguration Master You are a transfiguration master. At 18th level your knowledge is sufficient to transfigure a creature into any other. You learn the *Polymorph* spell, which counts as a wandweaver spell for you. However you are also able to transfigure Objects into Creatures, and Creatures into Objects, as if by the *True Polymorph* spell. ### Potions Potions Experts tend to eschew Wand magic in favour of the slower, subtler art of brewing various draughts and concoctions. Potions can accomplish magic which is beyond that of normal Wandweaving, though it can be time-consuming and complicated. \page #### Expert Brewer You gain proficiency with both Brewing Supplies and Herbalism Kit when you choose this Magical Expertise. When you create healing potions, each potion costs you 5GP and requires only 2 hours. #### Create Potion By using your Brewing Supplies, and ingredients of a value dictated by the specific potion, you are able to brew potions. Each potion has a single serving. Below is a list of the potions available to you, as well as the cost of the ingredients and the brewing time. Potions may be brewed during long rests, but must be attended constantly during the brewing process. - **Replicate Spell. (No cost. 1 hour.)** Choose any of the spells you know which targets a single creature. This potion replicates the effect of this spell on the creature that drinks it. - **Draught of Peace. (No cost. 1 hour.)** Drinking this potion suppresses any effect causing its imbiber to be charmed or frightened for one hour. - **Oculary Ointment (No cost. 1 hour.)** Drinking this potion bestows the drinker with 1 hour of darkvision with a range of 120ft. - **Sleeping Potion (No cost. 1 hour.)** Drinking this potion causes the effect of the Sleep spell to its drinker, as if cast at a level equal to the highest level spell you can cast. - **Potion of Climbing (5GP. 2 hours.)** A potion of Climbing as described in the DMG. If you carry a number of homebrewed potions greater than your proficiency bonus and you cast a spell other than a cantrip, you must roll on the Wild Magic table to see what effect occurs. Your potions retain potency for up to 24 hours; when drunk after this, they have no effect. #### Advanced Potion Making By 7th level, you gain the ability to make more advanced potions. The following potions are added to the list of potions you can brew. Additionally, choose one type of potion. You are well-versed in the brewing of this potion, and carry an un-finished version with you at all times. Once per long rest you are able to put the final ingredient into your flask, brewing that potion instantly. - **Polyjuice Potion. (No cost (also requires a body part of the creature you want to turn into). 24 hours.)** Drinking this potion makes the drinker transform into the person whose bodypart (hair, skin, etc.) has been used to brew it, for one hour, as if by the Alter Self spell. - **Draught of Living Death. (No cost. 2 hours.)** This potion confers the effects of the Feign Death spell to its drinker. - **Amortentia. (5GP. 2 hours.)** This powerful love potion creates feelings of infatuation. The creature that drinks it is charmed by its brewer for 24 hours, and feels strong feelings of infatuation towards them. - **Felix Felicis. (100GP. 24 hours.)** Drinking this potion results of feelings of confidence, certainty and euphoria for one hour. Its drinker may cast the Augury spell with casting time of one bonus action. Additionally, if they fail an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, they may choose to re-roll it. Once they have done this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, the potion wears off. - **Uncommon Potion. (50GP. 12 hours.)** You brew any common or Uncommon potion from the DMG. #### Concentrated Draughts At 11th level, your potions now contain two servings instead of one. Additionally, for a material cost of 100GP and a brewing time of 24 hours, you may brew any Rare or Very Rare potion. #### Expedient Brewing From 15th level, the time taken for you to brew your potions is halved. #### Potion Master By 18th level, you are a master of brewing potions. Choose one spell from the Wizard spell list up to 9th level which does not deal damage with a range of self, or which targets a single creature. You invent a potion which mimics that spell when drunk. It has the same material costs as the spell, and takes a number of hours to brew equal to its spell level, and when brewed it contains only a single serving. ### Dark Arts A practitioner of the Dark Arts uses their magic primarily to harm others and gain power over the non-magical. Their spells are often cruel and require strength of character and a certain unpleasantness to use to their full effect. Despite this, practitioners of the Dark Arts are capable of great things; terrible, but great. #### Dark Deceiver When you choose this Magical Expertise, you gain proficiency in the deception and intimidation skills. #### Sectumsempra At 3rd level when you choose this Magical Expertise, you gain the ability to use your wand as a deadly weapon. As an action, you may cast *Sectumsempra*, a powerful curse which lacerates and slashes at opponent. Waving your wand in mimicry of a sword, make a ranged spell attack roll against one creature you can see within 30ft. of you. If it hits, you deal 3d6 plus your intelligence modifier in force damage. This damage increases by 1d6 for each odd level you gain in this class up to a maximum of 10d6. ___ This curse causes wounds which continue to bleed and After being affected by this feature, on its next turn, a creature must roll a constitution saving throw against your Spell save DC. If it fails it takes additional damage equal to a number of d6 two less than your initial damage roll for this feature. Each turn the creature must repeat this saving throw, taking additional damage, each time rolling 2d6 less. This repeats until the amount of dice rolled for damage would be fewer than 1. \page #### Inferi At 7th level, you can create inferi, undead servants. You learn the spell *Animate Dead*, which counts as a Wandweaver Spell for you. You can control up to 4 inferi at a given time. #### Imperius Curse When you reach 11th level, you learn the spell *Dominate Person*. It counts as a Wandweaver spell for you. If a creature succeeds on its saving throw against this spell, it becomes immune to you casting it for 24 hours. #### Horcrux At 15th level, any time after you kill a humanoid creature, you may choose to create a Horcrux using a tiny object in your posession. The Horcrux has an AC of 20, and 100 hit points, and resistance to nonmagical Blugeoning, Piercing and Slashing damage, and you may only have a single one at a time. The Horcrux contains a part of your soul, and while it exists, when you die, your soul becomes an incorporeal spirit on the plane you are on. ___ While in this form, you may possess a willing individual, gaining control of their body if they are willing. For each month a creature is possessed like this, its hit point maximum is reduced by 1 until it is unpossessed. Once a creatre has been unpossessed you may no longer possess it. ___ You may construct a substitute permanent body through a process identical to the *Clone* spell. By passing through the vessel in your incorporeal form you are able to transfer your soul to the clone. If you construct a Horcrux at any point, when you die without any horcruxes, your soul is trapped in an inaccessible demi-plane, and cannot be brought back by any means other than a Wish spell to determine the location of the demi-plane. #### Avada Kedavra From 18th level, you are able to cast the killing curse, sending a streaking green flash of light at the target. You learn the *Power Word: Kill* spell. it counts as a wandweaver spell for you. Any creature you target with this spell may make a dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC in order to avoid its effects. ### Charms Charms experts are masters in the craft of magic itself. Ability in Charms requires crativity as well as intelligence and magical aptitude. #### Beautiful Wandwork Your skill in Charms involves invoking impressive, serene or otherwise aesthetic magic. You gain proficiency in the performance skill. When you make a performance using one of your spells, your proficiency bonus is doubled for that performance check. #### Greater Prestidigitation You learn the *Prestidigitation* cantrip if you did not know it already. Additionally, when you cast this cantrip, you may have up to five of its effects active at any one time, and the effects last for up to 8 hours. ``` ``` #### Countercharm Starting at 7th level, your knowledge of magic allows you to counter the effects of spells. When you succeed on the saving throw against a spell, make an intelligence check against the spellcaster's spell save DC. If you succeed, you are able to cast a countercharm and completely nullify the effects of the spell for all creatures affected by it. ___ You may use this ability once. You regain use of this ability when you take a short rest. #### Animating Conductor At 11th level, your knowledge in charms is sufficient to let you enchant objects to do your bidding. You learn the *Animate Objects* spell, which counts as a wandweaver spell for you. Initially, you may animate only two objects with this spell, however you may animate an additional object for each level you gain in this class after 11th. #### Improved Countercharm From 15th level, your skill as a wandweaver is sufficient that you can attempt to counter a myriad of magical effects. If you are subject to a saving throw against a magical effect, you may make an intelligence check against the effect's save DC. If you succeed, you produce a countercharm which completely nullifies the effect for all creatures affected by it. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you have taken a Short or Long Rest. #### Magical Pinnacle At 18th level, you are able to draw on reserves of magic deep within yourself, to create varied and powerful magical effects. Using your wand, you are able to replicate the effect of one spell that is 8th level or lower and has a casting time of 1 action. The spell can be from any class’s spell list, and you don’t need to meet the requirements in that spell, including costly components; the spell simply takes effect as part of this action. If you do not possess your wand, the spell may only be 4th level or lower. ___ Once you have used this feature, you may not use it again until you have completed a long rest. ### Care of Magical Creatures Care of Magical Creatures experts possess the knowledge, skill, and tenacity to track down and care for even the most dangerous of magical beasts and monstrosities. They're often seen with deep scars and missing limbs. #### Tracking and Rearing You are an expert in both raising magical creatures, and identifying and following them in all manner of environments. You gain proficiency in the animal handling skill. Additionally, whenever you make a perception, investigation, or survival check to find, discern, or follow tracks left by a beast, monstrosity, elemental, or fey, you are considered proficient in the relevant skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus. \page #### Magical Animal Companion Your skill at handling animals and magical creatures has allowed you to befriend animals other than the simple beasts outlined in the *Find Familiar* spell. From 3rd level, when you cast *Find Familiar* the creature summoned may be any beast or monstrosity which cannot comprehend a language with a challenge rating as high as your Wandweaver level divided by 3, rounded down. #### Scrutinise From 7th level, you are able to use your knowledge to discern details about creatures. As a bonus action, you are able to quickly assess a creature's strengths and weaknesses. Make an investigation check with a DC of 5 plus the creature's challenge rating. For each number you succeed the DC by, the DM tells you whether the creature is your equal, superior, or inferior in regard to an additional one of the following characteristics: - Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores - Armor Class - Current hit points - Resistances, vulnerabilities and Immunities - Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throw bonuses #### Call for Aid At 11th level, you are able to call on creatures to assist you. You learn the *Summon Beast*, *Conjure Animals*, *Conjure Woodland Beings*, and *Conjure Minor Elementals* spells, which become Wandweaver spells for you. #### Dragon Tamer By 15th level, your knowledge of magical creatures has expanded to the point where you are capable of taming even dragons. When you cast *Find Familiar*, the creature you summon may have the Dragon creature type and any draconic creature you summon *may* have a language listed in its game statistics, however, it is incapable of speech, though you may communicate with it normally as outlined in the description of *Find Familiar*. #### Magizoologist's Menagerie At 18th level, your affinity to magical creatures manifests in a diverse menagerie of creatures willing to aid you. You learn the *Conjure Celestial*, *Conjure Elemental*, *Conjure Fey*, *Summon Aberration*, *Summon Celestial*, *Summon Draconic Spirit*, *Summon Elemental*, *Summon Fey*, and *Find Greater Steed* spells. These spells count as Wandweaver spells for you. ___ You may cast one of these spells, or one of the spells you gained from the Call for Aid feature, upcast to 9th level. When you do this, in addition to any additional effects stated in the spell, if the creature or creatures summoned would vanish after the spell ends, they instead remain indefinitely beyond the duration of the spell; until they are killed, or until the next time you cast any of the above spells.
