\page # Introduction ##### A Bizarre Adventure Awaits You! *Jojo's Bizarre Adventure* is an episodic telling of the adventures of the Joestar bloodline. Throughout the series, many mystical powers appear, from the breathing technique of Hamon to the mysterious and powerful Spin to straight-up literal magic. However, no ability is more useful, more interesting, or more creative than the **Stand** and the crazy powers that come with it. This system came into being after attempting to integrate Stand powers into another popular tabletop RPG, *Dungeons & Dragons*, specifically the 5th edition. Unfortunately, the system was unable to fully explore the possibilities and limits of a Stand-based roleplaying game. For those of you unfamiliar with *Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (JJBA)*, allow me to briefly explain the setting and general tone of the series before moving on to the rules and mechanics. At its heart, *JJBA* is a series about heavily-muscled geniuses using their superpowers to outsmart and overpower clever and evil villains. Many parts of the series have a sort of saturday morning cartoon feel, with a villain of the week coming in to mess with the party, but all with a grand over-arching villain and plot to tie the part together. This series is set in a mostly modern-day time with very minute changes to the way the world works. For instance, magic is real, but there are no wizards or warlocks. "Magic" in *JJBA* is much more akin to fortune-telling, and the idea of **Fate** is incredibly important. Throughout the series it is said that Stand Users are drawn together by this Fate. Even those Stand Users who would rather be left alone draw others of their kind to them necessarily. This idea of Fate will serve you well as a Story Master in this system. The appeal of the series comes when the characters use their ridiculous abilities in interesting and creative ways to overcome odds heavily stacked against them, and these creative, inventive, and versatile abilities are what I have worked so hard to emulate in this tabletop rpg system. If any of that sounds interesting to you, I highly recommend the *JJBA* series, as the storytelling, artwork, character design, and inventive power system truly makes it a masterwork manga. The series will help you better visualize and understand the abilities of Stands and what you should be gunning for in creating your own campaign, characters, and Stands. However, you WILL notice differences, both minute and vast, in the way Stands work in this system as opposed to the *JJBA* series. I have attempted to remain as faithful as possible with this system, but it must be understood that there are some things in the original series that simply cannot be added in for balance reasons, simplification, and general playability. For instance, I am very aware that there is in episode in *JJBA's Part 3: Stardust Crusaders* in which they are able to shrink their Stands down to a nearly microscopic size. I refuse to put this mechanic in for two reasons: first of all, it is game-breakingly difficult to implement without allowing for the classic "make the tiny thing grow in your stomach so you explode" technique amongst other shenanigans, and secondly, this ability is never showcased again throughout the entire series. Finally, please note that this system was entirely made by 5 people, one of whom did the writing and mechanic drafting, and the other four provided invaluable insight, balance assistance, fresh ideas, and playtesting. As such, be aware there may be typos, inconsistencies, and other errors for the time being in this document, as this system is still being tested and built upon. \page # Rules of Play ## Stand Basics When you obtain a Stand, your willpower and fighting spirit manifests itself as a spiritual entity with supernatural abilities. Some Stands are powerful warriors, fighting with swift sword strikes or forceful punches. Others are naturally meeker, and avoid direct confrontation, relying more heavily on their special abilites to defeat enemies of their user. Some Stands even have minds of their own, and can speak languages and act on their own whims. Stands will not disobey their user unless they have a strong enough personality that makes them fully autonomous. Note that while the following paragraphs apply to most Stands, they do not apply to all forms and sizes Stands, and sometimes a Stand will have a special condition needed in order to use its ability or be summoned. **Specifics about a particular Stand always override these general facts about Stands.** Each Stand is unique, though some Stands may be similar in abilities. You will create and customize your Stand by choosing abilites and stats for it, which your GM will approve and help you balance. Most Stands can be seen only by other Stand users, with the notable exception being Bound Stands. To anything without one, your Stand is invisible, but not the effects of its abilities or attacks, such as a gash cut into a brick wall or a foot-sized crater in a sidewalk. Stands can only be hurt by other Stands and intense amounts of energy, such as a fire, explosion, lightning or electricity, or magic, and are unable to interact with the world physically unless they specifically target something, such as an object or character. However, Stands have no health pool as they are spiritually linked to their user. Any damage, injury, or condition the Stand is subjected to, the user will be as well. To summon your Stand, your character must meet the Stand's Summoning Requirements. The average Stand only has two requirements: that your character expends an action and that your character yells the name of your Stand aloud. When your Stand is summoned, it appears in an unoccupied space within 1 meter of you. You must have your Stand summoned to use its abilities or have it defend you. If your character gains the ***Injured*** condition, your Stand is instantly unsummoned. Otherwise, your Stand must be within 1 meter of you to be unsummoned, which you can do as an action on your turn in combat. Resummoning your Stand is also an action, and its name must be yelled again. Some Stands have special summoning requirements, such as needing to inflict a status condition on a target or needing to be actively smoking a cigarette to summon your Stand. This can be used as a great way to balance a powerful Stand! Stands are always given a name when a user discovers its powers. This name is traditionally a musical reference. Most often Stands are named after bands, musicians, albums, or songs, and yours should be as well. Finally, your Stand takes on an appearance that you choose from the list of Stand forms, along with a size. These determine many capabilities and unique bonuses your Stand may have, including how swiftly it can move and how hard it hits. Note that while these forms and sizes may seem concrete, they are more to balance and tie stats and other gameplay mechanics than to define precisely the way your Stand looks, so feel free to take liberties in order to set your Stand up in a flavorful and interesting way. ### Summary of Stand Notes - **Stands have no health point total.** If they would take damage, the user instead take the damage. Similarly, if your Stand would be subject to a condition, such as being Restrained, the user is also affeted by this condition. However, a Stand User can be subject to a condition that a Stand is not affected by. - **Stands may be unsummoned or resummoned with an action**, and must be within a meter of the user to do so. - **A Stand moves relatively to their User.** No matter if the Stand User is falling from a plane or riding on a train, the Stand will not move in relation to the User unless moved by the User. If another Stand forcibly moves yours, your character is forcibly moved the same distance in the same direction! - **A Stand can move within its effective range, but is subject to the same gravitational forces that its User is.** Your Stand can hover about half a meter above the lowest point on your body, and it cannot fly. If a Stand wanted to get up a wall, it would need to climb or jump it, it cannot simply fly over it. - **To have your Stand take actions, quacks, or macks, you must expend your own.** Macks have a special additional rule, wherein the Stand and User may move simultaneously as part of one special Mack called a *Tether Mack*. - **If a Stand user is knocked unconsious, their Stand is instantly unsummoned.** Additionally, all of the effects from its ability are cancelled. This also happens if a Stand User were to gain the ***Injured*** condition due to be knocked to or under 0 health points.

\page ## Rolling The official die of Jojo's Bizarre Roleplaying Game is the **d10**. Rolling a 1 on your d10 is **not** an instant failure. It sucks, but you may still accomplish a task which you are highly skilled in. However, if you roll a 10 on any roll besides a Fate Die roll, you may **roll your d10 again** and add the new roll **-1** to your previous roll. To illustrate, imagine you must roll an Evasion skill check. Your Physique score is 7, and your Evasion skill bonus is +3. You roll your d10 and you roll a 10! Congratulations! You get to roll that sucker again! You do so, and ***BOOM!*** ANOTHER 10! LUCKYYYY~! Now, this second 10 has 1 subtracted from it, making it a 9, however, adding that to your previous total of 10 means you effectively rolled a **19**, and this is before you add your Evasion skill bonus and your Physique score! In total, with your 7 in Physique and your +3 in Evasion, you have gotten a total on your Evasion roll of **29!** Every time you roll a die in *JJBRPG*, you will be rolling a d10. Most of the rolls during combat in this game are ***contests***, where two characters or Stands make stat or skill rolls and the highest total wins, with the defender winning on ties. Outside of combat, most rolls characters would be making would be ***skill checks***. When a character makes a skill check, they attempt to roll an equal or higher number than the difficulty rating of that check. Skill checks are rolls where you add a base character stat and a specific skill's bonus to a roll. If your Story Master tells you to roll Medicine, for instance, you would roll a d10 and add your Medicine bonus AND your Knowledge score, since Medicine is a Knowledge-based skill. Stands, however, have no skills. They only have **raw stats**. If your SM tells you to roll Power ("Make a Stand Power roll" or something like this), you roll a d10 and add the **modifier** for your Stand's Power stat. For instance, if your Stand has a Power of 8 and you rolled an 8 on your d10 roll, you would add a 13 (your Stand's POW modifier) to your roll of 8 to get a total of 21. Let's imagine two scenarios in which the players are looking for something. In one case, they're looking for a hidden door, so I might ask a few of the players to roll me a Perception skill check. They roll a d10 and add whatever bonuses or negatives their Perception skill might provide and their Vigilance scores. Now, this hidden door is hiding under a rug, completely out of sight. I might say it would be difficult to spot, and might set the difficulty rating at a decently challenging 17. If the room was darker, I might crank it up to a 19 or 20. If a player rolls a total of 17 or higher with all their bonuses, they spot the secret door. Alternatively, if these players were searching for a hidden enemy, they would not be rolling a skill check but a contested roll. The players would roll Perception against the hidden enemy's Stealth, with the higher total winning out. When you think a character should have a bonus or issue with a specific check or roll, feel free to impose a positive or negative modifier on the difficulty rating or opposing roll. As the Story Master, try not to impose negative or positive modifiers on the player's rolls, instead modify the numbers you set or roll. ``` ``` > ##### *Story Master Tip:* > ##### Difficulty of Skill Checks > Generally it's up to the Story Master to decide how difficult a specific skill check should be, but here is a little guide that I tend to use myself. Make the number required to pass a bit lower for any advantages the character may have such as previous knowledge to build on or devoting extra time or attention to a task, and make the number a bit higher if the character has little time or experience. > > Simple Task: *Pass on 10+* > > Average-Difficulty Task: *Pass on 15+* > > Adept/Challenging Task: *Pass on 20+* > > Very Difficult/Expert-Level Task: *Pass on 25+* > > Extreme/Impossible Task: *Pass on 30+* > ##### *Story Master Tip:* > ##### Multiple Rolls for One Check > Sometimes, you need someone to roll a Perception skill check and everyone else wants to join in, but that just gives them four chances to get it right! Instead, I've set up two systems that you can choose to use, or continue allowing them all to roll! > > Option 1 is to average them all out and compare it to the difficulty rating of the challenge. This is simple and effective but may require a calculator and extra time for larger groups. > > Option 2 is to multiply the difficulty rating for the skill check by the number of players rolling, and simply add their skill check totals together. If it beats the new difficulty rating, they succeed on the challenge through teamwork. > ##### Rolls vs Skill Checks >A lot of times, while writing this lengthy document, I have changed terminologies or forgotten where certain things are written. Often, I will refer to skill checks simply as rolls, such as a Medicine roll. Be aware that any roll using a character's skill is considered a skill check.

\page ## Actions There are three distinct types of actions in this tabletop game. The first are called **Actions**, the most useful and versatile of your options. The second are quick-actions, shortened to **Quacks** for ease. These are more limited in uses, but can be used during other character's turns, opening them up as reactive devices. Finally, movement actions are called **Macks**, and can be used to move your character and Stand around your environment on your turn. ### Actions (Standard Actions) **Actions can only be taken on your turn during a round.** They can be used to do just about anything your character could feasibly do. You can even expend it to move, as if it was an extra Mack! You have only one action, which you regain at the start of each round of combat. Though if your Stand is agile enough it can make attacks with a Quack, it is much less efficient to do so, as you incur a penalty to your attack roll when attacking with a Quack. As such, using your Stand's ability or attacking are the most common uses of your action. An action can also be held, and used later on in the round. To do this, on your turn you must declare that you will hold your action. Doing so means you are unable to use your action until you trigger it by expending a Quack. After declaring that you are holding your action, play continues to pass down the initiative order. Whenever you would like to use this **Held action**, you may trigger it by using the Trigger Held Action Quack. This allows you to take any action as a Quack. If you do not use your held action before the current round ends, you lose your held action and may not use the Trigger Held Action Quack until you hold your action once more. Similar to this held action is the **Help action**, which allows you to assist in an ally's plans. To do this, choose an ally to help. When they take their next action, and if they make a non-Fate Die roll, you may make a skill or Stand roll in an effort to assist them. Use the higher of the two rolls for the skill check or contest. Remember that when doing this, you must do two things: Firstly, you must explain how exactly your character or Stand is assisting in the action. Secondly, you must be within a reasonable distance where your help would be effective. If you fail to meet either of these requirements, you cannot take the help action, though you may take your Action as soon as the character you attempted to help is finished with their turn. A few examples of things you could do with an action include attacking, summoning a Stand, throwing a lasso, attempting to operate heavy machinery, or any other action that would require deliberate thought or attention. ``` ``` ### Macks (Movement Actions) Macks can be used far more frequently than actions. For starters, you have **3 Macks** which restore at the beginning of each round. There are two times when you are allowed to expend a Mack. The most basic, however, can only be used on your turn. **You can expend a Mack to reposition yourself or your Stand.** Macks move your character and your character's Stand a different distance. Your Stand's movespeed depends on its Agility score and its Stand form, but a character's movespeed is a flat **5m per Mack**. However, if you want to move both yourself and your Stand with the same Mack, you can. This special Mack is called a **Tether Mack**. To do this, your character and their Stand must be within 5 meters of each other and you must expend a Mack. You may then move both your character and your Stand in the same direction. You both move the same distance, either your Stand movespeed or your character movespeed, whichever is lower. Alternatively, if it is not your turn, but your character or your character's Stand is attacked, **you may use a Mack to make a Dodge roll.** This is done in reaction to the attack and occurs immediately after it, with no Quacks being able to be taken in between them. Additionally, expending a Mack to dodge allows you to move up to a single meter in any direction. For characters, a dodge roll is an Evasion skill check, and for Stands it's an Agility roll plus any modifiers pertaining to dodging. While Macks used to dodge attacks cannot be interrupted by Quacks, Quacks *can* interrupt Macks used solely for movement. If a Quack occurs in the middle of someone moving as part of a Mack, the Mack only concludes and movement is finished (if possible) after the Quack is resolved. ### Quacks (Quick-Actions) Quacks are the most interesting action type. They can be used at **any time**, but only has a limited number of specific uses. You can unlock new uses for your Quacks through special Stand features and sometimes even PP upgrades! Every character has **3 Quacks**, which restore at the beginning of each round of combat. Additionally, Quacks are based entirely on instict and reaction, and as such you are not allowed to 'undo' or 'retcon' Quacks. Once you declare yourself to be using a Quack, you MUST act immedietly and are unable to change your mind or reconsider based on what the effects may be. Quacks generally can be thought of as to occur concurrently with any action or Quack they respond to (as dictated by the Story Master). When using the Brace or Deflect Quacks, it obviously happens before the attack hits, otherwise there would be no contest! However, if you were being attacked and expended your last Quack to make an attack and try to end your attacker before they got you, this would require something called a **QQC Roll**.

\page QQC stands for **Quack Quickness Contest**. Basically, whenever ordering is very important for Quacks, such as attempting to react to a friend being attacked and using a Quack to shove them out of the way, or the previously mentioned quickdraw showdown, all those attempting to make Quacks during this time roll a d10 and all their QQC bonus, which is the special bonus mechanic the character stat Subtlety grants. **The QQC Roll Bonus that Subtlety grants is the only bonus you add to QQC rolls.** The character who rolled the highest has their Quack's effects trigger first. If the other character's Quack is still possible to take, then it triggers immediately after, in order from highest QQC roll to lowest if there are more than two contestants. On ties, roll again. The following are the basic Quacks available, as well as a small description and some limits to each. ##### Quick Thinking (*Character*) *When you declare this, choose a skill and explain how you would like to use it to the Story Master.* This allows you to instantly make a skill check, such as to attempt to find a hiding enemy, to use a bizarre item, or to shrug off certain effects. ##### Brace (*Character*) When you use this Quack to have your character brace against an attack, you must expend any remaining Macks you may have. Roll an Endurance skill check. The total from this roll is your guard total. If this number is higher than the natural armor class granted by your Physique score, it replaces your armor class for the round. This means any attack made against you this round must beat your guard total to hit. Even if an attack hits, your guard may be good enough to negate some of the damage. If an attack hits, the maximum amount of damage it can do is equal to the difference between their attack roll and your guard total. For example, if you roll a 15 for your guard total and the attack against you is a 17, they can only do a maximum of 2 damage, even if they would normally do 3 or 4. Be careful! If a Stand has the feature *Stand Rush*, any added bonus damage will go through fully! ##### Brace (*Stand*) If you expend a Quack to make your Stand brace against an attack, roll Power and add any modifiers you may gain from your Stand's form, size, and/or features. The total from this roll is your Stand's guard total. If your Stand's guard total is greater than or equal to the attack roll made against it, no damage is dealt. In the same way that the *Brace* Quack works for characters, if the attack roll's total is greater than your Stand's guard total but the difference between these rolls is less than the attacker's maximum damage, you may end up taking less damage! The math works exactly the same as with characters, including how it interacts with the *Stand Rush* feature. When a Stand uses the Brace Quack, it retains its guard total until it moves again (willingly or unwillingly). This guard total can be used against any incoming attack made against the bracing Stand. ``` ``` ##### Deflect (*Character*) **To utilize this Quack, a character must be armed with a weapon they have the necessary Weaponry skill to wield.** When you use this Quack, roll a Combat skill check. The total rolled is your deflect total. If the attack roll you attempted to deflect is less than or equal to your deflect total, you take no damage and successfully parry the attack! However, if your deflect roll is less than the attack roll, you take the full damage. You must make a separate deflect roll for each individual attack made against you. There are varying bonuses to a sucessful deflection as well, as detailed below. - If you sucessfully deflect a melee attack roll with a greater deflect total, the attacker gains a 1st-Stage *Off Balance* condition. - If the deflect total exactly matches a melee attack roll's total, the attacker gains a 2nd-Stage *Off Balance* condition. - If the deflect total exactly matches a ranged attack roll's total, the attacker gains a 1st-Stage *Off Balance* condition. ##### Deflect (*Stand*) When your Stand uses this Quack, it makes a Precision roll. The total rolled is your Stand's deflect total. If the attack roll you attempted to deflect is less than or equal to your deflect total, your Stand takes no damage and successfully parries the attack! However, if your Stand's deflect roll is less than the attack roll, you take the full damage. You must make a separate deflect roll for each individual attack made against you. There are varying bonuses to a sucessful deflection as well, as detailed below. - If you sucessfully deflect a melee attack roll with a greater deflect total, the attacker gains a 1st-Stage *Off Balance* condition. - If the deflect total exactly matches a melee attack roll's total, the attacker gains a 2nd-Stage *Off Balance* condition. - If the deflect total exactly matches a ranged attack roll's total, the attacker gains a 1st-Stage *Off Balance* condition. ##### Grab This allows you or your Stand to grab, pick up, or otherwise interact with an object that can fit in your hand. This does no damage. Stands would roll Power, but characters would roll a Grappling skill check. If a target wants to resist being grabbed, it can try to dodge with a Mack, take a Quack to try to wriggle free using a AGI roll or a Grappling skill check, or attempt to force itself free using a POW roll or a Grappling skill check, depending on the entity being grabbed. That's right, the only way a character can get out of a grapple is to dodge it or to escape with a Grappling skill check (or some outside help)! A grabbed target can be considered to have the 1st-stage ***Restrained*** condition, but is otherwise unhindered. If you wish to move using Macks while grabbed, you must roll contested Grappling or POW (depending on entity attempting to move, always use skills for characters and stats for Stands) and succeed, allowing you to expend Macks for the turn. This contested roll does not count as an action or Quack.

\page ##### Shove This allows you or your Stand to push or pull targets. This does no damage. Stands would roll Power, but characters would roll a Grappling skill check. If a Stand or character wants to resist being shoved, it can use a Mack to try to dodge out of the way using a AGI roll or an Evasion skill check or attempt to push back with a Quack using a POW roll or a Grappling skill check, depending on the entity being shoved. Otherwise, the target is pushed a number of meters equal to the POW score or half the PHY score of the pusher. ##### Toss This allows yourself or your Stand to throw an object without enough force to deal damage. Characters would use an Accuracy skill check while Stands would use their Precision stat. ##### Catch This allows yourself or your Stand to catch a non-damaging projectile, such as an object tossed to you. This uses an Accuracy skill check for character and a Precision roll for Stands. ##### Charge The Charge Quack is an upgraded Shove. In addition to doing what Shove does, it allows you to move up to half your movespeed (rounded up) before you make the Shove towards your target. If you cannot reach the target with this movement, you do not Shove them, though you still move. ##### Flee This Quack allows you to move up to half your movespeed away from a hostile combatant. Your MUST be moving in a direction without hostiles. ##### Attack (*Character*) Performing the Attack action as a Quack is difficult and requires that the character have higher than the necessary Weaponry skill bonus required to wield the weapon they are attacking with. To make a Quack Attack with a weapon, a character must meet the Weaponry skill bonus requirement plus 3. Quack Attacks made by characters are attack rolls made using normal modifiers minus 3. ##### Attack (*Stand*) Performing the Attack action as a Quack is difficult and requires a high Agility to land precisely. Quack Attacks made by Stands are Agility rolls made using normal modifiers minus 2. ##### Precision Catch (*Stand*) This upgraded form of the Catch Quack allows your Stand to catch damaging projectiles, such as arrows or rocks flung at it. This uses an requires you to beat the attack roll made with the projectile with a Precision roll. ``` ``` ## Combat Combat, while being the main method of resolving encounters in *JJBRPG*, is certainly not the only way to do things. In fact, the concept of the 'beginning' of a combat encounter can often be very fuzzy. Often, an enemy Stand may set a trap for the players, or ambush them. These are fairly simple, and if no player is able to spot the warning signs or interpret them as the work of an enemy Stand, Initiative will be rolled immediately after the opponent gets one turn in, such as triggering their trap or using their ability in an ambush. Other times, players may be intensely suspicious of nothing, and wish to pull out their Stands to start swinging! If this is the case, you may choose to start combat and roll initiative even if there's no real danger. Be sure to end the combat and have Stands be unsummoned after a few rounds, when its clear to the players that they're being paranoid, or can do nothing about a situation at that moment. After Initiative is rolled, combat proceeds in **rounds**. Initiative determines in what order the combatant's **turns** occur in. It is important to note a difference between these two terms, as some types of actions can only be performed during a player's turn, and some status conditions have effects that happen at the end of a round OR at the end of a turn. On a combatant's turn, they may use their Action, Macks, and Quacks. Quacks and Macks may also be used at opportune times when not the player's turn, though this is explained better in the *Actions* section of this document. There are three main ways of avoiding or mitigating damage in *JJBRPG*, one of which requires a Mack to perform, two of which requires a Quack. The first option is to brace against the source of the damage. If your **Stand** braces against the attack, you make a Stand Brace roll: A Power roll plus or minus whatever bonus it may gain from Stand features, forms, or size. Alternatively, you could have your Stand make a Stand Deflect roll: A Precision roll plus or minus whatever bonus it may gain from Stand features, forms, or size. If your **character** is attempting to brace against an attack, they roll would an Endurance skill check. **However, a character must be wielding a weapon to use the Deflect Quack.** This character deflect roll is made with a Combat skill check. Characters cannot attack Stands unless they have a weapon created by their Stand to fight with, or if their weapon is their Stand (See: Bound Stands). The same can be said about deflecting attacks from Stands, but not about bracing against attacks. A character may brace against any non-Status damage taken, such as from a particularly high fall, a falling rock, an attack from a weapon, and even an attack from a Stand, provided the character bracing can actually see the Stand. More about the Brace and Deflect Quacks is explained and clarified in the *Quacks* section of this document. Characters and Stands can also use their Macks to dodge attacks. Characters roll an Evasion skill check, while Stands use an Agility roll. These are better explained in the *Macks* section of this document.

\page #### Combat Continued There are advantages and disadvantages to each option. Dodging and allows you to avoid all of the damage from a potential attack, and also allows you to move up to 1 meter, but it loses on ties with the attacker. Deflecting allows you to avoid all damage from an attack as well, and if successfully performed will throw an attacker *Off Balance*. However, Bracing wins on ties and can guard against multiple attacks and attackers instead of just one, but also limits movement after its use. When being attacked, it is important to note that the character or Stand can choose to respond or to simply let the attack target their Armor Class. Technically, a character has an Armor Class which will automatically block weaker attacks, and as such a character may be willing to forgo active defense in favor of saving their Quacks or Macks for more important action. This is quite a risky gamble, however, so be careful. If your character drops to below 0 health points, they gain the ***Injured*** status condition, as explained in the *Status Conditions* section of this document. If your character drops to EXACTLY 0 HP, they gain the 1st-stage ***Injured*** condition, but are considered **stable**, meaning they do not need to expend a Quack each round to keep their condition from worsening. For each health point under 0, you gain a stage of the ***Injured*** condition, meaning that if you were to only drop to -1 HP, you would be 1st-stage ***Injured*** and need to expended a Quack every round to keep your condition from increasing in severity, however, if you were to drop to -6 HP, you would instantly die. Remember that when you drop into this ***Injured*** state, your Stand is instantly unsummoned and any effects your Stand's ability was having disappear with it just as quickly. ### Stats that fall under 1 Bad things happen when stats fall below 1, whether they be character stats or Stand stats. If **any character stat** drops to 0 or below, your character instantly becomes affected by the 4th-stage ***Injured*** condition until their stat returns to a positive non-zero value or until they die. If a Stand's Power drops to 0 or below, the Stand and user are both affected by the 5th-stage *Frail* condition as described in the Status Conditions section of this document until its Power returns to a positive non-zero value. If a Stand's Freedom drops to 0 or below, the Stand is instantly unsummoned and is unable to be resummoned until its Freedom returns to a positive non-zero value. If a Stand's Precision drops to 0 or below, the Stand and user are both affected by the 5th-stage *Dazed* condition as described in the Status Conditions section of this document until its Precision returns to a positive non-zero value. If a Stand's Agility drops to 0 or below, the Stand and user are both affected by the 5th-stage *Sluggish* condition as described in the Status Conditions section of this document until its Agility returns to a positive non-zero value. If a Stand's Potential drops to 0 or below, the Stand is unable to use its ability until its Potential returns to a positive non-zero value. ``` ``` ## Story Milestones Your campaign will hit critical points, such as the defeat of a particularly nasty villain, the unveiling of true intentions, or some other progress made towards the conclusion of the main story. A Story Master can declare that a party has hit a story milestone at any point during the campaign, and the players gain rewards! A story milestone is reached at a critical point of a story, perhaps after beating a certain group or number of opponents, learning a piece of vital information, or otherwise progressing the story to the next stage. As an example of when a story milestone occurs, let's take a look at the fantastic fourth part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, *Diamond is Unbreakable*. **Please note that the following section contains spoilers for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable.** The first story milestone comes when Josuke defeats Keicho's Stand, Bad Company. Finally, the entire main party is together. Up until this point, the characters are still warming up to their Stand abilities and each other. Then, the Arrow is introduced, as is the next villain, catapulting the story into its next arc. The second story milestone comes when Josuke and friends defeat Akira's Red Hot Chili Peppers and take back the arrow. This is another triumph on the way to the finale, as the Diamond squad continues to grow and power up. The last story milestone I would grant them would be right after Kira manages to escape them. This is the final point leading up to the climax of the story where a story milestone bonus seems practical. When a story milestone is reached, all player characters gain 2 Character Points and a number of PP based on your Stand Potential. Alternatively, a player may choose to forgo the Character Points for 3 Skill Allocation Points. They still gain the Potential Points in addition to these SAP. Note than increasing a character's Knowledge will grant them more SAP, which may be immediately spent. Additionally, increasing your Experience may increase your maximum number of Stand features, and if it does you may immediately gain new features, up to your maximum.

\page ## Weapons Weapons, while they require knowledge to use based on how difficult to use they are, boost the damage your character can do. While an unarmed strike by a character will generally only do 1 damage, arming yourself with a weapon is a great way to help defend yourself without the use of your Stand! Here's a table that will help you keep track of how much damage a weapon should do, and how high of a bonus in the Weaponry skill a character would need to wield such a weapon. You may also give certain weapons specific bonuses, such as a Halberd having some extra reach, meaning you can attack from farther away. Eventually, when damage types get added, I will likely have the different types of armor be resistant or vulnerable to differeny types of damage, but that's for another patch. Yes, even a Stand with a shotgun will only do its unarmed damage if it lacks the proper Stand Features. However, while this may extend a normally melee-ranged Stand's range, it also exposes the Stand to the scrutiny of non-Stand Users, who will see weapons floating around you and think you are an alien who needs to be disected. In much the same way, non-Bound Stands are not explicitly forbidden to wear armor, but since Stands lack an armor class or any skills, it is purely cosmetic. However, since the armor is supposedly a physical object, it can still be seen as hovering clothing to non-Stand Users, which gives most people the willies, if not the 'absolute paranoia's.

\page ## Resting Resting and regaining health points in this system is very simple. In order to get a full rest, a character must sleep for at least 6 hours without conducting strenuous activity, such as battling, digging, or setting up heavy equipment. When you complete a full rest, you regain half of your maximum health points, rounded down, and decrease your exhaustion by a number of stages equal to 1/3 of your Physique modifier (minimum 1). The table at the end of this section will clarify if you're too lazy to do the math. If a party is interrupted in the middle of their rest, they may continue their rest so long as the interuption is dealt with and sleep is resumed in less than an hour. Time spent dealing with said interuption does not count as time spent resting. Characters that fail to rest every day eventually fall victim to exhaustion. If a character does not get a full rest within 24 hours of their last rest, their exhaustion increases by one stage. Every 24 hours after gaining a stage of Exhaustion without resting incurs another increase in the severity of the condition. Usually, a well-placed ambush or trap, a puzzling ability, or simply temporarily splitting up the party can set them back in their places and cause interesting interactions and encounters, but other times you just really need a cool boss for the party to fight, and that can be hard when the players are a team of 3-6 Stand users and the boss is only one. To fix this issue, try giving your bosses or even some smaller villain **Villain Perks**. Be careful with these, and try not to use multiple on one big baddie. Also try not to make the players fight multiple enemies with these buffs, as they can be ridiculously strong and swing the battles far in the opponent's favor. While possible to get this just right, it can also create some real frustration in the players. Especially for the more obtuse ones, be sure to explain these with a monologue in game!

\page ## Status Conditions In *JJBRPG*, status conditions (also refered to as 'statuses' or 'conditions') are ways to lock down, control, and disable targets. Some can be inflicted through simple means, such as tying someone up with a rope to restrain them or lighting something on fire to set them ablaze, others are more ability and Stand-specific. All statuses in this system work on a stage-based system. 1st-stage conditions are only mildly inconvinient, but with each stage of a condition, you take on not only new challenges and restrictions, but you retain all the downsides of the previous stages! Many statuses, if left unchecked, can lead to injury or death. Some Status Conditions have special ways of increasing in severity, which will be listed under its description, but all can be increased by simply inflicting the status again. Many also have ways of decreasing the severity of the status, such as being close to a heat source for the ***Freezing*** condition, or using your Macks to roll on the ground for the ***Burning*** condition. Another important note about statuses is that they can affect Stands! **If a condition is affecting your character's Stand, that condition is also applied with the same severity to your character!** However, if a condition is applied to you and your Stand is summoned, that status does NOT affect your Stand! This means that usually, when attempting to inflict status conditions on foes to cripple their combat capabilities, it is often best to inflict your condition on the Stand, as it will transfer to the user as well as affecting their Stand's abilities! When a condition specifies that ALL skill rolls are affected, this includes whenever your character would roll Combat or Accuracy to attack, or Endurance or Evasion to deflect or dodge. **Any roll that uses a skill bonus is considered a skill roll.** It is very important to note that since you and your Stand share actions, Quacks, and Macks, if a status were to subtract a Quack, Mack, or action per round from your character but not your Stand, the Stand does NOT retain the lost Macks, Quacks, or actions. So, if only your character were to be affected by a 2nd-Stage ***Exhausted*** condition, you would still only have 2 Macks to spend per round to share between both yourself and your Stand, even though your Stand is technically unaffected by the condition. Finally, remember that when the words *Dodge Rolls* or *Deflect Rolls* pops up, it can refer either to a character's Evasion/Endurance rolls or to a Stand's AGI/POW rolls made to dodge or deflect, respectively. This is all dependant on who is affected by the status condition. **Note: Conditions specify if they can affect both Stands and characters. If a condition specifies that it only affects a character, the Stand can still transfer the condition to its user, the Stand itself simply suffers none of the drawbacks or downsides of the condition.** For example, if you had the *Deep Cuts* Stand feature and hit a Stand with it, the User would gain the ***Bleeding*** status, but the Stand would be unaffected by the downsides. ``` ``` ##### Frail The *Frail* condition can occur when characters are physically weakned in any way, such as from starvation, sickness, or otherwise inflicted by a Stand. To decrease the severity stage of the *Frail* condition, a character must rest or otherwise alleviate the source of the condition. \page ##### Dazed The *Dazed* condition happens when a character's mind is muddled and their senses are confused. A fistful of sand in the eyes could be enough for a 1st-stage *Dazed* condition, whereas being flashbanged could be considered a 4th-stage *Dazed* condition. To decrease the severity stage of the *Dazed* condition takes time. On your turn, you may expend your action to try and snap yourself out of it with an Endurance skill roll. If you succeed, the severity of this condition decreases by 1. Generally, a player character would need to be very lucky to land a hit that inflicts a *Bleeding* status, but I leave that up to the Story Master's discretion, as there is in fact a Stand Feature that allows this. To decrease the severity of a *Bleeding* condition, one must recover health points. For each health point recovered, the severity of this condition decreases by 1 stage. However, the severity may increase if too much *Bleed* damage is taken. Ingesting toxins, being injected with venom, or being otherwised poisoned will inflict this condition. The strongest of Poisons increase in severity over time, usually (but not always) capping at 5th-stage poisoning. If you do not expend the required number of Quacks to prevent *Poison* damage by the end of the round, you take damage equal to the severity stage of the *Poisoned* condition. To decrease the severity of the *Poisoned* condition, you must find a way to purge the poison from your body. Whether inflicted through some neurotoxin or specialized poison, from damage to the nervous system, or from a really really scary Stand, it is a slow, creeping demise. To decrease the severity of the *Paralyzed* condition depends entirely on the source of the paralysis. Most toxins will fade with time, requiring a rest to rid your body of the condition. \page ##### Freezing The *Freezing* condition occurs when a character is subjected to extreme colds. It progressively gets worse over time the longer the character is exposed to the cold. In an extremely cold enviornment such as Antarctica, the *Freezing* condition could increase in severity at the end of EVERY turn! However, in cold but not INSANELY cold places such as a meat locker, it would likely take far more turns to increase in severity. To decrease the severity stage of the *Freezing* condition, a character must be within a few meters of a heat source. It progressively gets worse over time the longer the character is exposed to the heat. While on fire, a character's *Burning* condition increase in severity at the end of EVERY turn! To decrease the severity stage of the *Burning* condition, a character must find a way to escape the heat or douse their flaming form. If a character is on fire, they can decrease their *Burning* condition by expending all of their Macks to stop, drop, and roll on the ground. This decreases the *Burning* condition by 3 stages. When the severity of your *Shocking* stage INCREASES to any stage, your Stand is instantly unsummoned. Whenever the severity is increased to a stage in which the *Shock* damage increases, you take the total amount of *Shock* damage that would be inflicted. The *Shocking* condition is all-or-nothing, and its effects are immediate and short-lived. If you have the *Shocking* condition at the end of the round, it increases in severity by one stage, but this status only remains so long as there is electricity running through you. If you were only momentarily struck by a current or manage to remove yourself from an active stationary current, the severity stage of your *Shocking* condition resets to 0 once the current is no longer running through you. This status condition can make a campaign more unforgiving and hardcore if you give it out very liberally when characters take heavy damage (4+), or you can save it for special opponents such as Stand Users who are looking to escape from but not kill a wrathful party. Ridding your character of the source of the pain might be all you need to recover from low-severity *Agony*, but higher severity stages may take hours of rest to recover from. \page ##### Restrained The *Restrained* condition is one of the few non-deadly conditions in this system. A character can be subject to this condition if they are tied in ropes, manacles, shackled to an object, or any other way in which you may restrain someone. To decrease your *Restrained* condition, you can struggle against your bindings using a Strength roll or Evasion roll, with the check becoming harder as the severity of the condition increases. The stage of the condition decreases by an appropriate amount depending on the bindings, severity stage, struggle roll total, and any other benefits or defecits the Story Master needs to take into account. If a character fails to get a rest within 24 hours of their last rest, they gain a stage of the *Exhausted* condition. To decrease the severity of the *Exhausted* condition, a character must get a full, undisturbed rest in. If a character drops to 0 health points, they gain the 1st-stage *Injured* condition, however, they are considered **stable** and the severity of this condition will not increase on its own. If a character at 0 health points takes damage, the severity of thir *Injured* condition immedietely increases by 1 and they are no longer considered stable. If a character drops below 0 health points, they are considered to be **severely injured** and their *Injured* status may continue to worsen until they are able to regain health points, are stabilized by a Medicine check, or they die. When a character drops below 1 HP, calculate what their negative HP would be. For instance, a character at 1 HP getting hit by an attack that does 3 damage would be knocked down to -2 HP. This character would then gain the 2nd-stage *Injured* condition, as their negative HP was 2. **For each health point under 0, the character gains a stage of the** ***Injured*** **status condition.** When an *Injured* character who is severly injured takes their turn, they must expend either an action or a Quack to keep their injuries from getting worse. \page ##### Off Balance The *Off Balance* status condition affects characters or Stands that have had an attack deflected, or are otherwise in a precarious situation where the target is having trouble with footing or grip. This status limits the Quacks you can utilize, restricting your effectiveness during combat. To get rid of the *Off Balance* status condition, all one needs to do is expend a Mack on your turn to stabilize one's self. \page # Characters ## General In JJBRPG, the term **Character** refers to living creatures, normally human. It can refer to Stand users or non-Stand users alike, though most frequently when talking about characters we will be discussing the chracter you create to play as. Creating your character is a process that involves as much imagination and creativity as it involves building a flavorful and functional stat block. Backstory is important, but it is also important to allow your character to become invested in a new chapter of their life, one that preferably follows the campaign's plotline. Your character's backstory likely heavily influences the way you will spend your **Skill Allocation Points**, or **SAP**. You can take your character's backstory into account when you spend them, or you can use the way you distribute them to get a better feel of what kind of person your character is. Your character has a stat block consisting of 5 base stats, which will be explained shortly. By expending **Character Points**, or **CP**, you will be able to shape the things your character is capable of doing. These base stats affect skill rolls your character makes as well as giving other bonuses to your character. They also make a simple and effective way of describing aspects of your character, such as their level of fitness or education. While creating your character, you will spend CP to increase your character's base stats, spend SAP to increase the bonuses your character has in their skills, and select a special **Character Perk**. ## Character Stats The following are your character's stats, which you will buff using **Character Points**, or **CP**. These stats do two important things mechanically. Firstly, all skill checks will add at least one of your stat scores to its total, so having a high base stat for a particular skill can skyrocket your skill check totals! Secondly, each stat gives a unique bonus based on its score, each of which will be explained independantly in the following sections. Importantly, if a character's stats are temporarily increased or decreased due to a Stand's ability, it immediately affects any skill rolls made that use these stats. However, it does lower the maximum number of Stand Features a character may have or the number of Stat Allocation points a character has. ``` ``` ### Experience (EXP) Experience is the stat which measures a character's cunning, resourcefulness, and general know-how. A character like Joseph Joestar from *JJBA Part 2: Battle Tendency* and *JJBA Part 3: Stardust Crusaders* would have a 10 in this skill, having a plan for every situation and being able to find the tools necessary to enact it. Experience is the base stat for the following four skills: ***Connections*** ***Improvise*** ***Memory*** ***Stands*** Having a high Experience stat generally means that the character has had their Stand for some time, and has at least some expereince fighting with it. This allows a highly Experienced Stand user to use their Stand in new and interesting ways. Mechanically, Experience also determines the base amount of Stand Features which your Stand can have. \page ### Knowledge (KNO) Knowledge is the stat which measures a character's intelligence and know-how in specific fields of specialized information. As such, it can be used as a tool to judge the general educational level of a character. Characters like Narancia and Giorno from *JJBA Part 5: Vento Aureo* are great examples. Narancia, with his little to no education, would have a low Knowledge score, while Giorno, with his knowledge about obscure scientific, medical, and natural phenomenon, would have a very high Knowledge stat. Knowledge is the base stat for the following eight skills: ***Culture*** ***Medicine*** ***Myth*** ***Science*** ***Nature*** ***Piloting*** ***Weaponry*** ***History*** Knowledge is the stat of choice for those who want to have high skill bonuses, as not only is it the base stat for more skills than any other character stat, but it also determines the number of Stat Allocation Points you recieve during character creation! A character such as Jonathan Joestar from *JJBA Part 1: Phantom Blood* or young adult Jotaro Kujo from *JJBA Part 3: Stardust Crusaders* would be great examples. Physique is the base stat for the following five skills: ***Accuracy*** ***Combat*** ***Endurance*** ***Evasion*** ***Grappling*** A high Physique score will help your character do physical activities such as lifing heavy loads or running long distances with ease. These stats can also allow a character to more easily defend themselves or avoid danger. Physique is a huge factor in inter-character combat, contributing to all the skills necessary for attacking, blocking, and dodging, as well as determining a character's base armor class. \page ### Subtlety (SUB) Subtlety is the stat that measures a character's sneakiness and glibness. A character who is charismatic or always able to pull a fast one on you, like Noriaki Kakyoin from *JJBA Part 3: Stardust Crusaders* or Bruno Bucciarati from *JJBA Part 5: Vento Aureo*. Subtlety is the base stat for the following four skills: ***Charm*** ***Deception*** ***Performance*** ***Stealth*** High Subtlety essentially allows characters to play the game differently then a normal Stand User would. It allows a character to persuade and charm others to assist them, decieve enemies into traps or with false information, and turn the tables on would-be surprise encounters. As such, it is a highly versatile stat which is only as powerful as a player's creativity and wit. Finally, Subtlety is integral to a game mechanic known as **Quack Quickness Contests**, or **QQC**s. These will be explained later in more detail, but as a general overview, just know that these rolls determine in which order conflicting Quacks occur in. A character who is paranoid or always looking out for danger would have a high Vigilance score, such as Rohan Kishibe from *JJBA Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable*, or the villain Diavolo from *JJBA Part 5: Vento Aureo*. Vigilance is the base stat for the following three skills: ***Insight*** ***Investigation*** ***Perception*** A high Vigilance stat can save your life. After all, the best way to not get ambushed by a powerful and well-equiped Stand user is to see them coming. Vigilance is also a useful tool for finding new information and clues to aid in your campaign. Vigilance also affects your Initiative rolls. The following table shows the bonuses based on your Vigilance score. ##### Vigilance & Initiative Rolls | VIG Score | Initiative Roll Bonus | |:----:|:-------------| | 10 | +4 | | 9 | +3 | | 8 | +2 | | 7 | +2 | | 6 | +1 | | 5 | +0 | | 4 | +0 | | 3 | -1 | | 2 | -1 | | 1 | -2 | ### Character Points (CP) So, now that you know what all the character stats are for, it's time to put some points into them and make a stat block for your character! To do this, you will spend **Character Points**, or **CP**, similarly to how you spend Stand Points to create your Stand's stat block. When you create your character, you will have **23 Character Points** to spend. All of your stats start at 1, and for each CP you spend on a stat, it increases by one. **During character creation, you may only increase a character stat to a maximum of 9.** Only by reaching story milestones can you increase your stats to the their maximum attainable value of 10.

\page ## Skills There are **25 skills** in the game, all of which are ONLY used for your character specifically, never for your Stand. When you roll a skill check for your character, add the bonus associated with the skill to your d10 roll. Each skill has a **skill bonus** and a **stat grouping**, which are used primarily when rolling skill checks. Any time you roll a skill *for any reason*, it is considered a **skill roll**, including when using Combat or Accuracy to attack or when using Endurance or Evasion to block or dodge. ### Skill Allocation Points *(SAP)* When you create your character, you can spend **Stat Allocation Points**, or **SAP**, to buff up your character's skills. You have a number of these based on your character's Knowledge stat. The only way to increase your skills after character creation is to reach story milestones. However, if you want to better customize your skill lineup initially, you may designate up to three skills as **Weaknesses** before you begin the skill allocation process, the benefits of which are explained later in this section. **If you gain more SAP by reaching a story milestone, you may allocate it to any non-weakness skill.** ### Familiarity and upgrading Skills **Every skill bonus starts at -1, and you may have a maximum bonus of +8 in any skill during character creation.** +8 is NOT the maximum bonus attainable for a skill, it is only the maximum bonus during character creation! As you reach story milestones, you will be given the option to increase your skills to a maximum of +10. **Before you assign Familiarity in the skill allocation process,** decide if you wish to designate any skills as Weaknesses. These will be explained VERY SHORTLY I PROMISE, just remember that they must be determined at this point in the character creation process! **Before you spend any of your SAP, you first must choose skills with which your character has some familiarity.** Select one skill from each base stat grouping. These skills are your Familiarity 1 skills, and are elevated to have a +1 bonus. Next, select three different skills, each from a different stat grouping (EX one from VIG, one from PHY, and one from EXP). Each of these skills is a Familiarity 2 skill, and is elevated to a +3 bonus. Finally, select one skill of your choice that was not chosen in either of the previous steps. This skill is your Familiarity 3 skill, and is elevated to a +5 bonus. **For the rest of the skill allocation process, you may not spend SAP on skills that are considered Familiarity skills.** You should have 16 non-Familiarity skills still remaining at -1 if you did this previous step correctly, or less if you designated any skills as weaknesses. Now that you have 16 stats left at -1, you can start spending your SAP! **For each point put into a skill, its bonus increases by one.** Be sure to keep track of how you spent your SAP, since after character creation is finished, you will be unable to reallocate these points! SAP is **nonrefundable**. ``` ``` ### Skill Weaknesses **Skill Weaknesses** are an integral part of a unique and interesting character. You may make up to a maximum of three skills weaknesses, which immediately sets their bonus to -4. **Any skill which is considered a weakness cannot have its bonus increased** by the use of SAP. Your character is just really bad at it! Of course, designating skills as weaknesses has more benefits than simply making a character more interesting. Each weakness your character has gives you extra character creation tools to work with, based on the following table. The benefits of each entry stack, so for instance, if you have 2 total skill weaknesses, you gain the benefits from the bonus column of both the 1 total weaknesses and 2 total weaknesses rows (IE, +6 SAP and +1 CP). ##### Skill Weakness Bonuses | Total Weaknesses | Bonus | |:----:|:------------------:| | 1 | +3 SAP | | 2 | +3 SAP, +1 CP | | 3 | +2 SAP, +1 SP | ### Skill Descriptions ##### Accuracy Accuracy is a Physique-based skill used whenever a character attempts to make a ranged attack, whether it be with a ranged weapon such as a bow or a gun, or if it is a thrown object such as a bottle or a grenade. It is essentially a ranged attack roll for your character. ##### Charm Charm is a Subtlety-based skill that can be used to attempt to get another character to like you more, or trust you more. This skill does NOT force characters to befriend you if you best them in a contest, however they may be more inclined to hear you out or be more willing to share information or point you in the right direction. ##### Combat Combat is a Physique-based skill which is primarily used when making attacks without your Stand. You would use this skill when swinging a sword, punching a wall, attempting to break down a door, or enact any other violent act that requires strength. ##### Connections Connections is an Experience-based skill that illustrates how well your character knows local people, business, and locales. A character with a high Connections skill has friends everywhere, while one with a low Connections skill is likely in a place they've never been before. Connections can be used to find the black market, to find a business that will give you a discount, or to find a local guide.

\page ##### Culture Culture is a Knowledge-based skill that can be rolled to see how much your character knows about a specific cultural piece of information. It can be used for formal matters pertaining to a character's knowledge of how to behave in high society or to know certain traditions or beliefs of a culture. Additionally, if your campaign has multiple languages, you can use this skill to determine how many languages a character speaks. ##### Deception Deception is a Subtlety-based skill. You will roll a Deception check if you attempt to lie or fudge the details about information to a wary character. If you attempt to trick someone with a Deception check, the person you are attempting to deceive may make an Insight check to see through your lies. ##### Endurance Endurance is a Physique-based skill. Skill checks using Endurance are all about tests of your ability to withstand and take abuse. Endurance is also the skill you roll when your character attempts to take the Block quack (quick-action) and is not using their Stand. Finally, it can be rolled to resist exhaustion. ##### Evasion Evasion is a Physique-based skill. Skill checks utilizing Evasion are mostly used to avoid damage via the Dodge quack. When your character attempts to dodge damage without their Stand, they almost always roll Evasion. It can also be used to drop to the ground, or for other last-second attempts to avoid incoming dangers. ##### Fate Fate is a very special skill, and is not based on any character stat. Fate rolls are not checks that the Story Master calls upon you to make. Instead, they are used when you desperately need things to swing in your favor, and are not rolled like regular skill checks. Fate rolls will be explained in more detail with a table at the end of this skills section. ##### Grappling Grappling is a Physique-based skill used to hold opponents or escape grapples yourself. A successful grapple on a target subjects them to the *Restrained* status condition, and subsequent successful grapple checks can increase this condition to, at most, a stage-4 *Restrained* condition. You cannot further the *Restrained* condition by grappling as a Quack, you must use your full action. ##### History History is a Knowledge-based skill, and is also exactly what it sounds like. A character with a large bonus to History likely knows much about the past, including knowledge on fallen civilizations, leaders, or other historical tidbits. ``` ``` ##### Improvise Improvise is an Experienced-based skill checks that can be very versatile. They can be used to craft trinkets or small mechanisms, use rope or other everyday objects in special ways (such as using a lasso, tying someone up, or finding something nearby you can use as a weapon), and getting hints from the Story Master on how to use or exploit knowledge your character already knows. For instance, perhaps you remember an encounter with a Stand previously, and it fled after a certain event happened. You could attempt to roll an Improvise check to perhaps find a hint as to what about the event could have caused the hostile Stand to flee. ##### Insight Insight is a Vigilance-based skill you roll when you want to get the general feel of a room, put a finger on what mood a character may be feeling, or determine if a character is attempting to deceive or charm you. Insight is a highly reactionary roll, but be cautious! Using it too much could put your character in a bad light, making them seem paranoid ore suspicious themselves! ##### Investigation Investigation is the other Vigilance-based counterpart to the Perception skill and many people end up confusing them, however, this system is very clear about how these skills work. Investigation is rolled when you are closely examining an already-found object for clues, hints, secrets, or just for extra information. It is NOT used to find new objects or people, but to gather information on something already in your possession. ##### Medicine Medicine is a Knowledge-based skill check that would be rolled when you have ample medical supplies to assist or heal a downed character, to stabilize a wound, or to investigate wounds, diseases, or other medical anomolies. A Medicine roll can be used to stabilize a character with the ***Injured*** status condition who would otherwise likely die, and can also be used to reduce the severity of other treatable status conditions. ##### Memory Everyone knows that sometimes, when you have a real life week between sessions, you're bound to forget some important details. Memory is an Experience-based skill which allows your character to organically recall things you as a player have forgotten, or to recall details from their past. For instance, if you passed a character from your backstory, the Story Master may have you roll Memory to recognize them if it has been a sufficiently long time. ##### Myth Myth is an interesting Knowledge-based skill. It covers legends, including mythical creatures, and knowledge of the arcane, if it exists in your setting. This can also be used for knowledge on specific religions or other belief systems.

\page ##### Nature Nature is rather self explanatory, being a Knowledge-based skill concerned with wildlife, botany, and geography. It can be very useful in campaigns that require a lot of traveling or confrontations with wildlife. ##### Perception Perception is a Vigilance-based skill check that helps you pick out details in your surroundings and is used when you are searching for something specific, or just generally searching an area for something. It is not to be confused with Investigation, which is used to more closely examine something you have already discovered, while Perception is used to discover things. It is also frequently used when a Story Master wants to see if anyone notices certain details in a setting. ##### Performance Performance is a Subtlety-based skill used when playing instruments, singing, juggling, or whatever other feat you may be attempting to entice, distract, or otherwise perform for a crowd or individual. It can be used as a sleight of hand substitute for performing card tricks and is incredibly useful when attempting to distract people with lengthy yet unimportant conversation or other tactics. ##### Piloting Piloting, in this system, refers to the driving of any vehicle or the riding of any steed. Piloting is a Knowledge-based skill you would roll when flying a plane, piloting a boat, driving a car, or riding a horse, camel, or other mount. You may have a more difficult time without the proper equipment, however, such as a saddle or bridle. ##### Science Science is a strange Knowledge-based skill because its power varies greatly based on the time period you set your campaign in and the level of technology available. For instance, in modern times, a high bonus would imply knowledge of various fields of science such as biology, chemistry, and physics, but in a medieval campaign it wouldn't make you as knowledgeable as a modern day scientist. Science also covers engineering and knowledge of how to build more complicated machinery. ##### Stands Stands is an Experience-based skill you would roll when you want to determine specifics about a Stand. It also allows you to know more about the general limits of all Stands, which can be useful not only for determining more about a hostile Stand but also for knowing how your ally's Stands work and how your ability will interact with certain other factors. It can also be refered to as "Stand Knowledge", but I have a nice one-word naming system going on for my skills that I don't want to mess up. ##### Stealth Stealth rolls are very simple Subtlety-based rolls: Any time you are doing something and you don't want to be noticed doing it, you make a Stealth roll. Allies might assist in such a roll through a distracting Performance check, potentially making the difficulty of the task easier. ##### Weaponry Weaponry is a Knowledge-based skill which is a measure of how familiar your character is with weapons of all sorts. See the *Weapons* section of the rules for more info. As a Story Master, you can use this skill to check if a character knows how to use a particular weapon, can recognize something wrong with a weapon, determine if something can be used as a weapon effectively, fix a weapon that's broken, jammed, or otherwise unusable, or can even be used to passively determine how many categories of weapons a character can use, if you're playing a less-modern campaign with less guns. ## Character Perks After you set up all your character's stats and skills, you have a chance to select one final special perk for your character. Choose one perk from the ones listed below and gain its benefits! #### Thick Blood Your maximum number of health points increases by 2. You gain 4 SAP immediately which you may spend only to enhance your Physique skills: Evasion, Accuracy, Combat, Grappling, or Endurance. However, they may not pass the character creation limit of +8. #### Penchant for Battle When your character hits with an unarmed attack or any kind of non-Stand weapon, it does an extra 1 damage. Additionally, your character gain +1 Experience, though this may not increase a character's Experience score past the character creation limit of 9. #### Crusader Once per session, you may expend a Quack to immediately use your Action for that round. #### Unbreakable Whenever you would take 3 or more damage, reduce the damage taken by 1. #### Golden Boy You gain 2 CP to spend as you see fit. Additionally, you gain 2 SAP, which can be used to increase a skill above its usual character creation limit of +8. #### Stone-Faced Once per session, you may regain one expended Quack #### Steeled Runner Your character moves an extra 2m per Mack. You gain a +2 bonus to all initiative rolls. #### They Call Me Jojo When you first create your Stand, you gain 2 extra Potential Points to spend. Additionally, you may regain a single expended use of your Fate Die as a Quack once per session.

\page ## Fate Dice Sometimes you roll really badly. It happens to the best of us. When you do, you can try to save your terrible roll by choosing to expend a use of your Fate Die to roll a d10. The d10 is modified by your character's Fate Die modifier as shown by the below table based on the character's Fate bonus. The amount rolled on the Fate Die is added to your previous roll (even if its total is negative!) and the combined result is used in place of the initial roll. **You must choose to use a Fate die before the Story Master tells you if you have passed or failed the roll,** but you may see your roll's total before you decide. For example, let's say my character rolls a total of 1 on a Strength check. I then declare that I shall use one of my Fate Dice, and in doing so, I roll a d10. My Fate bonus is +0, so if I roll a 10 and modify that 10 by the Fate Die modifier (-4) to get a total of 6, I add that 6 to my previous Strength roll of 1 for a grand Strength check total of 7! You don't *need* to use your Fate Dice on exclusively bad rolls. Sometimes, you realize that the only way you're going to be able to make a really important check is if you roll ridiculously high, or you have a bad modifier for a roll. **You can use your Fate Dice on any non-Fate roll you make, but only once per roll.** As a final note on Fate rolls, they do NOT count as skill checks! They are seperate types of rolls, and as such, negative modifiers that affect skill checks and even effecs that say ***All Rolls*** do not affect it. When your character is reduced to 0 HP or below, they become **Injured**, a special status condition which may lead to death! - **Characters have a movespeed of 5m per Mack.** This means that whenever you expend a Mack to move your Stand User, they may move up to 5 meter. This movespeed is seperate and distinct from your Stand's movespeed. - **Characters do 1 damage when they hit with an unarmed strike**, such as a punch, kick, or shoulder charge. - **Characters use their Skills to deflect, brace, dodge, and make attacks.** When your character is attempting to do any of these things of their own power and without assistance from their Stand, you roll a skill check. For brace rolls, you roll Endurance. For dodge rolls, you roll Evasion. For deflect rolls, you roll Combat while holding a weapon. For melee attacks including unarmed strikes, you roll Combat. Finally, for ranged or thrown attacks, you roll Accuracy.

\page # Stands ## General A **Stand** is a manifestation of a character's fighting spirit. It is named as such because it stands next to the user during their hour of need. Stands are special abilities that some individuals possess. A Stand can be attained in any number of ways. These ways vary greatly, especially based on setting. For instance, in *JJBA's Parts 3-5*, Stands are primarily gained in one of three ways: Either you were born with your Stand like Jean Pierre Polnareff, you were shot with a mystical artifact known as The Arrow which has the ability to grant a Stand to anyone who survives the terrible wounds it inflicts such as Koichi Hirose, or a direct ancestor of yours gains a Stand like Jotaro Kujo. Feel free to create new and interesting ways in which your world grants people Stands. For instance, it could be a very strange virus, an ancient magical curse, a technological enhancement, or even an extremely dangerous medical procedure! Stands and the mechanics behind them will be thoroughly explained in the rules section later in this document, so for now the Stats that are attached to your Stand will be explained for you so that you may properly allocate your **Stand Points**, or **SP**, as you see fit. After building a stat block for your Stand, you will need to select a Stand form and size, which dictates various bonuses, features, and flaws that affect how your Stand functions. Only after constructing your Stand will you be able to finalize your Stand's ability with your SM. Feel free to discuss ideas with your Story Master throughout the Stand creation process! ``` ``` ## Stand Stats As with most any role-playing game, *JJBRPG* requires you to allocate points into stats to customize your character and Stand. When we talk about Stand stats in this system, we are always refering to the stats of Power, Freedom, Precision, Agility, and Potential, as opposed to the Character stats of Experience, Knowledge, Physique, Subtlety, and Vigilance. To clarify terminology, a stat's **score** is the total number associated with the stat. This is the number you get after you allocate SP into your Stand stats, or CP into your Character stats. For instance, if I put 6 points into my Power stat, it would have a total score of 7, since every stat starts with a score of 1 before SP allocation. A stat's **modifier** is based on the score, and is added to any roll you make that is associated with that stat. As an example, if my Stand had a 7 in Power, its modifier would be +10, meaning whenever I have my Stand make a Power roll such as an attack, I would add 10 to the roll. Finally, each stat will also have a **rank** attached to it, which is generally used to determine prerequisites for Stand features. As a note, you cannot permanently increase or decrease your stat scores above 10 or below 1, neither when initially assigning your character's stats nor when increasing stats due to a Story Milestone. If a Stand ability or other buff would temporarily modify a stat above 10, it temporarily changes the stat's modifier.

#### Stat Table The following table lists the rank and modifier attached to each Stand stat score. If a stat is temporarily raised above 10, the modifier increases by 2 for each point above 10. For example, a 12 in any stat would net a whopping +22 to any roll made with it! \page ### Power (POW) Power is a stat that details how strong your Stand's unarmed strikes are, how much it can carry, lift, or push, and how tough it is. Power is the most common stat used when a Stand makes an attack roll, though in truth it depends on your Stand's form and method of attack. Power is also helpful when taking the Block Quack (quick-action), since you roll POW when attempting to block damage. Finally, Power negatively effects your Stand's effective range. A Stand with high Power is usually a close ranged fighter, since having a high Power reduces one's range. Power gives a modifier to effective range which is applied only after all other modifiers are accounted for. If the result is not a whole number, round to the nearest integer. A Stand with an A or B in Freedom might have its own unique voice or personality, but it will still always follow its user's commands. Freedom also allows your Stand access to special Stand Features that allow you to use your Stand in crazy ways, such as allowing your Stand to become completely autonomous or allowing it to leave its effective range on an assigned mission, to be completed automatically. Freedom also affects how sneaky your Stand can be, and you may be asked to roll a Freedom check when you attempt to have your Stand do things without being noticed. This will be much easier if the people that would notice can't actually see the Stand, however, they may notice the effects it has on its enviornment, such as carrying, moving, or breaking things, so be careful! Your Freedom score most directly impacts your Stand's effective range. The below table gives you your Stand's base range. \page ### Precision (PRE) Precision measures the exactness of a Stand's motions, actions, and senses. It is necessary for any Stand that wants to call itself a hunter. Whenever your Stand makes a ranged attack, it rolls a Precision attack roll, and the target takes damage based on the projectile used. Generally, heavier or faster moving objects deal more damage. The Story Master should use their own discretion, especially when dealing with projectiles a Stand uses. Stand-made projectiles are usually unable to leave the User's effective range, but regular objects can also be used as weapons in the hands of a precise Stand. You can also count a spray of bullets or hail of projectiles as a single powerful source of damage. Precision is also used as a sort of perception for a Stand. If you use your Stand to scout or are spying through your Stand's senses using a special feature, you roll Precision with its bonus. Finally, Precision is also used defensively. It can be used to deflect incoming attacks, and even knock the attacker *Off Balance*, making it a powerful tool for those Precision-based Stands out there. ### Agility (AGI) Agility dictates how quickly your Stand can move, and how quickly it can react to things. It also determines exactly how fast your Stand can move with a single Mack (movement-action) based on your Stand's form. A high Agility score allows for better dodging from your Stand, and a higher speed also makes it easier for your Stand to get in Quack Attacks, which require Agility rolls. Having a high Agility also unlocks certain powerful Stand Features that allow your Stand to be a speedy powerhouse and off the battlefield! Finally, Agility is also important for character who want to make many attacks in a single turn. A decent Agility rank is necessary to make Quack Attacks available, and the higher your Agility rank rises, the easier these attacks are to hit. ``` ``` ### Potential (POT) A Stand's Potential measures all things to do with its special ability or array of abilities. Potential grants Potential Points (PP) to customize and enhance your Stand's ability, as well as allowing you to unlock powerful Stand Features. ##### Potential Points (PP) The higher your Potential rank is, the more PP you earn for each Story Milestone. Additionally, when you first create your character, you gain the amount of PP listed for your POT rank instantly, and may spend or save it as you wish. These points can be spent on PP Upgrades, special benefits that your Stand can unlock by expending your saved PP. Once spent, PP cannot be recovered. Every Stand user starts with **28 Stand Points** which they may put into their Stand's stats as they see fit. Each **Stand stat starts at a value of 1**, and can be increased by 1 with each SP spent on it. The **maximum value** you are allowed to set any given Stand stat to is **10**. In the same vein, the **minimum value** for any Stand stat is **1**

\page ## Stand Size Stand size impacts your Stand in a variety of ways. The following table lists the various bonuses and negatives gained for each Stand size. If your Stand's size is somehow shifted through perhaps the use of an ability, your bonuses also shift. They do not take up ay significant space in a hex. A Small Stand is generally stands no taller than half of the user's height, and is no smaller than the user's head. On a hex map, they take up about half a hex. A Normal Stand is about the size of the user, with slight variations allowed. On a hex map, they take up 1 hex. A Big Stand is a Stand that is noticeably larger than the user, whether that be taller by a head or more massive/wider due to musculature or other features. My defining line is that if a Big Stand was corporeal, it would have to squeeze through a normal-sized door. On a hex map, they take up 3 hexes. A Monstrous Stand is very large, generally no smaller than a Clydesdale horse or a moose. They can be much larger, however, this particular size requires Story Master compliance, and you must keep in mind that you need the room to summon it, and enough room for it to maneuver inside of your effective range. On a hex map, they take up 7 hexes. ## Stand Form There are 6 Stand forms to choose from. Stand form simply refers to the general build and appearance of your Stand. The form your choose determines many things about your Stand. Form determines the formula used to calculate your Stand's base movespeed as well as granting a small bonus to max Stand features, PP gained per milestone, and the damage your Stand does with attacks. As a note, the descriptions given for each Stand form's appearance do not need to be followed to a T. I highly encourage allowing your Stand to take the appearance you picture for it with only minimal influence by the actual description of the form. For instance, a Stand with a long tail might look humanoid enough to be considered a Humanoid form Stand, but it could also be considered Animalistic due to the tail and possible other animal-like features such as big ears or sharp teeth. However, these features do not necessarily discount the Stand from being considered Humanoid. #### Humanoid

Mechanical Stands come in all shapes and sizes, and while they can be clunky or slow, they are the most physically strong of the basic Stand forms.

The swarm counts as one being for simplicity's sake, however, it can be split into groups when performing actions, Quacks, or Macks. **Groups must be made up of at least 5 individuals.** When it splits, actions and Quacks must be used for each individual grouping, but when you use a Mack and choose to have your Stand move, you may move any number of groups of your swarm up to their movespeed. Whenever your Stand takes damage, it loses the same number of individual units, and you still take damage as normal. For a Swarm to attack, it must swarm over an enemy. When you have a grouping of your Stand use your action to attack, they must be directly adjacent to the target. You may then roll your attack roll, and on a success, your Swarm sweeps over the target, biting, stabbing, or whatever else may be your Stand's method of attack. This deals your Stand's normal damage. For your Swarm to regain lost units, you must take a rest. Resting allows your Swarm to regain up to half of its lost units. If you don't have a full Swarm by the end of one rest, you may need to rest again. ``` ``` #### Bound **WARNING: This Stand form may be difficult for new Story Masters or players to handle. They generally have incredibly powerful abilities, which appear supernatural to these outsiders. As such, Bound Stands are incredibly easy to mistake for everyday, ordinary objects. There are some grand benefits to having a Bound Stand. For one, your Stand's ability will almost certainly be rather strong,especially since you gain an extra 2 Potential Points with every Story Milestone! Also, Bound Stands are great at setting ambushes or catching enemies off guard, since they look identical to normal non-Stand objects. Finally, Bound Stands do not take damage like normal Stands do. When a Bound Stand takes damage and is not being wielded or worn by its User, it is instantly unsummoned, but the User takes no damage! If a Bound Stand is being worn or wielded by its User, the User takes damage as normal. Bound Stands can come in a few categories depending on the physical item they are bound to. When you choose the Bound Stand form, you must also select an *Object Category* that your Stand classifies as. This will determine which Bound Stand features you can take, as well as changing the way your Stand functions.

\page ##### Combat with Bound Stands ***Weapon Form*** If your Stand takes the form of a weapon, when you attack or defend against a non-Stand target with your Stand, you **must** roll as though you were using the proper type of weapon with a skill roll. For instance, if your Stand takes the form of a sword and you attack or deflect against target, you must roll Combat to hit the target, not Power or Precision. However, things change if you are using your Stand to attack or defend against another Stand. If your target is a Stand, or if you are using your Stand to block an attack from an enemy Stand, you **must** use your Stand's stats, Power for melee attacks, Precision to make ranged attacks and deflect. **Bound Weapon Stands cannot take the Brace Quack in addition to the Dodge Mack, but players using them can.**

***Armor Form*** If your Stand takes the form of armor or any other wearable object, your character rolls offensive and defensive rolls as normal when fighting non-Stand targets, as though they were wearing normal armor. When attacking against Stand targets with a bound armor Stand, unarmed attacks can be made by you using your Stand's Power stat. They do your Stand's normal damage, and the Brace and Deflect Quacks can be taken using your Stand's stats defensively. **While wearing a Bound Armor Stand, if you are hit with an attack that would cause your Stand to take damage, you take that damage instead.**

***Vehicle Form*** If your Stand takes the form of a vehicle, it will be unable to assist you directly in your attack or defense rolls for the most part. While driving or otherwise in control of your vehicular Stand, you may use Macks to dodge attacks aimed at it, but it is unable to take the Deflect Quack. The Brace Quack is still available for use, however. **While controlling the movement of a Bound Vehicle Stand, you may use Macks to dodge incoming attacks, but Bound Vehicle Stands are unable to deflect attacks.**

***Object Form*** If your Stand takes the form of an object, it will be mostly unable to assist in direct combat such as making Deflect or Brace Quacks or dodge with Macks. You can still use it to make Deflect Quacks of your own if you absolutely must deflect an enemy Stand's attack, and you can throw it at enemies, but this is generally a bad idea. **Object Stands are objects, and cannot effectively be used to deal damage or defend oneself beyond one's own capacity. Be careful and smart with them!** ##### About Bound Stand Forms Bound Stands can take the form of anything from an everyday object like a book to a weapon of power like a sword or crossbow to an actual vehicle like a boat or a car! There are 4 *Object Categories* which your Stand may fall under depending on its appearance. If your Stand is a weapon intended to deal damage such as a whip or a gun, you must select the *Weapon-Form* Object Category. If your Stand is a suit or armor or any other wearable sort of Stand such as a pair of gauntlets, you choose the *Armor-Form* Object Category. An objects such as a shield could fall under either, so you must choose. If your Stand takes the form of a vehicle, regardless of if its large enough to carry passengers, it is considered a *Vehicle-Form* Stand and as such you must select the *Vehicle-Form* Object Category. Any other form your Bond Stand takes is considered to be in the *Object-Form* Object Category. #### Bound Stand Object Categories ##### Weapon-Form Your Stand takes the form of a weapon which you can deal damage with. You may select any Bound Stand feature that requires the *Weapon-Form* category. Additionally, whenever you attack using your Stand, you have a +1 bonus on your attack roll, regardless of if you are attacking against a character or a Stand. ##### Armor-Form Your Stand takes the form of a wearable defense that you use to protect and empower yourself in some way. You may select any Bound Stand feature that requires the *Armor-Form* category. Additionally, whenever your Stand is summoned on yourself and you choose to take the Brace or Deflect Quack, you gain a +1 bonus on the roll, regardless of if you are defending against a character or a Stand. ##### Object-Form Your Stand takes the form of any object that would not be considered a weapon, a wearable item, or a vehicle, such as a book, a doll, or your hair! Your Stand can select any of the Bound Stand features that do not require a special category of Bound Stand, as well as the expanded *Object-Form* Bound Stand features that may or may not exist. Additionally, you gain 2PP as soon as your Stand's ability is finalized, which you may expend as you see fit. ##### Vehicle-Form Your Stand takes the form of a vehicle, either large enough for passengers or small and remote-controlled. You may select any Bound Stand feature that requires the *Vehicle-Form* category. If your Stand is big enough for you to pilot it while inside, while piloting your Stand, you have a +2 bonus on any Piloting skill checks made to control or manuever your Stand. You expend your Macks while piloting the vehicle to make it move. It's movespeed becomes equal to Agility score + 5m, but it can only move while being piloted. If your Stand is too small for you to pilot while inside of it, it cannot carry passengers or even a pilot, but it can move on its own! You can expend a Mack to have your Stand move as any other Stand form would, with its Movespeed being equal to Agility score +5m.

\page ## General Stand Features The final piece to Stand customization and creation, these features grant interesting bonuses or options to your Stand. Some Stand features have prerequisites, listed just underneath the name of the feature. If the listed prerequisite is in parentheses ( ), you must have a rank that matches or exceeds it to be eligible for this feature. If the listed prerequisite has a the less-than symbol <, you must have a rank that is lower to be eligible for the feature. Additionally, if your Stand's stats were to decrease to a point to where you no longer meet the requirements for a Stand feature, you become unable to gain any benefits from the Stand feature. #### Armorclad *Prerequisites: (D) POW, (C) FRE* Your Stand manifests armor of some sort, which it is always wearing. It gains +2 to Brace rolls it makes. #### Battlemaster *Prerequisites: (C) POW, (C) FRE* Your Stand wields a stand weapon, which it is always holding. Create a new stat block for your Stand using a different Stand Form and/or Size. Its abilities and Stand Features remain the same. #### Sturdy *Prerequisites: (C) FRE, (B) POW, (B) POT* Your Stand taking damage no longer reflects that damage back to you. Instead, your Stand has a Damage Threshold equal to half of its Freedom score plus half of its Power score, rounded up. This Damage Threshold acts as a sort of health bar for your Stand. When its Damage threshold hits 0, it is instantly unsummoned and the user takes 4 damage, no matter where they are. \page ## Swarm Stand Features These are features which can only be taken by Stands with the Swarm Stand form. Prerequisites must still be met, please refer to the General Stand Features list for proper notations and rules. #### Cohesion *Prerequisites: (D) FRE, (B) POW* Groupings of your Swarm with at least 25 individuals are able to take the Brace Quack. #### Scouting Party *Prerequisites: (B) POT, (A) FRE* Groupings of your Swarm with 5 or fewer units are able to leave your effective range. However, while they are outside of your effective range, they lose all communications with their user. They may not even be able to find their way back if you aren't careful, or they could find trouble and end up getting you injured! While outside of communications with you, they follow your last orders to the best of their abilities and do as they see fit to accomplish the task. #### Weaponry *Prerequisites: (A) POT, (B) POW, (C) FRE* The units of your Swarm manifest weaponry. Choose a type of weapon, either melee or ranged. Groupings of your Swarm have a +1 bonus to hit when attacking with their weapons. \page ## Bound Stand Features These are features which can only be taken by Stands with the Bound Stand form. Prerequisites must still be met, please refer to the General Stand Features list for proper notations and rules. Since Bound Stands are almost always summoned for their users, these Bound Stand Features can all be used while outside of combat. #### Trigger Stand *Prerequisites: (B) FRE, (B) POT* Your Stand can now leave your effective range. While outside of your effective range, the Stand will trigger its ability on any person who interacts with it in a specific way which you choose. For example, if your Stand was a book, you could specify anyone who opens it becomes affected by the ability. Whatever the trigger may be, your Stand's ability only works while the target is within your effective range, and the target is no longer affected by the Stand's ability once your Stand is unsummoned. #### Lingering Menace *Prerequisites: (A) FRE, (C) PRE,* **Trigger Stand** *Stand feature* Your Stand can activate its ability outside of your effective range, however, no effects actually occur until the target enters your effective range. The effects always become inactive if the target leaves your effective range. If you drop to 0 hitpoints or otherwise become unconscious, the target is no longer affected by your Stand's ability. #### Invisible *Prerequisites: (c) FRE, (C) POW, (B) POT* Your Stand is now once again invisible to the eyes of those without Stands. #### Speed Demon *Prerequisites: (B) FRE,* **Vehicle-Form** *Category* While riding, piloting, or controlling your Stand, you can expend a Quack immediately after any Mack to move your Stand an extra 10m. #### Duelist's Defense *Prerequisites: (B) AGI, (C) PRE* **Weapon-Form** *Category* You gain +3 on any Deflect roll made while wielding your Stand. #### Power Suit *Prerequisites: (B) POW,* **Armor-Form** *Category* When you make an unarmed attack with your Stand, you may choose to expend a Quack before rolling your attack roll to increase the damage it would deal by 1. #### Recall *Prerequisites: (C) POT, (C) PRE* As a Quack, if your Stand is within your effective range and is not ***Restrained***, it teleports back to your hand or to an empty space next to you, depending on its size. #### Faulty Wiring *Prerequisites: (A) POT,* **Vehicle-Form** *Category* Your Stand's Bound form must have some sort of electrical system to take this feature. Your Stand can make an attack targeting a creature that is touching it. This special attack uses Potential, and takes an action. It inflicts the 1st-stage ***Shocking*** condition if it hits, as electricity surges through the Stand into its target. #### Gas Leak *Prerequisites: (C) PRE, (B) POT,* **Vehicle-Form** *Category* Your Stand's Bound form must use gasoline or oil to take this feature. By expelling gasoline from itself as an action, it increases the ***Burning*** condition of the target by 1 stage. This is a special attack that uses Potential. #### All Terrain *Prerequisites: (D) POT, (B) FRE,* **Vehicle-Form** *Category* If your Stand is a grounded, land vehicle, it gains the ability to drive/climb walls. If your Stand is a water vehicle, it becomes amphibious and is able to drive on land.
