#### Nihlo Candle ___ - Adventuring gear - 60 gp, 1 lb. ___ This candle shaped rod contains layers of blasting powder and an alchemical concoction. Typically a firework used in celebration in Abrakadab, adventurers have found an alternate use for them. As an action you can ignite the fuse and take aim, firing 1d8+2 orbs of colorful fire at a target within 30 feet. The target makes a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, only getting hit by half(rounded down) of the orbs on a successful save. Each of the colorful orbs deals 1d4+1 fire damage. By gripping it a different way or activating a hidden mechanism as a bonus action, this weapon can funtion as an entirely different weapon, as listed above. **Finesse.** When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls. You must use the same modifier for both rolls. **Heavy.** Creatures that are Small or Tiny have disadvantage on attack rolls with heavy weapons. A heavy weapon's size and bulk make it too large for a Small or Tiny creature to use effectively. **Special.** You have disadvantage when you use a lance to attack a target within 5 feet of you. Also, a lance requires two hands to wield when you aren't mounted. When you attack with the firearm form of this weapon, you may alternatively discharge the remaining munition instead. When you do so, the target must make a Dexterity saving throw equal to 10 + your Proficiency modifier. On a failed save the target takes 3d6 fire damage for every piece of ammunition still loaded. On a successful save the target takes half damage. After you make this special attack your weapon is jammed, and also roll a d6, on a 1, 2 or 3 your weapon has misfired instead. **Reach.** This weapon adds 5 feet to your reach when you attack with it. This property also determines your reach for opportunity attacks with a reach weapon. **Ammunition.** You can use a weapon that has the ammunition property to make a ranged attack only if you have ammunition to fire from the weapon. Each time you attack with the weapon, you expend one piece of ammunition. Drawing the ammunition from a quiver, case, or other container is part of the attack. Loading a one-handed weapon requires a free hand. If you use a weapon that has the ammunition property to make a melee attack, you treat the weapon as an improvised weapon. **Reload.** A limited number of shots can be made with a weapon that has the reload property. A character must then reload it using an action or bonus action.(your choice) **Two-Handed.** This weapon requires two hands to use. This property is relevant only when you attack with the weapon, not when you simply hold it. **Firearm.** The power of a firearm primarily comes from the weapon itself instead of its wielder. You may not add your ability modifier to the damage roll of this weapon. **Jamming.** Whenever you make an attack roll with a firearm, and the dice roll is equal to or lower than the weapon’s jamming score, the weapon jams. The attack misses, and the weapon cannot be used again until you spend an action to try and unjam it. Creatures who use a firearm without being proficient increase the weapon’s jamming score by 1. **Misfire.** Whenever you make an attack roll with a firearm, and the dice roll is equal to or lower than the weapon’s Misfire score, the weapon misfires. The attack misses, and the weapon cannot be used again until you spend an action to try and repair it. To repair your firearm, you must make a successful Tinker’s Tools check (DC equal to 8 + misfire score). If your check fails, the weapon is broken and must be mended out of combat at a quarter of the cost of the firearm. Creatures who use a firearm without being proficient increase the weapon’s misfire score by 1.
