# Prelude Located in a remote mountainous region far away from the rest of civilization, there’s the ancient city of Yharnam. It’s a gloomy city where the indigenous faith has given birth to prejudice, but it’s also known as a center of ancient medical learning. Many bizarre secrets are hidden within its dark depths. However, the city is now affected by the horrifying epidemic commonly named “the plague of the beast,” and is now known as a cursed place. Those afflicted transform into hideous beasts, “the citizens around are unaware that they too are afflicted.” Even the so-called “normal humans”, rare in number, might have their own share of abnormalities to contend with deep down. Today in the city of Yharnam the “Beast Hunt” happens every night, and the streets are filled of the smell of blood, beasts, and death. There’s a peculiar atmosphere, as the crowds performing the “Beast Hunt” wander around the city. They walk around with bleary, confused eyes, with their weapons and torches in their hands. The beasts are great in strength and fast on foot. It is best to watch the beasts movements and think of the best strategy of how to take them on. There are those that burn the bodies of huge beasts. A cruel feast unfolds under the beautiful moon, but what do these people have in common with the beasts? That answer is unknown at this very time. There are people who hunt down the beasts for a living, and they are called “Hunters.” Their equipment includes a unique weapon that has the shape of a Saw mixed with a hatchet as well as a Shotgun to take down the Beasts. Armor is obsolete and so Hunters use a different battle technique to fight their battles. The shotgun is used for far away encounters whilst their unique weapon is used for up close battles. This is how the Hunters fight. When the time comes to overcome dangerous situation, they must persevere to stay alive in many life and death struggles. From here on out, bet your life as your ghastly battle will begin…

## Optional rule changes ##### Armour Heavy armor is unavailable as well as medium armor that has a penalty on stealth. Medium armour now gains an additional AC from dexterity, as well as being able to use strength instead of dexterity when calculating AC. This ups the maximum to +3 from dexterity or strength. Light armor remains unchanged. Shields in Yharnam are rendered relatively useless in combat against beasts, thus they only grant a +1 to AC. ##### Trick weapons Trick weapons were developed by Hunters of the Workshop. These weapons are the tools of the trade for Hunters, made to be as flexible as the hunter itself. Trick weapons have a special property that allows them to be transformed within combat to different state. Additionally every Trick weapon can be accompanied by a firearm weilded in the off-hand, so long as the Trick weapon is weilded in one hand. ##### Firearms Firearms act as a replacement for bows/crossbows. These simple yet effective weapons have special properties, listed later. ##### Quick-fire shot Some firearms can be fired as a bonus action. ##### Parry shot When you are targeted by an attack from a large or smaller creature, you can use your reaction to make a ranged weapon attack against that creature, so long as they are within the weapons range. If this attack hits, you reduce the damge you take from that attack equal to your damage roll. If you roll a 19 or 20 on this attack the creature's attack misses and it is stunned until the start of its next turn, or until the it takes damage. ##### Dodge roll When you are targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. When you use this movement you give that attack disadvantage. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to twice your proficiency bonus, you regain all expended uses after a long rest. ##### Blood vials *Special blood used in ministration. Restores HP. Once a patient has had their blood ministered, a unique but common treatment in Yharnam, successive infusions recall the first, and are all the more invigorating for it. No surprise that most Yharnamites are heavy users of blood.* Blood vials act as Health potions, each character gains a number of vials equal to their **proficiency bouns + 1**, at the end of a long rest. Once per turn, as your object interaction, you can inject a Blood vial, you regain hit points equal to a number of d4s equal to your proficiency bouns , plus your proficiency bouns. ##### Quicksilver bullets *Special bullets used with hunter firearms. Ordinary bullets have no effect on beasts, and so Quicksilver Bullets, fused with the wielder's own blood, must be employed.* Each character gains **10** Quicksilver bullets at the end of a long rest, you can sacrifice a hit die as a bonus action to regain **4** bullets. ##### Rally Rally potential is pool of points equal to half the total amount of damage you take outside of your turn. When you make an attack with more than one point in your rally potential pool, you regeain hit points equal to the damage roll. You cannot regain more hit points in a single turn than the current total of your rally potential. Your rally potential resets to zero at the end of your turn.

Characters in Bloodborne are those of the hunt, where physical prowess tops the power of the mind. In a land where the power of the gods have faded, Great Ones are the source of most arcane power and such the choice of classes and subclasses is limited. The Classes available are all but the Monk, as the art of Ki is lost and the stillness of mind is unachievable with the presence of the Great Ones, feel free to substitute the Monk with the Homebrew Pugilist class or import your monks from a faraway land. Just make sure their stillness of mind holds up against the madness of the hunt. Following is a table of all the subclasses thematically suitable per class:

# The Hunter Hunters are a group of warriors who have taken up the task of relentlessly hunting the monstrous creatures that plague the lands. Skilled in both brutal combat and arcane rituals, they wield specialized tools known as Trick weapons, unique armaments designed to cause maximum carnage. Equipping themselves with firearms loaded with unique Quick-silver bullets, they channel the powers of blood and eldritch knowledge to enhance their physical abilities or unleash devastating, otherworldly powers. They navigate the line between humanity and madness, driven by a singular purpose: to rid the world of the nightmarish abominations at any cost. Their focus on quick reflexes, and deadly precision makes them formidable foes, though the price of their power is often steep, leaving them at the mercy of their own darker nature. ### The Enternal Hunt Throughout history, there have been moments when humanity faces the brink of extinction—times when it's no longer safe to step outside, when monstrous creatures roam the earth, devouring everything in their path. In these dark days, evil forces walk freely, no longer fearing the mortal races, and prayers to the gods seem to fall on deaf ears. In these desperate times, some with nothing left to lose rise up to challenge the beasts. Most perish in the struggle, but a few emerge changed. ### Creating a Hunter What led you to become a hunter? Were you driven by the need to protect someone close to you? The thirst for vengeance after their death? Or perhaps a sense of duty? Whatever the reason, you now track down fearsome, powerful creatures. How has this shaped who you are? How do you decide go about your hunts, with skill and planning, or unceasing ferocity? #### Quick Build You can make a Hunter quickly by following these suggestions. Choose one of the following options. You can't take a fighting style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again. #### Proficient Fighting When you roll damage for an attack, and roll a 1, you can add half your proficiency rounded down, to the damage roll. #### Church Hunter You can engage in two-weapon fighting with any weapons you can wield in one hand, including one-handed ranged weapons and weapons without the light property. When you do so, you gain a +1 bonus to the damage rolls with both weapons.

#### Great Weapon Fighting When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can re-roll the die and must use the new roll. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit. #### Two-Weapon Fighting When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second attack. ### Hunter's Workshop Your training and skill allow you to utilise the Trick Weapons of the Hunter's Workshop. You can choose one of the following wepaons. You gain access to addtional Trick Weapons at higher levels. (*All Tricks Weapons are detailed later in this document.*) * Hunter Axe * Saw Cleaver * Threaded Cane * Saw Spear

At level 10 you can choose one additional Trick Weapon from the expanded list. * Ludwig's Holy Blade * Rifle Spear * Stake Driver * Tonitrus

At 18th level you can choose a final Trick Weapon from the full list. * Beast Cutter * Blood Letter * Boom Hammer * Holy Moonlight Sword * Rakuyo * Simon's Bowblade ``` ```

### Insight At 2nd level your Expertise for tracking and hunting is only matched by a select few, and few can also match your knowledge of your quarry. You gain advantage on rolls to track or identify an Aberration, Fiend, Monstrosity, or Undead. ### Rally From 2nd level onward you are consumed by bloodlust in the midst of battle, as long as the blood keeps flowing, you will endure any wound. Once per turn, if you have lost hit points since the end of your last turn, when you hit a creature with an attack, you regain 1d4 hit points. The amount of hit points regained increaces to 2d4 at 6th level, 3d4 at 10th level and 4d4 at 14th level. ### Hunter's Oath At 3rd level, you chose a Hunter's Oath, eldritch runes born of the transcription of inhuman sounds, to memorize one is to gain its strength. Choose between the Corruption, Radiance, Impurity, Hunter, Beasts Embrace or Milkweed Oaths all of which are detailed at the end of the class description. Your choice grants you features at 3rd and again at 7th, 10th, 14th and 18th level. ### Ability Score Increase When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. ### Extra Attack Starting at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three at 17th level in this class.

\page ### Quickstep By 6th level your experience in fighting has taught you that it is sometimes better to exert yourself than to trust your armour. As a reaction to being the target of an attack, you move 5 feet and make a Dexterity saving throw against the creature's attack roll, if you succeed, the attack misses. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. ### Evasion Starting at 9th level, you have learned better techniques for avoiding death on the hunt. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. ### Improved Insight Passed 11th level, when you are subjected to a saving throw caused by an Aberration, Fiend, Monstrosity or Undead, you can grant yourself a bonus to the roll equal to your proficiency bonus. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses of this feature after you finish a long rest. ### Brutal Critical Beginning at 13th level you have learned to attack quickly and brutally, their is no time for mercy on the hunt, you can roll one additional weapon damage die when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack. ### Improved Quickstep From 15th level whenever you use your Quickstep feature you have advantage on the roll. Whether or not you succeed on the saving throw, until the start of your next turn, all attacks made against you have disadvantage. ### The Hunter's Dream Once you reach 20th level, the next time you long rest, you awakwen int the Hunter's Dream. Over time, countless hunters have visited this dream, thought to be a safe haven and a place one could find peace and solace. In this serene garden, hundreds of graves stand in their memory. The pale moon here, which beckoned the first hunters and conceived the Hunter's Dream, now sustains you and indefinitely subjects you to the fate of watching over it for all eternity. You will never truly die, or forget the dream. You cease aging, and if you die, you reawaken the next day at the last location you took a long rest. Only a wish spell can unshackle you from the Hunter's Dream. ``` ``` ## Hunter's Oaths

### Corruption *A secret symbol left by Caryll, runesmith of Byrgenwerth. Pledgers to this oath are Cainhurst Vilebloods, hunters of blood who find dregs for their Queen in coldblood, particularly in that of hunters.* *Yet the corrupt are heretics in the eyes of the Church, and thus subject to the wrath of the Executioners.* #### Bloodtinge Starting at level 3, as a bonus action you can steep a weapon with your corrupted blood, you lose hit points equal half your level in this class, rounded up. For 1 minute this weapon deals an additional 1d4 necrotic damage. This is improved to 1d6 at 7th level, and 1d8 at level 14. Additionally any creature that ingests your blood is poisoned for 1 minute, they can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end the effect, the DC of which is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. #### Vileblood Beginning at 7th level the corruption begins to manifest in your blood. While your current hit points are less than half your maximium, but above 0, you regain an amount equal to your proficiency bonus at the start of your turn. #### Queen's Vigor Starting an 10th level, You have advantage on death saving throws. You also gain 1 hit point if you roll an 18 - 20 on a death saving throw. #### Cainhurst Armory At level 10 you aquire one of the following Trick Weapons. (*All Tricks Weapons are detailed later in this document.*) * Chikage * Reiterpallasch #### Visceral Attack Starting at level 14, Once on each of your turns when you hit with a melee attack against a creature that is restrained, incapasitated, stunned, or surprised it automactly counts as a crtical hit.

\page #### Blood Rapture Once you reach 18th level, you feel the raw euphoria of the warmth of blood. once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon effected by your Bloodtinge feature, you can force that creature to make a Constitution saving throw against your Bloodtinge save DC. On a failed save the creature take an additional 6d8 necrotic damage, or half as much on a successful one. You can cause this to happen a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you regain all uses of this feature at the end of a long rest.

### Radiance *A secret symbol left by Caryll, runesmith of Byrgenwerth. The rune for "Radiance," adopted by the sworn Executioners under Logarius' command.* *The executioners despise the impure Vilebloods, and no matter what the circumstances, would never cooperate with the bloodthirsty hunters who serve the undead queen, Annalise.* #### Exicutioner Starting at 3rd level, with you rightous might, your strikes land even harder. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d6 weapon damage, this extra damage ignores resistance or immunity. This improves to 2d6 at 7th level, and 4d6 at level 14. #### Guidance From level 7 onward you are guided by spirits in the midst of the hunt. When you regain hit points from your Rally feature, you regain an additional amount of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. #### The Good Blood Starting at 10th level, your blood has been imbued with strange healing properties, whenever you would regain hit points, you regain an additional amount equal to your Constitution modifier. This does not apply to your Rally feature. #### Church Armaments At level 10 you aquire one of the following Trick Weapons. (*All Tricks Weapons are detailed later in this document.*) * Logarius' Wheel * Church Pick ``` ``` #### Blood Healing At 14th level your blood gains a regenerative property, this comes in the form of a pool of d6s equal to half of your Hunter level rounded down. As an action you are able to touch a creatre and expended any number of d6s remaining, and restore a number of hit points equal to the amount rolled, when you do so you also regain hit points equal to number of dice expended. You regain all expended dice on a long rest. #### Martyrdom Beginning at 18th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can instead drop to 1 hit point. You can't use this feature again until you complete a long rest. When you use this feature, you can use your reaction to cast either Imprisonment or Power word stun without requiring a spell slot or material components. However, when you cast either of these spells using this feature on a target successfully, you must succeed a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or you are also subjected to their effects.

### Impurity *A Carryl rune that transcribes inhuman sounds. This rune, discovered inside the forbidden beast eater, came to symbolize "Impurity," and the oath of the League.* *Confederates of The League cooperate with hunters from other worlds, and hunt to discover vermin.* *Vermin writhe within filth, and are the root of man's impurity. Crush all vermin without hesitation.* #### League Initiate When you choose this oath at 3rd level you gain the following benefits: * You can use your Insight feature on humanoid creatures. * You gain proficiency in the investigation skill. * You gain proficiency in torturers tools. * Your hit point maximium increases by 1 for each level in this class and increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class. #### Hunter Of Vermin Vermin, found hidden within filth, are only seen by League confederates, and are the root of man's impurity. Those who can see vermin are provided with boundless purpose. At level 3 you can hold a maximum number of vermin equal to three times your proficiency bonus. You can use a vermin to cast the spell detect thoughts without expending a spell slot. You can also use a vermin to cast either the Searing Smite, Thunderous Smite, or Wraithful Smite spells at their lowest levels, without expending a spell slot. Once you reach 7th level you can cast the Branding Smite spell at its lowest level by using 2 vermin, without requiring a spell slot. You regain all expended vermin when you finish a long rest. **Spell save DC** = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. #### Beckoning Bell From level 7 onwards, you have learned that its better to hunt in groups rather than alone. As an action you can expend 6 vermin to ring the Beconing Bell and call forth one of your League compatriots. Roll a d4 to determin which League compatriot is summoned to your aid. **1.** Younger Madaras Twin, **2.** Old Hunter Henryk,

**3.** Yamaura the Wanderer, or **4.** Valtr, Beast Eater. (The stat blocks for each League compatriot are on the following two pages.) When the League compatriot is summoned, they appear in an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of you. They are friendly to you and your companions. In combat they share your initiative but take their turn imediatly after yours. On their turn they will they will only take the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to tell them to take another action. That action can be one in their stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the league compatriot can take any action of their choice, not just dodge. The League compatriot remains for 1 minute or until they reach 0 hit points. You can only have one League compatriot summoned at a time, if you summon another one, the first disappears. #### Oedon Writhe Starting at 10th level you are immune to the charmed and frightened conditions. Additionally, when a creatre dies, the first time you move through an adjacent space to the corpse, you can find a vermin. Upon doing so you regain a single vermin, no other creature can see these vermin. When you cast any of the Smite spells listed in your Hunter of Vermin feature, you can cast it at a higher level by expending 1 additional vermin for each spell level above its lowest level. #### League Mastery At level 10 you aquire one of the following Trick Weapons. ### Hunter *A Caryll Rune that transcribes inhuman sounds.* *This red-smudged rune means "Hunter," and has been adopted by those who have taken the Hunter of Hunters oath.* *These watchmen admonish those who have become addled with blood. Be they men or beasts, anyone who has threatened the pledgers of the "Hunter" oath surely has an issue with blood.* #### Boundless Stamina When you take on the oath of the Hunter at level 3 your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you can take the Dash action as a bonus action. In addition you can use your Insight feature on humanoid creatures. #### Hunter's Techniques Also, at 3rd level you have learned number of special techniques to aid in the slaying of those who have lost themseleves to the seduction of the blood. You can perform one of these techniques per round. Once you reach 10th level you can use two technequies, three at level 14, and four at 18th level. Some of your techniques require a saving throw to be made, this is calculated as, **Save DC** = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. * **Provoke** - When an ally within 15ft of you, that you can see is the target of an attack, you can use your reaction to force the attacking creature to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, that creature must use their movement to move within range and target you instead. ``` ``` * **Impairing Strike** - When you hit a creature you can force the target to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on its next attack roll. * **Crowd Control** - When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can make another attack against a different creature that is within 5 ft of the original target and within rage of your weapon, you have disadvantage on this attack. * **Surefooted** - When you make an attack you may grant yourself a +3 bonus to that attack roll, but you do not add your damage modifier to the damage roll on a hit. * **Bait and Strike** - When you are targeted by an attack, you may use your reaction to grant that attack advantage. When you do so, you may add half your proficiency bonus, rounded up, to your AC, for that attack. If this attack missess, you can then make one attack against that creature. #### A Hunter Must Hunt By 7th level you have become adept at hunting those who are addled with blood. Once per round if you have already hit a creature, the next hit against that creature deals additional 1d8 weapon damage, if the creature is a humanoid the extra damage is 1d10, you can deal with extra damage only once per turn. At 14th level this damage increases to 2d8 (2d10). #### Heightened Reflexes Starting at Level 10 you gain an additional reaction per round. You also gain additional uses of your Quickstep feature equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded up. #### Hunter's Arsonal At level 10 you aquire one of the following Trick Weapons. (*All Tricks Weapons are detailed later in this document.*) * Kirk Hammer * Blades of Mercy #### Expanded Skills At 14th level you gain additional techniques. * **Counter attack** - When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to make one attack against that creature. * **Punish** - When you succeed on a saving throw, you can move up to half of your movement and make one attack against the creature that caused the saving throw. * **Power Attack** - When you make an attack, you can choose to not add your proficiency bonus to your attack roll, but you can add an extra damage die to the damage roll if this attack hits. #### Exceptional Reflexes At level 18 you can now make four reactions per round. You also gain an additional technique. * **Relentless** - When you miss a creature with an attack, you can make another attack against that creature. (This technique is still bound the limitations of your Hunter's Techniques feature.)

### Beasts Embrace *After repeated experiments in controlling the scourge of beasts, the gentle "Embrace" rune was discovered. When its implementation failed, the "Embrace" became a forbidden rune, but its knowledge became a foundation of the Healing Church. Those who swear this oath take on a ghastly form, and enjoy accentuated transformation effects, especially while wielding a beast weapon.* #### Clawmark Starting at 3th level, your hands start to grow into grotesque claws, you deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier on unarmed attacks. The damage die for your unarmed attacks improves to 1d6 at 10th level, and 1d8 at 14th level. Additionaly whenever you take the attack action on your turn, you can make one unarmed attack as a bonus action. #### Beasthood From level 7 after you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can gain a point of Beasthood. For every point of Beasthood, your attacks deal an additional 2 points of damage. You also take 1 additional point of damage for each point of Beasthood you possess when you are hit by an attack. This additional damage against you cannot be reduced in any way. You may possess a maximum number of Beasthood points equal to your proficiency bonus. You lose 1 point if you do not hit with an attack on your turn. #### Metamorphosis At level 10 you have all but given into the bloodlust that consumes you, as a bonus action you can temporarily transform into your monstrous Abhorrent form for up to 1 minute, this form can be exited as a bounus action. While in this form you gain the following benifits. * Your creature type becomes Monstrosity * Your size catagory increases by 1. eg. medium to large. * Your AC becomes 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier, as your size renders your armour unusable while in this form. * Your movement speed, and the reach of your melee attacks both increase by 5 feet. * When you hit a creature with a unarmed melee attack you gain an additional point of Beasthood. You can transform in this way two times before you must finish a long rest to regain the use of this feature. ``` ```

Also, whenever you take the attack action on your turn, you can make two unarmed attack as a bonus action, instead of one. Additionally when you hit a creature with an unarmed attack you regain hit points equal to the amount of Beasthood points you currently possess. #### Bloodlust Upon reaching level 18 you gain advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that is missing hit points. Addtinally if the target of your attack is missing more than half it's hit points you deal an additional damage die on a hit.

### Milkweed *A Caryll rune envisioned by Adeline, patient of the research hall. A transcription of the inhuman, sticky whispers that reveal the nature of a celestial attendant. Those who take this oath become a lumenwood that peers towards the sky, feeding phantasms in its luscious bed. Phantasms guide us and lead us to further discoveries.* #### Great One Magic When you take this Oath at level 3, you begin to tap into the elusive and maddening eldritch truth. A Great One sympathizes with your thirst for knowledge and blesses allowing you to cast spells. **Cantrips.** You learn two cantrips of your choice from the warlock spell lists. You lean an additional warlock cantrip of your choice at 10th level. **Spell Slots** The Milkweed Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have. The table also shows what the level of those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level. To cast one of those spells, you must expend a spell slot. You regain all expended spell slots when finished a short or long rest. For example, when you are 7th level, you have two 2nd-level spell slot. To cast the 1st-level spell, witch bolt, you must spend one of those slots, and you cast it as a 2nd- level spell. **Spells Known of 1st-level and Higher.** At third level you known two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list. The Spells known column of the Milkweed Spellcasting table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level and higher. A spell you choose must be of a levle no higher than what's shown in the table's Slot Level column for your level. When you reach 7th level for example, you can learn a new warlock spell, which can be 1st or 2nd level. Additionally, when you gain a level in the class you can choose one of the warlock spells you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots. **Spellcasing Ability**. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since you learn your spells through the insight given to you by the Great Ones. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. \page #### Transcendance From level 10 onward as a bonus action you can transform into a Lumenwood form, as your head erupts into a enormous flower which peers towards the sky. While in this form you gain the following benifits. * You gain Truesight and Blindsight out to a range of 60 feet, but you are blind beyond this range. * As an action you can force up to six creatures of your choice within 60 feet to make a Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC, or take 3d8 psychic damage as phantasms pour out from you. * When you cast a contrip, you can target an additional creature within range. * You can add your Wisdom modifier to any damage rolls you make. This transformation lasts for up to 1 minute, and can be exited as a bonus action. You can use this once before you must complete a short or long rest to regain the use of this feature. #### Great One Weapons At level 10 you aquire one of the following Trick Weapons. (*All Tricks Weapons are detailed later in this document.*) * Kos Parasite * Amygdalan Arm #### Moon step At level 14 when you cast a spell you can teleport up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space. Additionally while in your Lumenwood form when you use your Quickstep feature you gain resistance to damage from spells or other magical effects, until the start of your next turn. #### Communion Once you reach level 18 you can cast the spell A Call Beyond without expending a spell slot. When you do so, you can cast it as if using a 7th level spell slot. You can do this once before you must finish a long rest to do so again. You also gain immunity to psychic damage.

### Default and Transformed States: A standard Trick Weapon can exist in two states, referred to as the Default State and the Tricked State. If a Trick Weapon has the Two-Handed property, the wielder cannot switch to the State with the Two-Handed property if they are equipped with a shield. ### Transform Attacks: The wielder may freely change between the two states when making a melee weapon attack by utilizing a Transform Attack. A Transform Attack counts as an item manipulation in tandem with a melee attack, thus costing no action to perform. Off-handed weaponry or other items held in hand may quickly be stowed away or dropped as part of the same Transform Attack. Shields are not able to be stowed away as part of a Transform Attack.

## Hunter Axe *One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used on the hunt. No matter their pasts, beasts are no more than beasts. In its Default State, the Hunter Axe resembles an old battle axe. The Transformed State has the handle telescope out, converting the weapon into a poleaxe. As an action, while in its Transformed State, the wielder can whirl the Hunter Axe around themself. Each creature within the weapon's reach must make a Strength save, taking 1d10 Slashing damage on a failed save and are knocked prone. On a successful save, the creatures take half as much damage and are not knocked prone. The save DC for this attack is equal to 8 + the wielder's proficiency bonus + the wielder's Strength modifier. ``` ```

## Saw Cleaver *One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used in the hunting business.* *This saw, effective at drawing the blood of beasts, transforms into a long cleaver that makes use of centrifugal force.* *The saw, with its set of blood-letting teeth, has become a symbol of the hunt, and only grows in effectiveness the more grotesquely transformed the beast.* * **Weapon Proficiency:** Martial Melee * **Default State Properties:** 1d8 Slashing damage, Special * **Transformed State Properties:** 1d8 Slashing damage, Special A serrated saw in one form and a large cleaver in another, the Saw Cleaver is popular with initiates and veterans alike and has become symbolic with the beast hunts of Yharnam. The serrations found on this weapon in the Default State deal an extra 1d4 Slashing damage against aberrations and monstrosities. In the Transformed State, the large sweeping motions cleave through numerous creatures at once. When the wielder successfully attacks a creature with this weapon, one creature of their choice within 5 feet of the original target takes slashing damage equal to the wielder's Strength modifier plus their proficiency bonus.

## Threaded Cane *One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used by hunters on their duties.* *Sufficiently deadly as a rigid bladed cane, but also serves as a whip when its blade is split into many.* *Concealing the weapon inside the cane and flogging the beasts with the whip is partly an act of ceremony, an attempt to demonstrate to oneself that the bloodlust of the hunt will never encroach upon the soul.* * **Weapon Proficiency:** Martial Melee * **Default State Properties:** 1d8 Bludgeoning damage, Finesse, special * **Transformed State Properties:** 1d4 Slashing damage, Finesse, special A popular pick for initiates who favor dexterity over brute force, the Threaded Cane appears to be an ordinary walking cane until transformed into a bladed whip. The Default State has been blessed by holy energy, dealing an extra 1d4 radiant damage to undead and fiends. While in the Transformed State the Threaded Cane has a reach of 15 ft, additionally the serrations found on this weapon in this state deal an extra 1d4 Slashing damage against aberrations and monstrosities. When the weilder makes an attack with this weapon, while in its Transformed State, they can choose to target a single creature or unleash the attack in a 15ft cone. However, the very power that enchants the blade also eats away at the wielder over time. At the beginning of their turn while they wield the Chikage in it's Transormed State, they lose Hit Points equal to their Constitution modifier. When the wielder make a melee weapon attack with the Chikage in Transformed State, they may add their Constituion modifier to their attack and damage rolls and if the attack hits it deals an extra 1d4 necrotic damage. The Transformed State can be exited by flicking the blood off of the blade as a bonus action. As an action, while the Chikage is in the Transformed State, the wielder can make a single attack roll, targeting up to three creatures within range. When they do so, roll up to three hit die (these are not expended), taking necrotic damage equal to the total rolled. If the attack hits, the wielder rolls 2d6 for each hit die rolled and adds it to the damage roll.

Logarius' Wheel displays its righteous intent as the evil spirits within scream in pain. It has been blessed by holy energy, dealing an extra 1d4 radiant damage to undead and fiends. When transformed into the Transformed State, the Wheel expands outward, resembling two wheels next to one another. In this state, the wielder can use a bonus action to spin the outer wheel, causing blood to spin out violently and evil spirits to wail in anguish. Spinning the wheel gives you 1 wheel charge with a maximum total of 4 wheel charges in total. These charges last for one minute after the first spin, in which all wheel charges will be lost at the end of the minute. At the beginning of the wielder's turn in which they have a wheel charge, they lose Hit Points equal to their Constitution modifier times the number of wheel charges they currently possess. When they make a melee attack with this weapon, they gain 1d8 extra bludgeoning damage per wheel charge they possess. In addition, once per turn they can regain Hit Points equal to half of the extra damage dealt. They can choose to lose all wheel charges at any time as a bonus action.

When the wielder hits a creature with a melee attack in the Transformed State, they can gain a point of Beasthood. The wielder expends a Hit Die and takes necrotic damage equal to the roll plus their Constitution modifier, this damage cannot be reduced in any way. At higher levels, the Bloodletter demands more sacrifice when used. The Bloodletter consumes two Hit Dice at 5th level, three at 11th level, and four at 17th level, with each Hit Die adding twice the wielder's Constitution modifier. The Kos Parasite in its base form cannot be used as a weapon. However, its potential can be unlocked as an action, transforming the Kos Parasite into its Default State, a bundle of tentacles that grow over the wielder's hand and forarm. This tentacle appendage is considered a melee weapon they are proficient with and deals an extra 1d4 force damage on a hit. The Transformed State harnesses the power even further, producing a similar tentacle appendage on their off hand and covering their entire head with a bundle of parasitic pustules. The wielder can take an action to launch a poison-filled pustule from their head. One creature within 15 feet must make a Constitution save or be poisoned for one minute. The DC for this ability is equal to 8 + the wielder's proficiency bonus + their Constitution modifier. Finally, the power of the Kos Parasite can unleash a shockwave while in the Transformed State. As an action, the wielder may cast Thunderwave at 1st level. The DC is 8 + the wielder's proficiency modifier + their Constitution modifier. The wielder can cast this spell in this way a number of times equal to their proficiancy bonus, before they must finish a long rest to regain all expended uses. At level 5 the wielder can cast the spell at 2nd level, at 9th level (3rd level), 13 level(4th, level), and at 17th level(5th level). ``` ```

## Rakuyo *Hunter weapon wielded by Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower.* *A trick sword originated in the same country as the Cainhurst Chikage, only this sword feeds not off blood, but instead demands great dexterity.* *Lady Maria was fond of this aspect of the Rakuyo, as she frowned upon blood blades, despite being a distant relative of the queen.* *But one day, she abandoned her beloved Rakuyo, casting it into a dark well, when she could stomach its presence no longer.* * **Weapon Proficiency:** Martial Melee * **Default State Properties:** 1d8 Slashing damage, Finesse * **Transformed State Properties:** 1d6/1d4 Slashing damage, Finesse, light, special, two-handed The Rakuyo is an odd weapon originating from the same lands as the Chikage. As an action in its Transformed State, the wielder can make a number of strikes in rapid succession. ## Bone Ash Mask *A mask made of bone ash, worn by the oldest keepers.* *The keepers, who mind the slumbering great Ones, gained eternal life, preserved in ashen form in a ceremony of flame that cremated body and soul.* *The long, pointed hat is a symbol of the old keepers and is considered evidence of their companionship, forged in a certain sin.*

## Antidote *Small medicinal tablets that counteract poison.* *Used to treat ashen blood, the baffling sickness that ravaged Old Yharnam long ago.* *These tablets only provide short-term relief. The ashen blood ailment eventually triggered the spread of the beastly scourge.* **Properties**: As a bonus action, you can ingest a tablet, this removes the poison condition, and you gain resistance to poison damage for 1 minute.

## Beast Blood Pellet *arge medicinal pellets, supposedly formed of coagulated beast blood. Banned by the Healing Church due to their unclear origin. Grants a spurt of beasthood.* *ipping apart the flesh of one's enemies and being rained upon by their splattering blood invigorates one's sense of beasthood, feeding strength and euphoric feeling alike.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can ingest the pellet, for 1 mintue when you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can gain a point of Beasthood. You may possess a maximum of 5 points, and lose 2 points if you do not attack on your turn. For every point of Beasthood, your attacks deal an additional 2 damage. You also take 1 additional point of damage for each point you possess when hit by attcks. This additional damage against you cannot be reduced in any way. ``` ```

## Blood of Adella *Blood take from Adella, nun of the Healing Church. Restores an amount of HP, then continues to gradually restore HP for a short time.* *The Healing Church nuns are chosen for their merit as vessels for blood, and groomed as Blood Saints.* *The mere chance of being treated with their blood lends legitimacy to the Healing Church and communion.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can take this special blood, regaining 2d4 hit points, then for 1 mintue at the start of each of your turns you regain an addtional 1d4 hit points.

## Blue Elixir *Dubious liquid medicine used in strange experiments conducted by high ministers of the Healing Church.* *A type of anesthetic that numbs the brain.* *Hunters, able to retain consciousness by force of will, make use of a secondary effect of the medicine, which dilutes their presence while standing still.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can ingest this medicine, for 1 mintue you gain advantage on Dexterity(Stealth) checks, additionally while under the effect of this medicine while you remain unmoving you become invisible.

## Iosefka's Blood Vial *Blood vial acquired from Iosefka's clinic.* *This refined blood, highly invigorating, restores a larger amount of HP.* *The product of a slow and careful refinement process, this rare blood vial appears to be a clinic original.*

## Numbing Mist *Throw to create a mist cloud that numbs a hunter's life essence and prevents restoration of HP.* *Said to be used by the blood hunters of Cainhurst, its recipe is a secret closely guarded by the line of nobles inhabiting the castle.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can make a ranged or thrown weapon attack against a creature you can see within 30 feet, on a hit that creature cannot regain hit points for 3 rounds.

## Oil Urn *When this urn hits its mark, the target is drenched in oil, and made extremely flammable.* *Fire is commonplace on the hunt, and oil urns accentuate its effect. Sometimes, when hunters burn beasts, they appear intoxicated by the euphoria of purification.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can make a ranged or thrown weapon attack against a creature you can see within 30 feet, on a hit that creature is covered in oil and for 1 minute the next tkme that creature takes fire damage they take an additional die of fire damage.

## Poison Knife *A knife slathered in poison.* *This curved knife is as thin and sharp as a surgeon's blade. Often used for self-defence by special doctors in the Healing Church.* *They say that hunters traditionally avoid the use of poison, likely because the poison is too slow to act in the heat of the hunt.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can throw a knife slathered in poison at a creature you can see within 30 feet, the creature must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 mintue. A poisoned creature can remake the Constitution save at the end of their turn to end the effect early, on a failed save they take 1d4 poison damage.

## Pungent Blood Cocktail *Mature blood cocktail that releases a pungent odor when thrown that attracts blood-thirsty beasts.* *A precious tool in sadly short supply.* *In Yharnam, they produce more blood than alcohol, as the former is the more intoxicating.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can thrown this cocktail to an unocupied space you can see within 30 feet, it then breaks and any Monstrosity within 60 feet must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or immediately use their reaction to move as far as their speed allows towards the now broken cocktail. ``` ```

## Sedatives *Liquid medicine concocted at Byrgenwerth.* *Calms the nerves.* *Those who delve into the arcane fall all-too-easily to madness, and thick human blood serves to calm the frayed nerves of these inquisitive minds. Naturally, this often leads to a reliance on blood ministration.*

**Properties**: As a bonus action you can ingest this medicine, for 1 mintue you gain advantage on Wisdom saving throws, addtionally you gain resistance to psychic damage.

## Shaman Bone Blade *A blade of bone coated with gruesome spinal fluid. Used by old labyrinth watchers, in particular, those presiding over rituals.* *When victim is cut by this blade, the green spinal fluid temporarily numbs the senses, disturbing the target's gross motor skills. The blade, never intended for battle, must cut deep to be effective, and breaks.*

**Properties**: As an action you can make a melee attack against a creature you can see within 5 feet, on a hit the creature is confused for 1 minute. An affected creature can't take reactions and must roll a d6 at the start of each its turns to determine its behavior for that turn. 1-2: The creature does not move or take actions this turn. 3-4: The creature uses its action to makes one melee attack against a creature that is hostile to you, or it does nothing if there is no other hostile creature within reach. 5-6: The creature can act and move normally. At the end of each of its turns the creature can make a DC 15 Wisdom save to end the effect early.

You summon the head of a gargantuan snake. Each creature in the 15-foot cube originating from you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d10 necrotic and is restrained for the duration. On a successful save the creature takes half as much damage and isn't restrained. While restrained by this spell a creature takes 1d6 poison damage at the start of it's turn, at the end of it's turn the creature must succeed a Constitution saving throw to end the restain effect. **At Higher Levels.** When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 3rd ``` ```

## Tiny Tonitrus *Tonitrus is a unique weapon crafted by Archibald, the infamous eccentric of the Healing Church workshop.* *This is a similar morning star mace that utilizes Quicksilver Bullets. When struck into the ground, it recreates the blue sparks that are said to surround the darkbeasts.* *Like Archibald's masterpiece, this too is a superb conductor of the powerful blue sparks.*

A wall of lightning forming a line 40 feet long and 10 feet wide blasts out from you in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 6d12 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful save. The lightning ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried. **At Higher Levels.** When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d12 for each slot level above 4th.
