\page ## Lamia To most, a giant snake coiling around you would be terrifying. However, to those who are friends or lovers with a Lamia know that a Lamia's coil can be surprisingly comfortable. Lamia are as diverse in their appearance as humans and snakes are. ### Lamia Traits Lamia's bodies give them natural benefits, and much of how Lamia's grow influences their abilities. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 2. ___ **Ages:** Lamia age like humans, reaching maturity at their late teens and living around a century. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 25. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common, Lamia, and one language of your choice. ___ **Coil:** When you grapple a creature, you may use your movement to *Coil* the creature. When a creature is *Coiled*, both you and the creature's speed become zero, the grappled creature has disadvantage to escape your grapple, but only you can target the creature with attacks. Any attack targeting a *Coiled* creature now attacks the Lamia. ___ **Keen Senses:** You gain proficiency with *Perception*. ___ **Darkvision:** You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. ___

``` ``` ### Common Lamia The basic Lamia you'd encounter is likely to be the common Lamia. Traditionally, they live in forested areas, though they have more recently spread out to more areas like cities and mountains. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Wisdom increases by 1. ___ **Skilled Climber:** Your common hunting tactics are to use height to ambush prey. You gain a climb speed of 25 feet. ___ **Natural Skill:** You gain proficiency with *Nature* or *Survival* due to your time naturally in the wilds.. ### Bunyip Distinct from the other Lamia species, Bunyip reside almost exclusively around and in lakes, rivers, ponds and other fresh water places. They are master ambush predators and have perfected a unique ambush strategy of lunging with incredible speed..

___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution increases by 1. ___ **River Monster:** You have a swim speed of 30 feet, and can breathe and speak underwater. ___ **Lunge:** Your physique is unique compared to lamias and are able to lunge towards people. As a bonus action, you may initiate a lunge, moving up to your speed towards a target and may use the Grapple attack. If you were in the water when you intitated the lunge, you may use your swim speed for your speed, even if lunging out of the water. \page

### Apophis A corruption of the Lamia form caused by a rare mutation, they bare the name of the titanic beast that battled the gods. Lamia born as Apophis are well known for their hypnotic abilities and incredibly venemous bite. They're known to fall to greed for power and take over towns and cities with their desires. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 1 instead of 2, and your Charisma increases by 2. ___ **Hypnotic Presence:** You know the *friends* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *charm person* spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *suggestion* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. _Charisma_ is your spellcasting ability for these spells. ___ **Aphrodisiac Venom:** You, unlike other lamias, have actual fangs that are able to inflict a potent venom onto the target. You may make a bite attack against a target, dealing 1d4 piercing damage on a hit. The target must then make a Consititution save, taking 1d6 poison damage on a failed save. If the target is coiled by you, you have advantage on the bite. The DC for the Constitution save is 8 plus your Proficiency Modifier plus your Charisma modifier. The poison damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6). ___

### Basilisk Similar to the Apophis, the basalisk is a corruption of the lamia form through a rare mutation, granting them a lesser form of power that the Medusa is known for. Their gaze can stop a person in place for a time. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Intelligence increases by 1. ___ **Superior Darkvision:** Your darkvision increases to 120 feet. ___ **Stunning Gaze:** You can turn the full force of your gaze on a target. The creature makes a Wisdom save, and on a failure, their speed is reduced to 0 as long as you maintain the focus, a number of rounds equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1). You may use this ability a number of times equal to your Proficiency modifier, and regain all uses after a long rest. The DC for the save is 8 plus your Profieciency modifier plus your Intelligence Modifier. ___ **Powerful Eyes:** Your species are hard to fool with magic. You have advantage on saveing throws against illusions. ___ **Additional Language:** You can read, write and speak Undercommon \page ## Minotaur Strong and hulking, Minotaurs and their subvariants are all known for their power and stature. However, they are likely the most desperate in mentality between their variants. ### Minotaur Traits **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution increases by 1. ___ **Ages:** Minotaurs mature at their late teens, but tend to live only about 80 years. Live fast and strong! ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 30 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and Minotaur. ___ **Unending Stamina:** Your stamina is unending. You may regain 1d10 plus your Constitution modifier in Health Points once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. ___ **Horns:** All the species of Minotaur are gifted with horns. Your horns are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

### Common Minotaur The common species one thinks of as a minotaur, these beasts are strong, sturdy, and ready to brawl. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 2. ___ **Large Frame:** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. ___ **Goring Charge:** If you move in a straight line towards a creature, moving a minimum of 20 feet during this, you may make a horn attack as a bonus action. If the target is Large or smaller, the target must make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + Proficiency Modifier + Strength Modifier) or be pushed ten feet away. ___ **Darkvision:** Your people are known for living in dark labyrinths, and your eyes are adjusted to the darkness. You can see up to 60 feet in total darkness, but only in shades of grey. ___ **Expert Navigators:** You have proficiency in *Survival* and have advantage on all checks made to navigate through caves and mazes. ___ **Minotuar Weapon Training:** You are considered proficient with Greataxes, Warhammers, Battleaxes, and Mauls.

### Holstaurs A more docile minotaur subset, they are incredibly common to see in farming villages helping growing plentiful crops and providing high quality milk to aid their friends and lovers. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution and Wisdom increase by 1. ___ **Domesticated Charm:** Due to being so closely related to non-monsterfolk, you've learned how to be charming. You are proficient with *Persuasion*. \page **Holstaur Milk:** Your species proudces large quantities of milk, and that milk is incredibly nutrious. During a short rest, you may spend one of your hit die and use its result to heal another creature during the short rest by letting them drink your milk. You may only do this once per short rest and a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, regaining all uses on a long rest. ___

### Hakutaku Standing out agaisnt their cousins, Hakutaku's excel at mental prowess instead of physical. Their knowledge is said to be unmatched when it comes to other monster folk. They live in libraries together, educating themselves endlessly. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Intelligence increases by 2. ___ **Well Educated:** You gain proficiency in History and one of your choice: Arcana, Nature or Religion. When using these two skills, you may double your proficiency bonus whenever using them to recall information on a Mamono-infused creature. ___ **Guiding Teacher:** You are experienced with educating and teaching others, knowing the best ways to guide others. You know the *Guidance* cantrip. _Intelligence_ is your spellcasting ability for it. ___ **Bonus Languages:** You gain one additional language of your choice. ___ > ##### Holstaur Milk > Holstaur milk can be stored, but it loses its healing property very quickly. That is to say, while you can milk Holstaurs and store it, the healing ability is only usable if its fresh and "from the tap." \page ## Slimes An interesting race of beings, Slimes are sentient goo in many different forms that live in a wide variety of places. There is almost always a slime for a region. Never doubt this fact, for a foolhardy adventurer thinking their safe from the slimes, before being ambushed by one. Slimes, luckily for most folk, are pretty docile. ### Slime Traits **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution increases by 2. ___ **Ages:** Slimes reach maturity at an incredibly young age of 10 and can live centuries. No one has ever seen a slime die of old age. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 25. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write, and speak Common and Slime. ___ **Encapsulating Embrace:** If you currently have a creature grappled, you may spend an action to encapsulate them in your slimey body, making another Grapple check. If they fail, they are Encapsulated. Any creature Encapsulated by you now has disadvantage to attack rolls, but your speed becomes 0. You can use a bonus action on an Encapsulated creature to assault them lewdly, dealing 1d6 psychic damage. ___ **Sticky Body:** You have a climb speed of 25 feet, and may climb on walls and roofs without using your hands. ___

### Blue Slime The most common slime, Blue Slimes are the humans of the diverse slime families. Diverse in experience and homes, Blue Slimes are everywhere from fields to mountians to deep dungeons. They are nearly inescapable because of this. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** One ability score except for Constitution increases by 1. ___ **Varied Life:** You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice: _Survival_, _Arcana_, _Medicine_, or _History_. ___ **Defensive Stickiness:** Blue Slimes have a unique talent of being able to use their stickiness to attempt to catch their opponents offguard. As a reaction when you are damaged, you may attempt to disarm a person if they use a weapon, or grapple them if they are using natural or unarmed strikes. You may use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, regaining all uses on a short or long rest. ___ **Simplistic Minds:** Due to your nature, your a little simpler then most other slimes. You have disadvantage on _Insight_ checks to determine if someone is lying, but gain advantage on saving throws against magic that would *charm* or *frighten* you.. \page

### Nureonago A particularly advanced slime, their ability to shapeshift is unmatched in the slime family. They are able to hold their slime into fancy clothes and hair, looking almost human. They are able to do this by using a special ink like substance in their slime. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 1. ___ **Ink Reshaping:** As an action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight, but not so much that your size changes. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can't duplicate the appearance of a creature you've never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. You may change the appearance of your "clothes" by imitating their appearance. ___ You stay in the new form until you use an action to revert to your true form or until you die. Due to the nature of your disguise, your clothes will always appear wet, meaning you will have disadvantage on convincing someone you are someone else without good reason for your soaked nature. However, due to this, touching you does not immediately reveal the transformation. ___ **Natural Liar:** You are proficient in *Deception*.

### Sea Slime Slimes that take a form of a jellyfish, they float through the sea in pods. Occasionally you will find them pushed onto land due to rough waves or natural curiosity. Their forms are surprisingly solid for a slime. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Wisdom increases by 1. ___ **Consistent Form:** Your speed increases by 5 feet. ___ **Paralytic Tendrils:** When you have a creature *Encapsulated*, you can use your action to inject them with a paralytic poison. The target makes a Constitution saving throw, and if they fail, they become *poisoned* for 1 minute. They repeat the saving throw at the beginning of their turns. You may use this ability an amount of times equal to your proficiency modifier. You regain all uses on a long rest. ___ Your Paralytic Tendrils DC is 8 plus your Proficiency Modifier plus your Constitution modifier. ___ **Aquatic Form:** You gain a swim speed of 30 feet. \page

### Slime Parasite A particularly weak slime, they must bond with a host to survive. In this way, the are a truly strong slime, as they can perfectly hide in a human society. They can be nigh undetectable if not for how their host will end up beginning to act. They are able to use some of the intelligence of their host, making them some of the smartest slimes. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Intelligence increases by 1. ___ **Possessive Form:** Your form is a small slime ball that can infest a host body. You appear as human to divination and other forms of detection. You cannot transfer hosts. ___ **Tuck Away:** You can completely hide your slime nature inside of your host. As a reaction to being attacked, you may reveal your slime nature to an unaware creature to catch them off guard, making a grapple attack at advantage. ___ **Mindfuck:** When you have a creature trapped, you can violate their mind directly. When you have a creature _Encapsulated_, you may use your action to begin to violate their mind sexually. The target makes a Wisdom saving throw, and if they fail, they become _Charmed_ for 1 minute, and while _charmed_ this way they will not attempt to escape your grapple. They repeat the saving throw at the beginning of their turns. You may use this ability an amount of times equal to your proficiency modifier. You regain all uses on a long rest. ___ Your Mindfuck DC is 8 plus your Proficiency Modifier plus your Intelligence modifier.

### Shoggoth A corrupted perversion of the slime form, the Shoggoth is a creature made to serve an ancient evil that once lived in the world. A servant of unparrallel proportions, Shoggoths are the ultimate maids. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 1. ___ **Maidly Skills:** You gain proficiency with Chefs' Utensils. ___ **Amorphous Tools:** Your body can imitate any tool kits with which you are proficient as long as you are not _stunned._ ___ **Shoggoth's Embrace:** When you *Encapsulate* a creature, your monsterous traits can overwhelm a creature. The target makes a Wisdom saving throw, and if they fail, they become *frightened* of you for a minute. While *frightened* in this way, the creature has disadvantage on escaping the grapple. They repeat the saving throw at the beginning of their turns. You may use this ability an amount of times equal to your proficiency modifier. You regain all uses on a long rest. ___ Your Shoggoth's Embrace DC is 8 plus your Proficiency Modifier plus your Charisma modifier. ___ \page

### Dark Slime A rare mutation of a slime that corrupts the form of the slime, they have a core that makes them potent with innate magics. They can also make smaller slime balls that they seem to be able to control like tendrils. ___ **Ability Score Increase:** Your Intelligence increases by 1. ___ **Slime Core:** You know the *Sapping Sting* cantrip. At 3rd level, you can cast *Chaos Bolt* as a 2nd level spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Once you reach 5th level, you can also cast the *Tasha's Mind Whip* spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. _Intelligence_ is your spellcasting ability for these spells. ___ **Already Corrupt:** You have resistance to psychic damage. ___ **Slimy Minion:** You can create a small ball of slime with a face that stretches out as a tendril from you. It can squeeze through gaps up to an inch in size, and you can use its senses to see. It can only get 30 feet away from you at any time. ___ The Slime Minion has 1 hit point and cannot attack or use any actions. If a minion dies, you take 1 damage. ___ You can create a number of minions up to your Constitution modifier ever long rest, and they only emerge when you use them. They cannot be targeted by attacks unless they are out and in use.

### Bubble Slime Bubble Slimes are notoriously depressive and mopey. They struggle to find the motivation to do much, and their form struggles to maintain consistency due to this. This has lead them to living in areas like sewers and swamps, and their slime has become somewhat imbued with the acidic nature of their homes ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 1. ___ **Not So Solid:** Your form is so loose you can squeeze through gaps up to an inch in size. ___ **Noxious Bubble:** You know the cantrip Acid Splash. Constitution is your casting stat for it. ___ **Inconsistent Form:** When someone thinks they've struck a serious vital organ, your form shifts. Once per long rest, you may turn one critical hit into a normal hit. ___ **Acidic Consumption:** Your acidic and bubbling form tears at even metal. In place of a ration, you can consume five pound of inanimate material. This digestion is slow, but it is still powerful. ___ Additionally, when you have a creature grappled, they take 1 point of acid damage at the beginning of their turn. If they are *Encapsulated*, they instead take 1d4 acid damge. \page ## Constructs A broad term for beings who are more made then born, Construct Monster Folk are odd. Some are ancient machines with advanced magic used in their construction while others are twisted forms of other peoples creations. ___ The effects of Mamono on these contstructs has made them able to reproduce with normal mortals, however, they are incapable of bearing children. It also leads to quirks due to its corruption. ___ > ##### The Problem of Ancient Beings A important note to be aware of for constructs is how many of them are from ancient races and places. It is entirely possible for your character to still remember these times, but a suggestion to make it easier on yourself and the DM would to be consider having your construct have some reason for not remembering entirely all the ancient memories. > > The reasoning can be quite simple due to a trait of all Monster Folk. Corruption is relatively new, so when you were corrupted with Mamono, perhaps you lost most of your memories. > > Obviously, this is up to you as a player and your DM, as is everything in DND. Talk with your DM about anything you want to do with the character first, of course. ### Construct Traits **Ability Score Increases:** You increase one ability score that your subrace does not increase by one. ___ **Ages:** Being artificially created, their considered mature upon their awakening and can live for centuries. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 30 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and one language of your choice. ___ **Construtcted Nature:** Being a created creature, you are incredibly resilient and don't need to rest. - You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage. - You don't need to eat, drink, or breathe. - You are immune to disease. - You don't need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep. ___ **Sentient Sleep:** When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn't render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal. ___

### Automaton A highly advanced construct from the past, Automatons are equipped with natural weaponry that allows them to aid their masters in powerful ways. While many attach to individual masters , some have the independance to become adventurers. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Dexterity increases by 2. ___ **Combat Chassis:** You have resistance to fire, cold and bludgeoning damage, but you are vulnerable to lightning damage. If you take lightning damage, you must make a DC 15 Constitution save or become *Stunned* until the end of your next turn. ___ **Arcanotech Cannon:** You have a built in cannon that you can use for self defense. You may use it when making an attack, making a ranged attack roll up to 60 feet away, dealing 1d6 force damage on a hit. ___ **Lust Engine:** Due to the corruption to your power core, you experience lust in odd ways. When you take psychic damage, you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If you fail, you experience the following effects. - Your Arcanotech Cannon now deals psychic damage. - You have disadvantage on saving throws against _charm_ spells. ___ This effect lasts until you take a short or long rest, in which your core is able to reset during the downtime. \page

### Golem Whether it be an ancient tomb or an artificer's workshop, Golems are far more common then the Automaton cousins. Their forms shaped from clay and fueled by magic and mamono, they exist to serve. Rarely, some are able to gain their own sentience. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 2. ___ **Command Runes:** Due to your art of creation, you are hard to command. You have advantage against all *charm* effects, except for if someone spends one hour writing their name into your command runes, at which point you automatically fail all saving throws against *charm* effects from that creature. ___ Another creature can remove a name from your command runes over the course of an hour. ___ **Golem Physique:** Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage plus your strength modifier, and creatures have disadvantge to resist being pushed by you. ___ **Powerful Build:** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. ``` ```

### Gargoyle Statues given life by raw mamono, Gargoyles are fully sentient and never have masters. They are skillful ambush predators, using their natural statue-like natures to catch foes offguard. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 2. ___ **Stoney Wings:** Your wings are heavy, but fueled by mamono, you can fly. You gain a 20 foot fly speed. ___ **Sunlight Sensetivity:** Your a creature of the night, and the sun isn't your friend. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight. ___ **Like Stone:** You are able to become like stone. While hiding in stoney enviroments, you have advantage on *Stealth* checks. ___ Additionally, you may attempt to pass yourself off as a statue. A close inspection using _Investigation_ contested by your _Deception_ can reveal your ruse. ___ **Stone Talons:** Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. \page ## Centaurs Unlike their uncorrupted brothern, Mamono Centaurs are their own beasts. Diverse as they are, all centaurs share some connection with nature. However, that might not entirely be due to a innate draw but their size making it hard for them to exist inside towns normally. ### Centaur Traits **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Centaurs age at a similar rate to humans, and live around 100 years. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 35 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and Sylvan. ___ **Hooves:** Your hooves are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. ___ **Equine Build:** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push or drag. ___ In addition, any climb that requires hands and feet is especially difficult for you because of your equine legs. When you make such a climb, each foot of movement costs you 4 extra feet, instead of the normal 1 extra foot. ___ **Ride Along;** Due to your build, you are able to allow others to ride on your back. As long as a creature is medium sized and does not have the Equine Build trait, they may mount on your back as normal for a horse, but you still control your movement. Only one creature may ride on your back at a time. ___ > ##### Base Centaur Vs Mamono Centaur > I, the creator of this document, am very much aware of the existance of base centaurs. The existance of Centaurs in this homebrew is to flesh out the idea of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia style of centaurs, and not providing a base race centaur to contrast against the other subraces would make no sense. > > In the case of quite a few MGE entries, they were entirely ignored due to being entirely just core races, but centaurs are included here in this form to allow the usage of the other subclasses and having a normal centaur subrace is to maintain this design philosphy.

### Common Centaur The most common centaur type and their namesake, Centaurs are natural explorers and warriors. They ride hard and defend their home skillfully with harring tactics. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Dexterity increases by 2. ___ **Centaur Weapon Training:** You are proficient with shortbows, longbows, short swords and spears. ___ **Naturalist:** You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: _Animal Handling_, _Medicine_, _Nature_, or _Survival_. ___ **Nomadic Conditioning:** You have spent much time moving place to place, and its made you tough and hardy for moving about. You can move twice the normal amount of time (up to 16 hours) each day before being subject to the effect of a forced march, and when subhected to a forced march, you remove one hour off the amount of time for the sake of the exhaustion roll DC. \page

### White Horn A centaur who makes their home naturally in frigid cold regions, they work to help travelers lost in the cold. Their natural body heat can keep those they ferry warm even in fierce blizzards. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Constitution increases by 1 and your Strength increases by 1. ___ **Frigid Roamer:** You have resistance to cold damage, and can share your immunity to the Extreme Cold hazard with anyone who rides on your back. ___ **Snow Hooves:** Your hooves are naturally skilled at moving through snow. You are unaffected by difficult terrain caused by snow and ice, natural or magical. ___ **Rescuer:** You are able to carry more people then most centaurs. You can carry two creatures on your back using your _Ride Along_ feature with no penalty. ___ **Warm Blooded:** Due to your naturally warm body, you have disadvantage on all saving throws made against Extreme Heat, and you must still make rolls even if your wearing warm weather gear.

### Nightmare A centaur who has a deep connection to the realm of dreams, when corrupted by Mamono, they became the spirtual minds they are now, manipulating dreams at their whim. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Wisdom increases by 2. ___ **Walker of Dreams:** You are a walker of the realm of dreams. Magical effects cannot put you to sleep, and magical effects can not affect your dreams unless you allow them too. ___ **Dream Magic:** You can cast the _Encode Thoughts_ cantrip. At 3rd level, you can cast *Sleep* as a second level spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. At 5th level, you can cast *Detect Thoughts* once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. *Wisdom* is your casting stat for these spells. ___ **Enter Dreams:** You can project into another beings dreams. ### Unicorn A maiden of purity, their natural purity has maintained their sense of good despite the corruption of mamono in their systems. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 2. ___ **Pure of Heart:** You have advantage against effects that give the *charm* condition. ___ **Maiden of Light:** You can cast the *Dancing Lights* cantrip. At level 3, you can cast the *Faerie Fire* spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. At level 5, you can cast the *Moonbeam* spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. _Charisma_ is your casting stat for these spells. ___ **Heart of Purity:** You are proficient with *Insight*.

### Bicorn A unicorn who has lost their purity, their connection to good and light has been totally corrupted and they give in to their corruption. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Charisma increases by 2. ___ **Impure of Heart:** You have advantage against effects that give the *frightened* condtion. ___ **Lady of Corruption:** You can cast the *Toll the Dead* Cantrip. At level 3, you can cast the *Arms of Hadar* spell at 2nd level once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. At level 5, you can cast the *Shadow Blade* spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. _Charisma_ is your casting stat for these spells. ___ **Heart of Impurity:** You are proficient in *Deception*. \page ## Harpy Flying monster folk, harpies roam the skies, living their lives free of concern. Normally, harpies are not inherently hostile, but during mating season they can become overwhelmed by their desires. ### Harpy Traits **Ability Score Increases:** Your Dexterity increases by 2. ___ **Age:** Harpies reach maturity at 16 for most subspecies, but have different life spans. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 25 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and Auran. ___ **Wings:** Your wings grant you flight, but heavy weight can stop them. You have a 35 foot fly speed. You can't use your flying speed while you wear medium or heavy armor. ___ **Harpy Talons:** Your talons allow you to carry great weights. You may carry a Medium sized or smaller creature while flying without loosing any flight speed. ___ Additionally, your talons are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. ___ > ##### Harpies and Weapons > Harpies traditionally lack hands, meaning they might conceptually seem odd to allow as a race. However, it is my suggestion as the homebrewer that DMs allow harpies to use their talons to hold weapons or simply have harpies have taloned hands on their wings, similar to Griffons (detailed later). > > As a DM, be aware that punishing a player for using odd or unorthodox character concepts is antithetical to my entire design philosphy as a DM and Homebrewer. If you intend to include penalties for this race, discuss them before hand with the players so that it is known.

### Common Harpy The most common harpy, they love to live among humans and help with many different things, working any number of jobs from luggage carrying to construction jobs. They do have a general weakness however. Their heat cycle can be used against them, and it makes them very susceptible to mental attack. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Common harpy reach maturity at 16 and live around 100 years for their average lifespan. ___ **Kind Heart:** You have proficiency with *Persuasion*. ___ **Powerful Flight:** Due to the powerful beat of your wings, you can lift heavy objects. While carrying items in flight, your considered one size larger then you are. ___ **Sharp Kicks:** Your talons now deal 1d6 damage instead of 1d4. ___ **Heat Cycle:** Your species suffers from a heat cycle that can be manipulated against you. Whenever you take psychic damage, you must make a Concentration check as if you were concentrating on a spell. If you fail, your heat cycle is kicked off. You have disadvantage against *charm* effects while in heat. ___ Your heat cycle, due to being kicked off unnaturally, only lasts 1d4 rounds. \page

### Black Harpy A rarer and more vicious sub-species of harpies, Black Harpies are sometimes called the hawks of harpy cultures due to their vicious hunting techniques. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Intelligence increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Black Harpies reach maturity at age 18 and live to an average of 100 years. ___ **Fast Fliers:** Your naturally faster at flying then other subspecies. Your fly speed increases by 5 feet. ___ **Sky Drop:** You can rapidly drop on a target to force them to the ground hard. As an action, you may charge from the air into a target, moving at least 20 feet before making an attack with your talons. On a hit, you roll your talon damage twice (meaning 2d4 on a normal hit or 4d6 on a crit) and the target must make a Strength saving throw against a DC equal to 8 plus proficiency modifier plus your Dexterity modifier. On a fail, they are knocked prone and cannot make reactions until the end of their next turn. ___ **Tactical Withdrawl:** Your people have perfected a style of hit and run tactics. You can use the *Disengage* action as a bonus action while flying.

### Siren The energetic harpy relative, these small birdfolk are exceptionally gifted singers, using their magical voices to score crowds and attention. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Sirens reach maturity at 16 years, and live an average life span of 80 years, their shorter life span giving them great wanderlust. ___ **Size:** Your size is Small. ___ **Weaker Frame:** Due to your smaller size, you cannot carry Medium sized or larger creatures using your Harpy Talon feature. Your fly speed is reduced to 30 feet. ___ **Siren's Call:** As an action, you may begin a Siren Song. Every creature within 30 feet of you that is able to hear you must make a *Charisma* saving throw against a DC of 8 plus your proficiency plus your Charisma modifier, becoming *charmed* by you until the end of their next turn on a failed save. While *charmed* in this way, a creature may only move towards you. ___ This ability cannot be used if you are not able to speak verbally. This ability is not usable through mental communication in any sense. ___ **Natural Performers:** You have proficiency with the *Performance* skill. \page

### Jubjubs A form of harpies that are hyper corrupted by an entity called "The Queen of Hearts", they are constantly in heat unlike other harpies. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Charisma increases by 2. ___ **Age:** Jubjubs reach maturity at 16 and live for an average of 200 years. ___ **Eternal Heat:** You have disadvantage on all saving throws against *charm* effects. ___ **Poor Flight Form:** Due to the corruption from the Queen of Hearts, your body isnt good at flying. Your fly speed becomes 25, but your base speed increases by 5. ___ **Lovey Dovey:** Your body is naturally cuddlable. When you make a grapple attempt, you may use *Persuasion* instead of *Athletics*. ___ **Queen's Benediction:** The spell cast on your species by the Queen of Hearts has its benefits. You know the *Friends* cantrip, and may cast *Charm* once using this feature, regaining its use on a long rest. Your casting stat for these spells is _Charisma_. ___ Additionally, you may grant yourself advantage on one *Charisma* skill check once, regaining use of this ability after a long rest.

### Cockatrice A flightless harpy subrace, their lithe frame and powerful frame make them incredibly fast runners. ___ **Ability Score Increase:** Your Strength increases by 1. ___ **Flightless:** You lose your flight speed and ability to carry creatures using Harpy Talons. Your base speed increases by 10. ___ **Scaredy Chickens:** You hate being near anything hostile if you can help it. You may use Dash as a bonus action on your turn, but all movement on your turn must be made away from hostile creatures. ___ Additionally, due to your natural anxiety, you struggle in crowds. While in a crowded enviroment, you have disadvantage on *Deception* and *Intimidation* tactics. ___ **Petrifying Gaze:** The ultimate escape tactic, you can freeze a creature in place. You can cast *Hold Person* once, regaining the use of this feature on a long rest. Wisdom is your casting stat for this spell. ___ **Natural Athlete:** You are proficient in _Athletics_, and double your proficiency bonus in *Atheletics* when using it to attempt to run away or escape. \page

### Thunderbird A rare harpy subspecies with the power of lightning, they are wild and energetic and quick to strick, like a clap of thunder and flash of lightning. ___ **Ability Score Increase:** Your Wisdom increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Thunderbirds reach maturity at 18, and live an average lifespan of 2000 years, though this is an estimate, as no one has ever seen a Thunderbird grow old. ___ **Crack of Lightning:** You have the power of lightning! You know the *Shocking Grasp* and *Thunderwave* spells. You can cast Thunderwave without expending a spell slot, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it this way again. You can also cast this spell using any spell slots you have. Your spellcasting ability for these spells is Wisdom. ___ Additionally, your Harpy Talons now deal 1d6 damage and may deal lightning damage instead of slashing. ___ **Never Strikes Twice:** Despite the saying, lightning commonly strikes the same place twice, and you are no different. When you land a hit with your Harpy's Talons, you may use a bonus action to attack the same creature again. This strike must deal lightning damage.

### Owl Mage A secluded and quiet harpy subspecies, these studious folk excel at magics, having a natural knack for the stuff. ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Intelligence increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Owl Mages reach maturity at 16, and live an average lifespan of 200 years. ___ **Darkvision:** You can see in dim light within 90 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. ___ **Magically Gifted:** Your people are excellent at magic. You know one wizard cantrip of your choice. At 3rd level, you learn one wizard spell of 1st level and are able to cast it once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. At 5th level, you learn one wizard spell of 2rd level or lower and are once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Intelligence is your casting stat for these spells. ___ If you have any spell slots, you may use those to cast your chosen spells. ___ **Knowledge of Arcane:** You are proficient with the _Arcana_ skill. \page ## Kobolds Unlike traditional kobolds, Mamono infused kobolds have far more dog-like traits then reptilian. Naturally subservant, Mamono Kobolds attach to people with remarkable quickness and love to help those they call their Masters. ___ ### Kobold Traits Kobolds have the following traits: ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Dexterity increases by 2 and your Charisma increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Kobolds reach physical maturity at the young age of twelve, but do not reach sexual maturity until 18. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. ___ **Devoted Soul:** You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the charmed condition on yourself. ___ **Master!:** At the end of a long rest, you may choose an ally to be considered your *Master*. You gain a number of benefits to aiding your Master, but these benefits may only be applied to your Master. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. When you use the *Help* action, you may use it as a bonus action when using it to aid your Master or to target a creature adjacent to your Master. ___ Starting at 3rd level, when you use the *Help* action on your Master, you may apply one of the benefits listed below. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. ___ **Keeper of Life and Death:** Your species is well known for their control over the realm between life and death. You know the *Spare the Dying* cantrip. At level 3, you may cast the *Cure Wounds* spell as a 2nd-level spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. At level 5, you may cast the *Gentle Repose* spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. ___ **Pierce the Veil:** Starting at 3rd level, your connection to the realm between life and death strengthens greatly, allowing you to momentarily channel an aspect of the divine being Anubis. ___ As an action, you can allow divine energies to pool within you. For the next minute, you are able to use a bonus action on your turn to determine the number of hit points a creature has remaining as long as it is not a construct or undead. Additionally, when you cast *Spare the Dying* using *Keeper of Life and Death*, the spell has a 30 foot reach. ___ Once you use this trait, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest. ___ **Divine Past:** Due to your connection to divine beings, you understand religionous topics easier. You are proficient in *Religion*. ___

___ > ##### Pierce The Veil Notes > Pierce the Veil is a very unique ability and explaining it could be hard, on top of the ability to effectively be able to tell how much more damage a creature could take. > > As for explaining it, a simple description is while using the ability, Anubises can see a flickering flame that reflects the creatures soul. > > As for the balancing of seeing a creatures health, knowing how much more a boss can take isn't exactly a incredibly powerful ability past knowing how much more in sense of possible resource expendature it could cost to continue. \page ## Cancer A creature with the lower body of a crab, similar in a sense to centaurs, these beings are incredibly powerful with their frames, but their oddest trait is their obsessive nature for cleaning. ### Cancer Traits As a Cancer, you gain the following traits: ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength increases by 2 and your Wisdom increases by 1. ___ **Age:** Cancers reach maturity at the age of 18 and can leave up to a thousand years on average. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 30 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and Aquan. ___ **Waterborn:** You are able to breath underwater as naturally as in air. ___ **Powerful Claws:** Your claws are natural weapons and you can use them in place of unarmed strikes, dealing 1d6 slashing damage plus your Strength modifier instead of normal unarmed damage. ___ Additionally, when you hit with your claws, you may use your bonus action to immediately attempt a Grapple check on the target if they of one size larger then you or smaller. ___ Your claws cannot wield weapons. ___ **Cleansing Suds:** Your species produces a naturally powerful cleaning substance. As an action, you can clean all filth and odors in a 5 foot cube quickly by spraying these suds in the area. Traces of the suds last for 1d4 rounds before vanishing as if they had never been there. ___ When used on a creature, the provide a soft pleasing sensation, and makes any attempt to detect the creature via scent made at disadvantage for the next hour. ___ **Hardback Plating:** Your hard plating provides exceptional protection. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor. ___ **Large Frame:** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. ___

\page ## Soldier Beetle A natural tank, these beasts of battle are able to shrug powerful blows with natural armor and fight back with incredibly powerful natural weapons. ### Soldier Beetle Traits As a Soldier Beetle, you gain the following traits: ___ **Ability Score Increases:** Your Strength and Constitution increases by 2. ___ **Age:** Soldier Beetles reach physical maturity at 12, but reach sexual maturity at 18. Soldier Beetles live an average of 80 years. ___ **Size:** Your size is Medium. ___ **Speed:** Your base speed is 30 feet. ___ **Languages:** You can read, write and speak Common and Sylvan. ___ **Spiderwalk:** You have a 30 foot climb speed, and may climb along walls and ceilings without using your hands. ___ **Bulky Carapace:** Your natural carapace is bulky and makes armor awkward to wear, but provides naturally powerful protection. Your carapace gives you a base AC of 17 (your Dexterity modifier doesn't affect this number). You gain no benefit from wearing armor due to your carapace. You may still gain the benefits from a shield. ___ **Natural Armaments:** As a Soldier Beetle, you have natural armaments. You always have a shield you can use, and pick one of the armaments below as your main natural armament. - *Scissor Arm*: You have a large scissor like blade. This natural weapon deals 1d8 slashing damage plus your Strength modifier. - *Lance Arm*: You have a large lance like weapon. This natural weapon deals 1d6 piercing damage plus your Strength modifier and has a reach of 10 feet. - *Tower Shield*: Yout natural weapon is a large towering shield. Your natural shield is now a +1 shield, and you can bash an enemy with it for 1d6 bludgeoning damage plus your Strength modifier. ___ **Primal Fear:** Fire has always been a powerful weapon against insects, and a innate fear shakes your core. When a creature damages you with fire, or moving towards a space with 5 foot or more of fire, you must make a *Wisdom* saving throw as if you are concentrating (10 or half of the damage, whichever is higher) or become *frightened* until the end of your next turn. While frightened in this way, you must spend your movement moving away from the source of fire. ___
