He's roamed the world for many years, and has in his travels recolected many histories and marked many wondrous landmarks. In this book we have compended many of those places, in hope that you can also unravel the mysteries and relive the experiences of traveling throught the cosmos. ## Using this Book Written mainly for Dungeon Masters, this book offers options to enhance campaigns in any world, whether you're adventuring in the Forgotten Realms, another official D&D setting, or a world of your own creation. The options here build on the official rules contain edwithin the Player's Handbook, the Monster Manual, and the Dungeon Master's Guide. This book compends many locations for players to visit and for DMs to build upon, each location will come with phisical descriptions, NPCs and plotlines. The DM may use them as written or change whatever they see fit. This doesn't mean they are using the Book wrong, the DM is the conductor of the world and stage.

\page # Sands Of Geon An endless sea of sand dunes, home to many sanctuaries for the outlaws, the scoundrels, and of course, *the slavers.*
Those who dare venture inside the grasp of this inhospitable land must prepare for its scorching heat, difficult terrain, and overall hostility towardsall living things. If you decide to enter this hell, you must have water with you at all times. As few as a few hours without proper hydration can prove deadly in this moor. Apart from the total lack of water, the Sands of Geon are home to many dangers born from the desert. Whatever the case, the air is particularly less arid. For the duration of the Humid Air, party water comsumption is halved.
### Clouds The Sands are not devoid of a water cycle, and every so often, some clouds may bless the passing travelers. Until the clouds disperse, the party's movement speed gains a 50% increase.
### Cold Moons Many expert cosmologyst have called this event an "Eclipse". The locals, however, call it a Cold Moon. One of the celestial bodies orbiting the Dune Sea has eclipsed their twin, causing the temperatures to drop drasticaly for a few hours. **Opportunistic predators**: Although confused, many of the night-dweling critters that inhabit the Sands will take this cold opportunity to hunt. Roll an encounter from the night table. \column ### Sandstorm Winds are no weird occurrance in the Sands of Geon, and when a big enough ammount of sand is picked up by the winds, a Sandstorm will ensue. While traveling under the effects of a Sandstorm, any party will have their **passive perception halved**, as well as having a -4 in any perception roll. Additionally, if the party is traveling by foot, their movement is also halved. If the party is using any type of enhanced transport, it being steeds or mechanical/arcane alternatives, this last effect can be ignored. ### Heavy Sandstorm Same principle as normal Sandstroms, but twice as deadly. Seeing and trying to distinguish a shape from the flying sand becomes almost impossible. Any party will have their **passive perception reduced to 5 + mod**, as well as having dissadvantage in any perception or ranged attack roll. Unless the party is traveling by advanced mechanical/arcane means, their movement will be halved. ### Mass Crystal Formation Under the influence of the tyranical heat of the desert, and with the help of some wild magic surges from under the ley lines, some zones of the Sands are known for crystalizing under traveler's feet. The pary movement is unaffected unless traveling by arcane means. If this is the case, the party's movement is reduced by 2d4x10 feet per hour, as the Geon crystals drain the arcane energy from the air. **Arcana drainage**: For every 2 hours a spellcaster remains within a Mass Crystal formation, they must succed a saving throw of their corresponding spellcasting atrribute (DC 15) or lose 1, 1d4 spell slot.*

### Heatwave Only applicable during day. As if the usual heat of the Sands wasn't enough, traveling parties sometimes have to withstand with even more heat. As per recordings of *The Hive*, temperatures in the desert have reached as far as 68ºC **Dehydration**: Without proper clothing, the deser alone can kill adventurers simply by draining them of their water. When under the effects of Heatwaves, the party's water consumption is doubled. ### Moving Sands Something moves underground, moving the dunes with violent force and endangering everyone traversing the Sands. If the party is traveling on top of a mechanical land transport, they must succed a constitution saving throw (DC 10) or be pushed off the construct. If 3 or more medium creatures are pushed off, a Geon Sandworm or a pack of Geon Duna spiders may emerge from the sands. *(See random encounters on page XXX)* \page ## Dehydration The desert is treacherous, and it will wear you down. One of the main wais it achieves this, is Dehydration. While traveling the Sands, the party will consume ten ounces of water per hour (if no enviormental conditions are present).
If a creature spends 2 hours without Hydration, they will star gaining levels of exhaustion.. And for every hour they spend without water, they must succed a Wisdom Saving Throw or suffer the effects of hallucination. >

## Dwellers of the Dune Sea The Sands are a hostile place on their own, and to top this, many hostile creatures roam this scorched dunes, from the Duna spiders to the Hive Hunters. ``` ```

### Duna Spiders A particularly agile race of giant spiders covered in furless chitin that dwelves under the sand during the day, and emerges to hunt during the night. They are feared for their use of pack tactics, where one spider will attempt to restrain their pray while others attack it relentlessly.

### Geon DuneWorm The fear of all desert travelers an the nightmare of every trade caravan. This ravenous creature jumps from the sand to engulf its pray in a quick, brutal succecion. There exist tales of a lone blood hunter that managed to tame one of the devouring beasts, its verasisty, however, is higlhy debatable.

(Only during ascending turn) The target can do a dexterity saving throw (DC 15) to take half damage. > > ***Tremor.*** *Enviormental Attack:* 15ft. sphere, Affected creatures must succed a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. (Only during underground tunr) > > ***Engulf.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* one target. *Hit* target must succed a DC 10 dexterity saving throw or be eaten by the Worm. Once inside the worm, if the creature succedes a DC 15 dexterity check, it may exit the Worm during the next overground turn.

\page "AS COLD AS YOUR CARCASS MAY FEEL, YOU AND I *both know that you and your people aren't as hard as steel, and your heart still pums blood as any other mortal. We have more in common that you realize"* # Hive Daughters The queens of the sands, the daugthers of Geon, the hands of the Hive. These chitin-skinned humanois roam the Sands since before any kind of civilization had risen, and have taken to living in huge underground colonies known as Hives. Contrary to popular belief, the Hive Daughters are fully sentient despite their almost feral behavior, which is only a consequence of the harsh enviorment of the desert. ## Psychicaly Stratified Society

Hive societies are quite simple; on top of the chain of any given Hive there's a Hive Queen, a powerful psyionic caster that commands the Hive via a psychic link. Though this link is not overly hostile in its nature, a Hive Queen may chose to overtake control of a Hiveling at any given moment, gaining complete control of the host's motor functions. However, after this exchange the target brain will have suffered considerable damage, and after the Queen releases control all that will remain of the Hiveling an empty carcass. Following the Queen, any Hive will be protected by a few legions of Archissi; a highly protected, deadly variant of Hiveling. They have been "blessed" with enhanced senses, a pshychicly able mind, a thicker exoskeleton, sharper claws and mandibles and of course, a higher seat inside the hierachy. ## Underground Mazes

Spaning thousands of kilometers at times, Hive daugthers have become keen on building complex undeground nests, the afromentioned hives. Hives are made of complex tunnels and chambers under the sand, with a structure that may seem alien to the naked eye, but has been very planned out by the hivelings. Hive daugthers will do anything to protect their hive, this can in ocations come to the point of immolation, if the hive queen deems it necesary. ## Hive Daugther Names

The real name of a Hiveling is uninteligible to any species outside of the hive, and so they tend to have two names. The first, tends to be a string of words describing the hiveling, and the second one, is an adaptation to vocal languages.

**Vocal Names:** Ailka, Asal, Azza, Bazil, Bia, Carra, Erra, Ika, Imma, Laka, Laria, Lezara, Mal, Nagia, Osia, Okala, Rall, Rea, Sera, Silla, Tira, Vara

> ##### Wary of the outside > The isolationist and hostile nature of the Hives has made the Hive Daugthers wary of outsiders. > > ***Elves.*** "Tender meat, know much. Magic powerful, have weird intrest in us." > > ***Humans.*** "Short elfs, magic no good. Resilient, hard. Salty meat, many skins. Weapons no pointy, powerful crossbow-things" > > ***Tieflings.*** "Spicy meat, weird. Pointy things on head, like carapace. Skin much color. Fiery, like sands. Geon likes."

## Hive Daugther Traits

The harsh enviortment of the desert sands has refined the Hivelings to be as adapted to it as possible. ***Ability Score Increase.*** Your Dextery **or** your Strength score is increased by 2.

\page ***Age.*** Biologically, a Hive Daugther can reach an age of arround 100 years, but the extreamly harsh and violent enviorment of the sands makes it so one rarely reaches the age of 50. ***Alignment.*** Their constant struggle with nature and almost feral behavior has led the Hivelings to be as versatyle as possible. They *tend* to be neutral in one of the two axis. ***Size.*** Most Hivelings reach a height of 5 and a half feet tall by the time they reach maturity. ***Speed.*** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. ***Advanced Darkvision.*** As most of your time is likely spent underground, and thanks to your lesser thermal vision, you can see in dim light within 120 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only ***shades of red.*** ***Toughened Survivor.*** The desert enviorment has forged you into an adept survivor to its dangers. You have fire resistance, proficiency in survival and you don't consider soft sand terrain as difficult terrain. ***Hardened Carapace.*** Your chitinous exieterior proves invaluable in the desert. You have a +1 AC until you are reduced to 0 hit point (Only if downed via a non-psychic/psyonic attack). After that, your carapace is considered damaged, and won't provid its bonus until healed by a healing spell. (Your DM may rule that in the event of recieving **massive damage**, your carapace becomes damaged and no damage table is rolled. ***Languages.*** You can communicate with your brethren thanks to your psionic mind. Additionaly, you can speak, read and write in common, although with some difficulty.

\page # Civilizations of the Sand It doesn't matter how inhospitable the sands are, life always finds a way. No matter how twisted, immoral or wretched it may be. A canopy of factions inhabit Geon, some have taken a taste for diplomacy, while others have developed a taste for flesh. ## Ark Hegemony The Ark Hegemony is a heavily authoritarian onclave that resides in the "capital" city of *La'ageon*. The city itself was built in the surroundings of an ancient structure (a derrelict Archlight) which provided shade and a slightly less arid air. The Hegemony crowns itself as the true reclaimers of Geon, and have a deep

intrest in ancient tech. They have fortified La'ageon and installed an extense, although rudimentary, political system. On the surface, the Hegemony appears as no more than a somewhat stratified society of scavengers that value derrelict tech as much as they value their own lives, but on a deeper level, there is an underlying technocracy that upholds control and power over everything. On top of the Hegemony, is **Nera Arkassa**, a cutthroat leader

who command the Hegemony from atop the derrelict structure. She is known for her unrelenting determination to occupy the entierity of the desert, whatever the cost.
Apart from La'ageon, the Ark Hegemony has a few scattered cities, mainly in the calcite terraces and canyons in the periphery of the derrelict city, but it also has many outposts in the fringe of Hegemony space. ## United Lakes In absolute contrast to the Ark, the United are an isolationist group of settlements which used to act only in protection of their own affairs, until the expansion of the Ark Hegemony became a problem

for the desert dwellers. Now united under a single banner, they behave as a resourceful defense force that has prevented the Ark Hegemony from truly breaching their limits. Most, if not all of their still standing villages are built in the sparse oases which give them water and a fertile land. The United Lakes don't have a single centralized government or

defined leader, but rather, they act as a conjunct defense force that will come to the aid of any of the attacked parts. Because of this, each settlement acts individually on an administrative, cultural and economic way. Some communities value trading, while others will kill you on sight. ## The Hives Relentless, unyielding, ravenous, slowly crawling out of every dune with a spear in every hand and with the intent of killing everything that moves. The Hives know no flag, and they know no union. They know no peace, and they know no mercy. Their everlasting conflict against everything never falls short, they will fight untill their las breath and they will defend their hives until the last daugther.

The Hives are complex underground structures which are home to the Hivelings, or Hive Daughters. Each tribe keeps their individuality
