## Mirivus the Traveler's Alien Compendium Encapsulated within these pages is an account of the wonderous creatures and beings I have encountered in my travels. I have taken the liberty to describe their roles in popular folklore and legend.

Each of the beings listed here come from wonderous and varied worlds, each as different from the next as the incredible creatures inhabbiting them. Born from the burning arches on the surface of suns, to sentient soundwaves entrapped in silicone shells. ### List of Recorded Transformations:

\page # Aerophibian Aerophibians are large, red and yellow beings similar in appearance to a manta-ray. They are known to travel through space in flocks, migrating from planet to planet, trying to find a climate that suits them. Despite their incredible adaptability, Aerophibians are notoriously difficult to please. They will abandon a planet in all accounts perfect to their specifications, simply because they did not care for the colour of the sky. They are known to constatly quarrel among themselves, and never give the opinion of an outsider a second thought. A group of Aerophibians is called a drift in flight, and a cluster in water.

Starting at 7th level, you can attempt a free grapple action, contesting 10+ the target's DEX mod, and carry the target with you on a success. > >***Hyper speed.*** Starting at level 13 Aerophibians can move fast enough to reach Hyper Speed. Once per day Aerophibians can cast the teleport spell at 7th level. > >### Reactions >***Arial Reposite.*** As a reaction to taking damage to a creature within 5 feet of you, you make a claw attack.

\page # Agropitridon Despite their fierce appearance, the Agropitridons prefer a very simple lifestyle, seeing the perfect life as living in isolation from society, using what nature provides to survive, and very little else. Materialism and currency are frowned upon by Agropitridon traditionalists, prefering barter and promise over any monetary goods. As a species, Agropitridons display a very wide variety in plumage, ranging from earthly browns, to whites and startling oranges, and even bright blues, green, and yellows. Agropitridon feathers are coarse and hard, though they shimmer brilliantly in light.

\page # Amperi Amperi are predominantly aquatic, building vast underwater cities unhindered by the material constraints of building above land. Tall spires break the surface and touch the sky, where Amperi flying from far distances may enter their sprawling cities. Famously brilliant architects, the Amperi devised a method of travel unique to their physiology. In the manner of railways, Amperi lay long lines of conductive metal, encased in glass, between their major cities and travel through them in their ellectric state. Travel across the entirety of their empire is nearly instantaneous, for an Amperi that is.

You can now use Constrict as a bonus action. > > **Telepathic Premonition.** All attacks against you by beings with thoughts have disadvantage. > > ### Actions > ***Electrical Telepathy.*** as an action you can cast detect thoughts as a 2nd level spell with out using the material components. This uses your DEX as your spell casting modifier and spell save DC. Starting at 9th level creatures can no longer tell their thoughts are being read in this way. > > ***Electric Bolt.*** *Ranged Attack:* 4(Dex)+prof to hit, reach 120ft., one target. Hit: 1d10+2 lighting. > > _At Higher Levels:_ This attack’s damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 7th level (2d10), 12th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10). > > ***Constrict.*** *Melee Attack:* 4(Dex)+prof to hit, reach 15 ft, one target. > > ### Reactions > ***Electrical Absorption.*** as a reaction when you are hit by an attack that causes lightning damage, you can deflect the effects, damage and conditions back on to the attacker as long as you can still see them and they are with in 30ft.

\page # Aposopterran Aposopterrans are known to take risky maneuvers in making sure their race keep on growing or to fetch food for their young. They rarely leave their peaceful planet, having faced the Tetramands of Khoros one time too many. Their venacular is slow and laid back, as casual vocabulary is seen as a sign of nobility. Despite their peaceful nature, Aposopterrans are known to react quickly and violently to threats, often taking a sadistic pleasure in causing pain to injured foes. The colouration of their carapace can range between blue, green, and yellow, though cooler coloured Aposopterrans are very rare, and are viewed as exceptionally attractive.

\page # Appoplexian Appoplexians are beastly feline beings, infamous for their arrogance and rage. They are very chaotic creatures, often picking fights and slandering others relentlessly, whether they have reason to or not. Because of this most Appoplexians are typically driven away from mixed species society, forming tribes amongst themselves. Appoplexians do not believe in religious oversight, instead partaking in trials of combat to settle disputes. These trials are regarded as entertainment in the same way gladiatorial fights are for humans, though Appoplexian trials of combat are rarely fatal. Appoplexians are notoriously hard to put down in battle, due to their relentless rage.

Once per transformation on your turn, you can enter a rage as a bonus action. > While raging, you gain the following benefits: > * You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws. > * When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll equal to your strength modifier. > * You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Your rage ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven't attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action. > >### Reactions > >***Let me tell you something!*** As a reaction to taking damage you can make a short rant at the creatures who damaged you. It must succeed a Charisma save (DC 18) or be knocked prone out of sheer shock and become frightened for one turn. \page # Arachnichimp Arachnichimps are furry beasts resembling simians, but with many biological similarities to Arachnids. They’re known to inhabbit dense forests, building their villages in levels around and into the trees. Arachnichimps are incredibly mobile, can see in darkness and can create strong webs that can hold creatures four times their size. They are capable of speech but possess very basic intelligence, being more animalistic in nature, causing most people to mistake their apelike screeches for having violent intentions.

Web Tendrils created in this way last three turns. > ### Evolution > >**Gorilla-Spider.** You instantly gain half yout temporary HP above what you have remaining. Your Strength score changes to 18, your Dexterity score changes to 15, your AC changes to 14, and your size changes to medium. > >**Advanced Webbing.** Your webs increase in durability, increasing your Web DC by 3 points. Additionally, you can now use Web as a bonus action. > >**Spider Legs.** You grow four large spider legs from your sides. These legs can effortlessly support your body weight and keep you 5 feet of the ground. Additionally, you no longer suffer from difficult terrain. > ### Actions > >**Multiattack.** Starting at level 5 Arachnichimp can make two Bash attacks and three Bash attacks at level 9. > >***Bash.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +1(STR) + Prof to hit, Reach 5 ft, one target. *Hit:* 5 (1d6 +1(STR)) bludgeoning damage.

> >**At Higher levels:** Your damage dice changes to 2d4 at level 7, 3d4 at level 11, and 3d6 at level 15. > >***Web.*** As an action you cast the Web spell at 2nd level at will. Arachnichimps aren't immune to the effects of their webbing and will still suffer its effects if used incorrectly. The DC to escape webs made in this way is 12.

\page # Arburian Pelarota The Arburian Pelarota are peaceful creatures, rarely creating any structures, and preferring to travel in great migrations from water source to water source. Though they are by no means acquatic or even amphibious, Arburian Pelarotas are rarely seen away from a source of water, whether it be salt- or freshwater. The most striking feature of their anatomy is the Pelarota's ability to curl themselves up into a ball-like structure and roll around at great speeds. As durable as the skin of an Arburian Pelarota is, their outer shell is even more so. They are nearly invulnerable in ball form and excrete a friction negating fluid from under the plates of their shells. Arburain Pelarota are immeasurable patient and make for incredible philosophers and dilligent diplomats.

You can not dash in ball form. > >**Roll Out.** While rolling in ball form Arburian Pelarota can cause severe damage to anything they collide with. For every 10 ft. they move in a straight line they build up 1d8 bludgeoning damage dice capping at 9d8 damage dice, which resets if they turn or stop moving. When moving into a square occupied by a **medium** or **smaller** creature or object, you do not treat it as difficult terrain, and the affected creature or object must make a DC 14 dexterity save. On fail the creature or object takes damage equal to the dice you built up and half as much on a success. Creatures or objects **large** size or larger must do the same but when moving into their occupied space are you are moved back the same number of feet you travelled in a straight line. You do not deal damage when moved in this way and are vulnerable to attacks of opportunity. > >**At Higher levels:** Dodge DC changes to 16 at level 7, 18 at level 13, and 20 at level 17. > > ### Evolution > >**Super Armour. ** Your body and shell turn into a strong metal slightly weaker than adamantine. Your Constitution increases by 4, your AC increases by 4, and your ball form now does double damage to creatures and four times as much damage to structures and objects. > >**Spike Traction. ** When you are moved back from colliding with a **large** or larger creature or object, you now move half the distance travelled before collision and deal damage equal to the distance travelled after collision. You no longer lose damage dice from turning, can roll up vertical surfaces and do not fall off when standing still. > > > ### Actions > ***Claw.*** Melee Weapon Attack: +3 (STR) to hit, reach 5ft, one target. *Hit* 9 (2d6 + 3 (STR)) (Unusable when in ball form). >

\page # Atrocian Atrocians are known for two things, their nigh invulnerability, and their complete and utter inability to clean up after themselves. It is said that you can smell an Atrocian from over a Parsec away. By some blessing of nature, the Globurini, whom share a planet with the Atrocians, have developed the ability to dispose of filth. Atrocians are known to show up on alien planets at inappropriate times, saying unfortunate things in loud voices. Despite their slow and lumbering movement, vacant expressions and unthreatening demeanour, Atrocians have no natural predators.

\page # Biosovortian A common debate about the Biosovortian race is whether they are naturally occuring, or constructs of some kind, perhaps even a mad science experiment gone wrong. What is known is that Biosovortians were created when a star with a ferromagnetic core cooled rapidly, hardening into a semiorganic landscape, where lifeforms based on magnetism came into being. At this point in time, most cite the unlikeliness of this manner of spontaneous evolution, citing that the gold and black skinned being had to have been created in a manner similar to the Galvanic Mechamorph. Though, if this is the case, who are their creators? Why have they left without a trace, a signiature to attest their work? And perhaps most important of all... where are they now?

\page # Cascan The Cascans have a light exoskeleton, though it is incredibly durable for its weight. This exoskeleton armor has one to three tanks on the head, and two tubes that extend from the mouth area to a unit on the back. They have jets on their hands that shoot out water from two extra tanks in the forearms. They have glowing green eyes, three fingers, and two toes. They are primarily seen to have red exoskeletons, however orange, blue, green, and very rarely gold and silver exoskeletons have also been observed.

##### Unfathomably Overpowered The Celestialsapien Transformation is one of the ultimate powers in the universe, and as such, not exactly balanced fo DnD 5e. Alternative abilities and stats may be implemented by your Dungeon Master to make this transformation usable, or alternatively ban it alltogether. This can be done by making the transformation only usable once per long rest, only able to cast the Wish Spell as it's only ability, make the Celestialsapien unable to cast the wish spell at all, or otherwise restrict how it can affect the world around itself.

\page # Cerebrocrustacean Of all the hyper-intelligent creatures in the cosmos, none can boast to come as close to matching Galvan intellect as the Cerebrocrustaceans do. So advanced is their intellect, and so profound their thoughts, that the electricity generated by their neurons firing can be discharged in blasts of lightning. Acquatic in nature, and calculating in demenour, very few species get along with Cerebrocrustaceans. As arrogant as they are brilliant, Cerebrocrustaceans do not tolerate the presence of others, which suits everyone else just fine. A common analogy spoken in mixed company is that many would rather eat an Atrocian whole than have a conversation with a Cerebrocrustacean.

\page # Chimera Sui Geniris If you ask a Chimeran who it thinks the greatest species in the galaxy is, it will reply that the Chimera Sui Generis is the greatest living being ever to grace the cosmos. It would not be far off. Despite their arrogance and hostility, the Chimeran Empire is one of, if not *the* single greatest, republics in the galaxy. Despite a tumultuous past and many dethroned, would be dictators, Chimerans are stout believers in the greatness and will of the people. Their electoral senate rotate yearly, and no member may serve more than one term, ensuring that no old guard nor corruption can fester in the Empire's heart. Their planet-cities and ships are the most well maintained and technologically magnificent in the universe, second only to the Galvan fleet.

If only they did not keep other species as slaves.

\page # Chronosapien Called 'The Gardeners of Time' by local legend, the Chronosapiens not only exist outside of time, they cultivate and trim the timestream, trimming branches and cultivating a 'sacred' timeline as decreed by a music no other creature can hear. Malicious Chronosapiens do not exist, because they are made to have never been born by the rest of their kind. Of course, every once in a while, a Chronosapien goes rogue, because they haven't existed yet, and thus haven't been wiped from existence yet. This is apparently a wonderful joke in Chronosapien culture.

After all, they are likely the most intelligent species ever recorded by the Codon Stream. The Galvan tend to live in small colonies across the world, while their capital city resides on the moon. Cerebrocrustaceans are the Galvan's greatest intellectual adversary and it is common to find their interactions antagonistic, or even hostile. The Galvan are often found acting in an advisory capacity, though they rarely remain so for long, due to them finding this line of work unfulfilling and intellectually unstimulating. Less ambitious Galvan are more laid back in their approach to life. The Galvan are well regarded, especially by the elves who share their long lifespan.

\page ____ ## Galvanic Mechamorph Galvanic Mechamorphs are a medium Constructs that are comprised of a gelatinous shell that protects a network of mechanical nodes instead of natural organs. Galvanic Mechamorphs were unintentionally created by Azmuth the Galvan when he attempted to use a combination of magic arts and science to create a livable environment on one of the world's nearby moons. This experiment at first seemed successful beyond even Azmuth's expectations, only for the terraformed landscape to unexpectedly generate flora and fauna. Azmuth ascertained that the creatures were sentient and dubbed them Galvanic Mechamorphs. The Mechamorphs quickly multiplied and by shaping, enhancing, and repurposing both magic and technology, created their cities and society overnight. Azmuth left the Galvanic Mechamorphs on the moon, now named 'Galvan B', to exist in peace. The Mechamorphs are a peaceful species and have shown no interest in leaving their home.
