Artistry Domain

Artists come in all forms, from singers and instrument players to painters and sculptors. Anyone that creates to entertain or creates just for the joy of creation is making art. Sometimes, that art is divinely inspired. Sometimes, people are called to dedicate their lives to the source of that inspiration.

In Aenea, this domain is available to clerics of Jewel (Shimmerstar), Goddess of Love, Beauty, Passion, Gems, and the Arts.

Bonus Proficiency

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency with two types of artisan's tools of your choice.

Blessed Artistry

Also starting at 1st level, whenever you make an ability check to create or perform a work of art you have proficiency with, you instead add double your proficiency bonus to that check.

Channel Divinity: Skillful Muse

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to inspire divine creativity and skill, inspiring a person to greatness. As an action, you speak words of encouragement to bolster one creature who is within 60 feet of you and can hear you. You may use this to inspire yourself. The recipient of your encouragement receives a +10 bonus to a single skill (chosen by you) for the next 8 hours. A recipient can only be inspired by one Skillful Muse at a time.

Artist's Detachment

Starting at 6th level, you can maintain an artistic detachment. If you start your turn charmed, frightened or stunned and you did not start your previous turn under the same condition, you can use a bonus action to make a saving throw against that condition even if you otherwise could not take an action.

Potent Spellcasting

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.

Living Art

At 17th level, your artistic skill and link to the divine combine to let you bring an art object to life as an action. A scupture or painting you have had some hand in creating is required for this ability.

Graceful Scupture: A beautiful scupture you touch comes to life as a stone construct, animated by the power of the goddess of the arts. Instead of a rough, blocky construct, this one is graceful work of art. It moves with the speed and skill of a dancer, but with all of the strength of a stone golem.

Painted Guardian: Your touch on a painting causes a strong guardian knight to step out of the art into the real world. Heavily armored, this warrior stands between you and any potential harm.

Each type of living art will serve you for up to 8 hours before returning to its artful form. You can use this ability again after completing a long rest.

  • Magic Weapons. The sculpture's weapon attacks are magical.

Actions

Multiattack. The sculpture makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Slow (Recharge 5-6). The sculpture targets one or more creatures it can see within 10 feet of it. Each target must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw against this magic. On a failed save, a target can't use reactions, its speed is halved, and it can't make more than one attack on its turn. In addition, the target can take either an action or a bonus action on its turn, not both. These effects last for 1 minute. A target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
