# Trick Weapons Hunters of Yharnam are given weaponry created at the Hunter's Workshop, a branch of the Healing Church devoted to the invention of tools designed to combat the beastly scourge. These 'trick weapons' are capable of quickly transforming from one state to another, exchanging speed and portability for power and reach. ## *Trick* Weapon Property Any weapon with the *Trick* property has two states, listed in its description. As a bonus action, the wielder of a held *Trick* weapon may change its state from Normal to Transformed or back again. If the wielder changes a *Trick* weapon's state immediately following an attack made with it, they may make an attack as part of the bonus action used to transform the *Trick* weapon, using the Transformed state's damage dice and reach. All *Trick* weapons are silvered by default; this should be reflected in their crafting costs or price. Any scythe weapon has a secondary attack option. When you make a melee attack roll with a scythe, you may choose to attack all creatures in a 10-foot cone originating with you. Make one attack roll against all creatures within that cone. ### Amygdalan Arm "*This grisly weapon is the arm of a small Amygdala Great One. Strictly speaking, the Amygdalan Arm is no trick weapon of any sort, but certain madmen wield them like clubs.* *It starts as a large, tough blunt weapon formed of bone, but when extended, the hand quivers as if it were still alive.*" **Eldritch Weapon.** In either state, the Amygdalan Arm deals 1d4 psychic damage whenever it strikes a living creature with an Intelligence score of 4 or greater. **Living Weapon.** In its Transformed state, the Arm thrashes violently when swung, striking all creatures within 5 feet of the point or creature you attack. Roll an additional attack, and use that attack to determine whether you hit adjacent creatures. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, club)* **Damage:** 2d6 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Light, Trick **Weight:** 15 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, greatclub)* **Damage:** 2d8 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Reach, Trick, Two-Handed **Weight:** 15 lbs. ``` ``` ### Beast Claw "*The Beast Claw is a beastly weapon wielded by Irreverent Izzy.* *Crafted by chiseling the long bones of an undead darkbeast and fastening them to the weapon. The bones are still alive, and when unleashed, grant its wielder a spurt of beastly power.* *As flesh is flayed and blood is sprayed, the beast within awakens, and in time, the wielder of this weapon surges with both strength and feverish reverie.*" **Form of the Were-Beast.** In its Transformed state, the Beast Claw fuses itself with the wielder's arms, giving them lycanthropic claws. While the Beast Claw is Transformed, you are empty-handed, causing attacks with the Beast Claw to be treated as unarmed strikes that use the Transformed Beast Claw's damage dice. In addition, you may make an additional attack with the Transformed Beast Claw as a bonus action, adding your ability modifiers as though you had the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. **Beastly Fury.** While the Beast Claw is Transformed, the first successful attack against a creature in a round grants you a +2 bonus to damage dealt with the Beast Claw, but causes you to take one additional die of damage whenever you take damage, up to a total of +10 damage/+5 dice. If your turn ends and you haven't damaged a creature other than yourself, both the damage bonus and the additional damage dice decrease by 1. If you have the full +10 damage/+5 bonus at the start of your turn, you must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with lycanthropy. Lycanthropes automatically fail this save, going berserk and transforming into their Hybrid form if they are in Normal form, or their Animal form if they are in their Hybrid form. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, claw)* **Damage:** 1d4 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Very Rare **Properties:** Light, Trick **Weight:** 4 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, natural weapon)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Very Rare **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 6 lbs. \page

### Beasthunter Saif "*A trick weapon used by the old hunters.* *A second blade is found inside the curve of the main one. In its initial form, the saif can be wielded like a long curved sword, but when transformed, its blade is contracted, allowing for quick, repeated stabs.* *Although this trick weapon allows for adaptive combat, it was later replaced by saws and similar weapons that were more effective at disposing of beasts.*" **Agile Weapon.** While in its Normal state, the Beasthunter Saif allows you to move short distances as part of your attacks thanks to its style of use, which involves constant wide slashes and adroit footwork. When you make an attack with the Saif, you may take a 5-foot step in any direction as a reaction that does not provoke opportunity attacks. **Sweeping Scythe.** While in its Transformed state, the Beasthunter Saif can make a sweeping attack in a 10-foot cone originating from the wielder. When you make an attack with the transformed Beasthunter Saif, you may choose to make a single attack against all creatures in a 10-foot cone. **Long-Handled Weapon.** In its Transformed state, attacks made with the Beasthunter Saif against creatures within 5 feet of you are made with disadvantage. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, scimitar)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 6 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, scythe)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Finesse, Reach, Trick, Two-Handed **Weight:** 6 lbs. ``` ``` ### Beast Cutter "*A trick weapon used by Old Hunters.* *This thick iron cleaver slices through the toughest of beast hides, and when transformed the blade splits into sections, allowing one to lash it in the fashion of a heavy whip.* *This crude weapon relies on brute force and is regrettably inelegant, suggesting that the hunts of the earliest hunters made for horrific affairs, painted in sanguine black and reds.*" **Serrated Weapon.** In either state, the Beast Cutter deals an extra damage die to Aberrations, Beasts, Monstrosities, and Undead. **Segmented Whip.** In its Transformed state, the Beast Cutter hits in a 15-foot cone originating from the wielder. When you make an attack with the Transformed Beast Cutter, make a single attack against up to 3 creatures in a 15-foot cone. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, club)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Trick **Weight:** 18 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, segmented club-whip)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Reach (15ft), Trick **Weight:** 18 lbs. \page

### Blade of Mercy "*A special trick weapon passed down among hunters of hunters. One of the oldest weapons of the workshop.* *Splits into two when activated. The weapon's warped blades are forged with siderite, a rare mineral of the heavens. Most effective swift attacks, such as after a quick-stepping.*" **Siderite Weapon.** In either state, the Blade of Mercy is treated as an adamantine weapon. **Assassin's Swiftness.** In its Transformed state, the Blade of Mercy becomes two small shortswords. When you take the Attack action with the Transformed Blade of Mercy, you may make an extra attack with your Attack action. Features such as Extra Attack may also be used, allowing for up to three (or four, depending on class and level) attacks with one action. **Eileen's Farewell.** As a bonus action, you may slash with the Transformed Blade of Mercy and dance away with the same motion. Make a melee attack against a creature you can see - hit or miss, you immediately leap up to 10 feet directly away from the target after the attack. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity and does not count against your movement on your turn. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, scimitar)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 3 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, shortsword)* **Damage:** 1d4 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 3 lbs. ``` ``` ### Bloodletter "*The demented hunter weapon brandished by Brador, the Healing Church assassin.* *The Bloodletter assumes its true and terrifying form after it draws upon blood from the inner reaches of one's body and soul.* *This is the only effective means of expelling tainted blood, or so Brador, isolated in his cell, continued to believe.*" **Brador's Zeal.** To transform the Bloodletter from its Normal state to its Transformed state, the wielder must wound themselves with the weapon, taking 2d10+3 bludgeoning damage that bypasses resistances as part of the bonus action used to transform the weapon. The Bloodletter reverts back to Normal form after 5 minutes or if the wielder is not holding it at the end of their turn. **Blood-Maul.** While in its Transformed state, the Bloodletter deals an additional 1d6 piercing damage on hit. When it strikes a creature with blood, that creature must make a DC 15 Constitution save or take 2d8 necrotic damage over 1d4 turns at the start of its turns. ### Boom Hammer "*A trick weapon used by the old hunters, and crafted by the workshop heretics, the Powder Kegs.* *A giant hammer equipped with a miniature furnace. When ignited and fired, it emits a volley of flame that explodes furiously upon impact.* *Crush the beasts, then burn them - the brute simplicity of the Boom Hammer was favored by hunters with an acute distaste for beasts.*" **Powder-Keg's Opus.** When you use your bonus action to transform the Boom Hammer from its Normal state to its Transformed state, you ignite a miniature furnace behind the hammerhead that burns for up to 3 rounds, casting bright light for 10 feet and dim light for an additional 10 feet while lit. The next melee attack made with the Boom Hammer while the furnace is lit causes an 5-foot radius explosion centered on the target of the attack. Creatures adjacent to the target and the target itself suffer 2d6 fire damage, halved on a successful DC 15 Dexterity save. The target of the attack makes its Dexterity save with disadvantage if the triggering melee attack hits it. Once this explosion has been triggered, the furnace's flame goes out and the Boom Hammer reverts to its Normal state. **Full-Body Swing.** When Powder-Keg's Opus' bonus fire damage is triggered, you cannot make another melee attack with the Boom Hammer until the start of your next turn, even with the Extra Attack feature or as an opportunity attack. **Long-Handled Weapon.** In either state, attacks made with the Boom Hammer against creatures within 5 feet of you are made with disadvantage. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, warhammer)* **Damage:** 1d10 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Reach, Trick, Two-Handed **Weight:** 15 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, warhammer)* **Damage:** 1d10 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Reach, Trick, Two-Handed **Weight:** 15 lbs. ``` ``` ### Burial Blade "*Trick weapon wielded by Gehrman, the first hunter.* *A masterpiece that defined the entire array of weapons crafted at the workshop. Its blade is forged with siderite, said to have fallen from the heavens.* *Gehrman surely saw the hunt as a dirge of farewell, wishing only that his prey might rest in peace, never again to awaken to another harrowing nightmare.*" **Siderite Weapon.** In either state, the Burial Blade is treated as an adamantine weapon. **Gehrman's Mercy.** In its Transformed state, the Burial Blade is treated as a vorpal weapon. When you attack a creature that has at least one head and roll a 20 on the attack roll, you sever one of the creature's heads. The creature dies if it can't survive without the lost head. A creature is immune to this effect if it is immune to slashing damage, doesn't have or need a head, has legendary actions, or the DM decides that the creature is too large to be affected by this weapon's vorpal property. Such a creature instead takes 6d8 slashing damage from the hit. **Sweeping Scythe.** While in its Transformed state, the Burial Blade can make a sweeping attack in a 10-foot cone originating from the wielder. When you make an attack with the transformed Burial Blade, you may choose to make a single attack against all creatures in a 10-foot cone. The vorpal feature of this weapon can take effect on any number of targets struck by this sweeping attack. **Long-Handled Weapon.** In its Transformed state, attacks made with the Burial Blade against creatures within 5 feet of you are made with disadvantage. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, scimitar)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 12 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, scythe)* **Damage:** 1d10 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Reach, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 12 lbs. \page

### Chikage "*Foreign-made weapon wielded by the royal guards who protect Annalise, Queen of the Vilebloods at Cainhurst Castle.* *When the intricate, rippled engraving that spans the Chikage's blade is imbued with blood, the sword sings in scarlet hues.* *However, the rite eats away at the wielder's very essence.*" **Vileblood's Zeal.** While in its Transformed state, the Chikage deals 2d4+2 necrotic damage to the wielder when they transform it and at the start of their turn, and double that amount of necrotic damage to creatures it hits until the end of the wielder's turn. This process repeats at the start of the wielder's turn until the Chikage is reverted to its Normal state or until the wielder is not holding the Chikage at the end of their turn, which reverts it to its Normal state. In spite of its origins, it is a highly practical weapon.*" **Serrated Weapon.** In either state, the Church Pick deals an extra damage die to Aberrations, Beasts, Monstrosities, and Undead. **Righteous Weapon.** It also deals an extra damage die of radiant damage to shapeshifters and evil extraplanar creatures. **Long-Handled Weapon.** In its Transformed state, attacks made with the Church Pick against creatures within 5 feet are made with disadvantage. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, longsword)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Piercing **Item Rarity:** Uncommon **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 4 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, warpick)* **Damage:** 1d10 **Damage Type:** Piercing **Item Rarity:** Uncommon **Properties:** Finesse, Reach, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 4 lbs. \page

### Holy Moonlight Sword "*An arcane sword discovered long ago by Ludwig. When blue moonlight dances around the sword, and it channels the abyssal cosmos, its great blade will hurl a shadowy lightwave.* *The Holy Moonlight Sword is synonymous with Ludwig, the Holy Blade, but few have ever set eyes on the great blade, and whatever guidance it has to offer, it seems to be of a very private, elusive sort.*" **Guiding Moonlight.** In its Transformed state, the Holy Moonlight Sword becomes wreathed in pale moonlight, shedding bright light for 20 feet and dim light for an additional 20 feet. While Transformed, the Moonlight Sword deals an additional 1d6 radiant damage, and all other damage it deals is converted to radiant damage. **Ludwig's Wrath.** The Moonlight Sword also gains a secondary attack option while in its Transformed state. When you make a melee attack with the Transformed Moonlight Sword, you may choose to expel an arc of radiant moonlight from the blade in a 10 ft. wide, 15 ft. long line originating with you. All creatures within the area of the line take 2d8 radiant damage, halved on a successful DC 16 Dexterity save. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, greatsword)* **Damage:** 2d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 6 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, greatsword)* **Damage:** 2d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 6 lbs. ### Hunter Axe "*One of the trick weapons of the workshop, commonly used on the hunt. Retains the qualities of an axe, but offers a wider palette of attacks by transforming. Boasts a heavy blunt attack, leading to high rally potential.* *No matter their pasts, beasts are no more than beasts. Some choose this axe to play the part of executioner.*" #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, battleaxe)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Uncommon **Properties:** Light, Trick **Weight:** 12 lbs.

On the one side, an easily handled silver sword. On the other, a giant obtuse stone weapon, characterized by a blunt strike and extreme force of impact.* *The Church takes a heavy-handed, merciless stance toward the plague of beasts, an irony not lost upon the wielders of this most symbolic weapon.*" **Righteous Weapon.** While in its Normal state, the Kirkhammer deals an extra damage die of radiant damage to shapeshifters and evil extraplanar creatures. **Titanic Weapon.** While in its Transformed state, the Kirkhammer deals double damage against structures and objects. Creatures of Large size and smaller must make a DC 15 Strength/Dexterity save when struck by the Kirkhammer or take 2d4 additional bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. While you hold the Transformed Kirkhammer, your movement speed is halved. **Full-Body Swing.** When you make a melee attack with the Transformed Kirkhammer, you cannot do so again until the start of your next turn, even with the Extra Attack feature or as an opportunity attack. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (martial, longsword)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Light, Trick **Weight:** 6 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (martial, maul)* **Damage:** 2d10 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 20 lbs. \page

### Kos Parasite "*When the carcass of Kos washed up on the coast, its insides were teeming with tiny parasites, unlike any found in humans.* *This atypical weapon can only be clasped tight and swung, but a Kos Parasite is said to stimulate phantasms inhabiting a lumenwood.*" **Orphan's Legacy.** In its Transformed state, the Kos Parasite transforms both of your hands into pale bulging flesh and tentacles, becoming a natural weapon. It deals an additional 2d4 psychic damage when it strikes a creature with an Intelligence score of 4 or greater. If you make an off-hand melee attack with the Transformed Kos Parasite, you may add your ability modifier to the damage roll as if you had the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. **Grasping Limbs.** When you make a melee attack with the Transformed Kos Parasite, you may attempt a grapple as part of the attack. You may only attempt a grapple in this way once per round - on a successful grapple check, you cannot grapple or make attacks against other creatures until the grappled creature frees itself or is released. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, what the fuck is that)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 6 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, oh god kill it)* **Damage:** 1d6 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Legendary **Properties:** Finesse, Light, Trick **Weight:** 12 lbs. ``` ``` ### Logarius' Wheel "*Weapon wielded by martyr Logarius' band of executioners. Used to slaughter the Vilebloods in Cainhurst.* *Bathed in pools of their blood, and forever steeped in their ire. Transform to release the power of the wheel and manifest their lingering rage in a show of utter brilliance.*" **Righteous Weapon.** In either state, Logarius' Wheel deals an extra damage die of radiant damage to shapeshifters and evil extraplanar creatures. **Martyr's Wrath.** When you use your bonus action to transform Logarius' Wheel from its Normal state to its Transformed state, you spin the outer section of the wheel rapidly to summon the wrathful specters of slain vampires for 3 rounds, causing the Wheel to deal an additional 3 necrotic damage to creatures it hits while in its Transformed state. While the Wheel is in its Transformed state, your movement speed is halved. If you use your bonus action to spin the Wheel again while it has this bonus necrotic damage, the bonus damage and duration are increased by 1, up to a maximum of 6 bonus damage and 6 rounds. At the end of your turn on the 6th round, the Wheel reverts to its Normal state, resetting its Transformed state's effects to 3 bonus damage and 3 rounds. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, wheel)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Very Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 25 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, weird wheel)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Very Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 25 lbs. \page

### Ludwig's Holy Blade "*A trick weapon typically used by Healing Church hunters. It is said that the silver sword was employed by Ludwig, the first hunter of the church. When transformed, it combines with its sheath to form a greatsword.* *It exhibits several departures from the workshop's design, suggesting that the Church anticipated much larger inhuman beasts.*" **Righteous Weapon.** In either state, Ludwig's Holy Blade deals an extra damage die of radiant damage to shapeshifters and evil extraplanar creatures. **Giantsbane Blade.** In its Transformed state, Ludwig's Holy Blade deals an extra damage die to Huge or larger creatures. #### Normal State *Melee weapon (simple, longsword)* **Damage:** 1d8 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Light, Trick **Weight:** 8 lbs. #### Transformed State *Melee weapon (simple, greatsword)* **Damage:** 2d6 **Damage Type:** Slashing **Item Rarity:** Rare **Properties:** Heavy, Trick, Two-handed **Weight:** 65 lbs. ``` ``` ### Rakuyo "*Hunter weapon wielded by Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower.* *A trick sword originated in the same country as the Cainhurst Chikage, only this sword feeds not off blood, but instead demands great dexterity.* *Lady Maria was fond of this aspect of the Rakuyo, as she frowned upon blood blades, despite being a distant relative of the queen.* *One day, she abandoned her beloved Rakuyo, casting it into a dark well, when she could stomach it no longer.*" **Twinsword.** In its Normal state, the Rakuyo bears a dagger blade on its pommel. When you make a melee attack with the Normal Rakuyo, you may spend a bonus action to make a second off-hand attack with the reverse end of the weapon. It deals 1d4 piercing damage. **Hunter's Reflex.** In its Transformed state, the Rakuyo separates, becoming a saber in one hand and a dagger in the other. The next melee attack made with the Transformed Stake Driver ejects the stake into the target of the attack, dealing an extra 2d4 piercing damage. The target can be up to 10 feet away - if the target is not within melee range, it takes no damage from the melee attack and makes a Dexterity save (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) to halve the piercing damage taken from the ejected stake. These discs, lined with serrated teeth, spin rapidly, thrashing the flesh of beasts into fine shreds.*" **Serrated Weapon.** In its Transformed state, the Whirligig Saw deals an extra damage die to Aberrations, Beasts, Monstrosities, and Undead. **Valtr's Zeal.** In its Transformed state, the Whirligig Saw can be made to spin continuously, furiously chewing and shredding anything it is placed against. When you make a melee attack with the Transformed Whirligig Saw, you may spend your bonus action to hold it against the attack's target and cause the saw to spin, dealing an additional damage die to the attack's target. On subsequent rounds, you may use your action to instantly deal the Transformed Whirligig Saw's damage (plus its bonus damage die) to the same target, no attack roll required. # Quicksilver Firearms Blades, spears, mauls, and stranger products of the Workshop are fine fare for hunters, but even the most famed of Yharnam's dark defenders have carried Quicksilver firearms to augment their ferocity in melee combat. These silvered guns are unique to hunters and aid them in slaying any foul beast that may dare to show itself on a night of the hunt. They require none of the volatile black powder that lesser firearms use, nor are they purely arcane - Quicksilver firearms need only silver and blood, as though they were extensions and expressions of their wielders. ## Quicksilver Ammunition Quicksilver Bullets are silver bullets imbued with blood, used by hunters to hunt beasts. They are treated as silvered ammunition, and can be created by those who have proficiency with Quicksilver firearms. Weapons with the Quicksilver property only accept Quicksilver Bullets as ammunition. Some magic items and hunters' tools require Quicksilver Bullets to activate their supernatural properties. #### Creating Quicksilver Bullets During a long rest, you may create up to 20 Quicksilver Bullets using a special ritual that you learn when you gain proficiency with Quicksilver weapons. For each piece of Quicksilver ammunition you create, you must sacrifice 1 silver piece and a small amount of blood. This blood sacrifice is small, but requires you to deal 1 point of damage to yourself per 20 pieces of Quicksilver ammunition created (this may change at the DM's discretion). This ritual takes 10 minutes - when it is finished, the 20 sp used in the ritual are transmuted into Quicksilver Bullets. Unused Quicksilver Bullets you create become silver pieces again 24 hours after being created or 1 hour after you die - used Quicksilver Bullets become a slurry of liquid silver and blood 1 minute after being shot. If you create Quicksilver Bullets while still in possession of Bullets created earlier and the newly created Bullets would make your total number of created Bullets exceed 20, the oldest bullets immediately become silver pieces again. #### Blood Bullet Sacrifice When you gain proficiency with Quicksilver weapons and learn the ritual to create Quicksilver Bullets, you also learn a truncated version of that ritual designed to provide you with emergency ammunition at the cost of your vitality. As a bonus action, you deal 1d6 + your proficiency bonus necrotic damage to yourself that bypasses resistances and immunities, sacrificing your own blood to gain 5 Blood Bullets. These Blood Bullets are Quicksilver Bullets, but do not count against your QS Bullet maximum and dissolve into blood again after 10 minutes. If you create Blood Bullets while you already have created Bullets, you only create as many Bullets as you need to reach a total of 5 Blood Bullets. ## Feat: Powder Skirmisher When you take this feat, increase your Dexterity score by 1, up to a maximum of 20. When a creature of Large size or smaller within the first range increment of your held firearm makes a melee attack, you may attempt to interrupt its attack and knock it off-balance with a well-placed shot. Make a ranged attack with your held Quicksilver firearm as a reaction, contested by the creature's melee attack roll. If your attack roll is higher, the creature's attack is interrupted and it is stunned until it takes damage or until the start of its next turn. Damage taken from your firearm does not cancel the creature's stunned condition until the start of your next turn. The next melee attack made against the creature is treated as a critical hit if the attack hits and the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature. \page

Any creature that enters the Rosmarinus' area of effect on its turn or starts its turn there when you fire it in this way takes poison damage from it (Con save halves). \page # Auxiliary Tools These are the lesser - but still quite useful - tools and trinkets that aid hunters in their grisly work. Some are rare and eldritch artifacts, while others are ubiquitous to the profession of hunting, but all have passed through the hands of a skilled hunter at one time or another. Hunter Tools have italicized titles. In the interest of game balance, the Bold Hunter's Mark has been omitted from this list - the only effect approximating it is *word of recall,* which is a 6th level spell. ### *A Call Beyond* *Wondrous item, very rare* This phantasmal slug can be used to summon the essence of an exploding star, sending eldritch projectiles arcing towards any number of targets within range. When you spend an action and 7 Quicksilver Bullets to use A Call Beyond, you summon a large floating orb made up of 12 twinkling points of starlight. This orb remains in place until the end of the round, at which point the starlight projectiles arc out towards creatures in range. Divide the number of projectiles as evenly as possible between all creatures standing within 30 feet of the space where you cast A Call Beyond at the end of the round. If there is a remainder of projectiles, the closest creatures to the space where A Call Beyond was cast are targeted by them - if multiple creatures are equally close, randomly determine which creature receives the remainder projectiles. Each projectile deals 1d6+1 radiant damage (DC 17 Dexterity save halves - one save is made by each targeted creature when it is targeted, and the total amount of radiant damage it takes is halved). ### *Accursed Brew* *Wondrous item, rare* This wretched-looking skull has been profaned thoroughly, and carries a number of foul curses in its pitted surface. When you spend an action and 2 Quicksilver Bullets to use the Accursed Brew, you conjure and hurl a spectral copy of the skull to a point you can see within 30 feet. All creatures within 10 feet of the chosen point must make a DC 15 Dexterity save or take 4d6+4 necrotic damage and be cursed to have disadvantage on attack rolls against you and your allies until the end of your next turn. ### Antidote *Adventuring gear (consumable)* When you spend an action to consume a packet of these chalky white tablets, you are cured of the poisoned condition and gain resistance to poison damage until the end of your next turn. ``` ``` ### *Augur of Ebrietas* *Wondrous item, rare* This phantasmal slug can be used to partially summon the eldritch power of an Old One, sending pale grasping tentacles out to rend your foes. When you spend 1 Quicksilver Bullet and an action to use the Augur of Ebrietas, grasping tentacles are briefly summoned in front of you and extend outwards in a 15 ft. long, 5 ft. wide line. Creatures struck by the tentacles take 4d6+4 psychic damage, halved with a DC 15 Intelligence save. If a creature fails the save by 5 or more, it is stunned until the end of its next turn. ### Beast Blood Pellet *Adventuring gear (consumable)* This small, crimson pellet is a chemical cocktail designed to enhance the beasthood in men and bring it to the fore. When you take a Beast Blood Pellet as an action, your weapon damage is empowered for each successful attack you make for 1 minute or if you end your turn and haven't attacked a creature in the last 3 turns. When you hit a creature while under the effects of the Beast Blood Pellet, you gain a +1 bonus to all weapon damage and a -1 penalty to AC. Subsequent hits increase your bonus damage and AC penalty by 1, up to a maximum of +5/-5 damage/AC. If your turn ends and you haven't damaged a creature other than yourself, this bonus decreases by 1. If you maintain the full +5 damage bonus/-5 AC penalty for 1 minute, you must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution save or be infected with lycanthropy. If you are already a lycanthrope, you automatically fail this save, instantly changing to your hybrid form (or animal form if you are in hybrid form) and going berserk for 1 minute. This effect can stack with the Beast Claw's version of this effect, potentially granting a total of +10 bonus damage/-10 AC penalty. If both effects are concurrently active, track lycanthropy infection events separately. ### *Beast Roar* *Wondrous item, rare* This severed hand of a cursed darkbeast allows the user to briefly awaken a dark, bestial fury within themselves, allowing them to emit a horrible roar that blasts creatures and objects away. When you spend 2 Quicksilver Bullets and an action to use the Beast Roar, all creatures within a 15 ft. radius of you must make a DC 16 Strength save or take 2d6 thunder damage, be knocked prone, and be pushed up to 10 feet directly away from you. Creatures that succeed on the Strength save take half thunder damage and are not moved/knocked prone. \page

### *Blacksky Eye* *Wondrous item, uncommon* This soft black eye has glimpsed the cosmic arcane, and can summon it at the behest of its wielder. When you spend a Quicksilver Bullet and a bonus action to use the Blacksky Eye, it casts *eldritch blast* at a target you can see, using +5 to hit in place of your spell attack bonus (if you have one). ### Blood Vial *Adventuring gear (consumable)* This vial of dark, slightly congealed blood has legendary healing powers, capable of curing disease and mending horrific wounds. The blood vial may be administered to yourself as a bonus action, healing 2d4+2 hit points and curing nonmagical diseases. ### Blue Elixir *Adventuring gear (consumable)* This bluish, spectral potion makes your body appear translucent and faded for 1 minute after drinking it, giving you advantage on Stealth checks made to remain unseen while in dim light or darkness. However, your movement speed is reduced by 10 and you have disadvantage on saves made to resist effects that would move you or knock you prone. ### Bolt Paper *Adventuring gear (consumable)* When you apply this dark-hued blue paper to your nonmagical weapon as a bonus action, it is wreathed in lightning and deals 1d6 extra lightning damage for 1 minute. ### Bone Marrow Ash *Adventuring gear (consumable)* When you apply this chalky white ash to the barrel of a nonmagical firearm as a bonus action, it deals an extra damage die of the same damage type on its next shot. ### *Choir Bell* *Wondrous item, rare* This magical silver bell resonates softly with healing tones, allowing you to spend 7 Quicksilver Bullets to cast *mass cure wounds* with it as an action. When you cast *mass cure wounds* in this way, you do not add your spellcasting ability modifier to the healing (if you have one), and the spell's 30-foot radius is centered on you. ### Delayed Molotov *Weapon (thrown)* This stick grenade is functionally identical to a Molotov bottle, except it explodes 1d6 rounds after it impacts, adhering to whatever surface it touches after it is primed and thrown. ``` ``` ### *Empty Phantasm Shell* *Wondrous item, very rare* This invertebrate's shell glows with a soft eldritch energy. When you spend 3 Quicksilver Bullets and a bonus action to use the Empty Phantasm Shell, you imbue your nonmagical weapon with eldritch force for 1 minute, choosing two of the following effects. * Your weapon deals 1d6 additional psychic damage. * You may add your spellcasting ability modifier to your weapon's normal damage dice. * You may add your spellcasting ability modifier to your weapon's attack rolls in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier. * Your weapon is treated as magical and adamantine. ### *Executioner's Gloves* *Wondrous item, rare* These macabre gloves are decorated with the flesh and skulls of executed enemies. When you spend 3 Quicksilver Bullets and an action to use the Executioner's Gloves, the Gloves release 3 wrathful spectral skulls that have a flying speed of 15 feet. The skulls appear in front of you, to your left, and to your right, and pursue a target chosen by you when you initially use the Gloves. On initiative count 21, losing initiative ties, the three skulls move towards your chosen target, taking the most direct route to the target and ignoring obstacles. When a skull collides with a creature or object, it bursts in a corona of sickening magic, dealing 2d4+2 necrotic damage to the creature or object it struck. ### Fire Paper *Adventuring gear (consumable)* When you apply this dark-hued red paper to your nonmagical weapon as a bonus action, it is wreathed in flames and deals 1d6 extra fire damage for 1 minute. ### Fist of Gratia *Weapon (simple, fist)* **Damage:** 1d4 **Damage Type:** Bludgeoning **Item Rarity:** Unique **Properties:** Light **Weight:** 5 lbs. When you make a melee attack with this weapon, make an Athletics check contested by the target's Constitution save. If the target fails, it is stunned until the start of its next turn. \page

### Hunter's Torch *Wondrous item, uncommon* This torch burns more fiercely than any normal torch, providing bright light for 30 feet and dim light for an additional 30 feet. In addition, you may use the Hunter's Torch as a club that deals 1d6 bludgeoning + 1d4 fire damage on hit. This fire damage is doubled for Monstrosities. ### Lead Elixir *Adventuring gear (consumable)* This viscous, stone-grey potion grants the drinker the resilience of lead, allowing them to weather heavy blows and impacts without apparent effort. For 1 minute after imbibing a lead elixir, you have advantage on saves made to resist effects that would knock you prone or move you, as well as on concentration checks. However, your weight is doubled, your movement speed is reduced by 10, and you have disadvantage on Dexterity ability checks and saves for the duration. ### Loch Shield *Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)* This blue glass shield is ornate and ancient, and while other shields could more comprehensively defend against physical damage, few shields are the Loch Shield's equal when it comes to blocking magical attacks. While you hold the Loch Shield, all damage received from magical sources is reduced by one quarter. In addition, when you finish a long rest, you choose one of the following magical damage types to gain resistance to until the end of your next long rest: fire, lightning, thunder, force, psychic. When you are targeted by a magical attack with an attack roll, that attack treats your AC as being 2 points higher than it normally is. ### *Madaras Whistle* *Wondrous item, very rare* This bloodied clay whistle is renowned for its ability to summon bestial snakes. When you spend 4 Quicksilver Bullets and your action to blow the Whistle, you create a spatial disturbance under your feet that summons the Madaras Serpent at the end of that round. The Madaras Serpent surges up from the ground at the end of the round, dealing 8d6 bludgeoning damage to all creatures within a 10 ft. wide, 20 ft. tall cylinder - a DC 19 Dexterity save halves this damage. After the Serpent has dealt this damage, it falls back into the ground and vanishes. If a creature fails its Dexterity save, it is also knocked 20 feet into the air, falling immediately and landing prone. ``` ``` ### *Messenger's Gift* *Wondrous item, rare* This tiny skull is a gift from the spectral messengers who assist hunters in their work, allowing them to escape the marauders that roam between worlds. When you spend a Quicksilver Bullet and your action to use the Messenger's Gift, you are polymorphed into a common household object - such as a plate, chair, small table, broom, barrel, or book - of your choice no larger than 3 cubic feet. You can hear normally, but your normal sight is replaced with 30 feet of blindsight, and your walking speed is reduced to 10 feet if it is higher. While disguised in this way, you have a +5 bonus to Stealth when you are immobile. You can remain in this form for up to 1 hour, returning to your normal form as a bonus action, at the end of the hour, if you take an action other than readying an action, or if you take damage. A creature can make a DC 16 Investigation check to determine that you are not what you appear to be. On a successful save, the creature realizes that you are disguised. If it sees you moving, it has advantage on this check. ### Molotov Bottle *Weapon (thrown)* This glass bottle is filled with flammable alcohol and has an alcohol-soaked rag stuffed in the neck of the bottle, to be set alight and thrown. The Molotov bottle is a ranged weapon with the Thrown and Light properties. It has a range of 20/40 feet and explodes upon impact, dealing 4d6 fire damage to all creatures within a 15-foot radius of the point of impact (DC 13 Dexterity save halves). If you make a successful ranged attack against a creature with this weapon, it has disadvantage on its Dexterity save to halve the fire damage. If you make a ranged attack with this weapon and miss your target's AC, roll 1d8 to determine where the Molotov bottle actually lands, with 1 representing the space to the northwest of your target, 2 representing the space to the north of your target, and so on. ### *Old Hunter's Bone* *Wondrous item, very rare* This weathered bone belonged to a hunter of old, and grants the user the lost art of Quickening. When you spend 4 Quicksilver Bullets and a bonus action to use the Bone, you gain the ability to teleport to any space within 15 feet you can see as a bonus action for 3 rounds. When you use the Bone, you may also teleport as part of that bonus action. In addition, if taking damage from an attack while empowered by the Old Hunter's Bone would reduce you to 0 hit points, you may spend a reaction to make a Dexterity saving throw against the attack roll - if you succeed, you teleport up to 15 feet in any direction and only take half damage (or no damage, if half damage would still reduce you to 0 hit points). \page

### Sedative *Adventuring gear (consumable)* This syrupy medicine dulls and softens the mind. For 1 minute after imbibing a sedative, you are immune to fear effects, but have disadvantage on saves made to resist charm or sleep effects. ### Shaman Bone Blade *Weapon (dagger), rare* This wickedly curved bone dagger is coated with a poison designed to warp and confuse the minds of beasts and men. The Shaman Bone Blade is a +1 dagger. When you strike a creature with it, the creature must make a DC 15 Wisdom save or become charmed by you and your allies, believing its own allies to be its enemies for up to 1 minute. If you or your allies damage it while it is charmed, it may immediately make its Wisdom saving throw again with advantage. When the Shaman Bone Blade's mind-warping powers are used, it becomes a nonmagical, mundane bone dagger until it is used to slay one of the wielder's allies in cold blood. ### Shining Coins *Wondrous item, uncommon* These shimmering coins glint uncannily in the dark, but appear to have no other oddity or purpose. When this handful coppers, silvers, and golds is in dim light or darkness, it sheds bright light for 5 feet and dim light for an additional 5 feet. ### *Tiny Tonitrus* *Wondrous item, rare* This miniaturized version of the Tonitrus constantly crackles with the hum of lightning, and is arguably more destructive than its larger counterpart. When you spend 6 Quicksilver Bullets and your action to use the Tiny Tonitrus, it summons lightning strikes in a line 60 ft. long, 5 ft. wide, and 100 ft. tall. Any creature caught in this line takes 8d6 lightning damage (DC 16 Dex save halves).
