# The Crimson Lord Some say the Crimson Lord is the first vampire, using avatars to feed his insatiable hunger. Others whisper of the shadow in the dark. Whichever the case, the blood coursing through the veins of all living beings hold power that few are willing to learn to wield. Your patron understands the power flowing through the red river. The Crimson Lord's motivation is unknown, though the lust for blood can be felt in all who let him in. #### Expanded Spell List The Crimson Lord lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you ##### Crimson Lord Expanded Spells | Spell Level | Spells | |:----:|:--------------| | 1st | *inflict wounds, ray of sickness* | | 2nd | *blindness/deafness, blur* | | 3rd | *feign death, nondetection* | | 4th | *death ward, phantasmal killer* | | 5th | *dominate person, modify memory* | #### Blood Dice Starting at 1st level, whenever you complete a short or long rest, you may convert any number of hit dice into Blood Dice. Your maximum hit points is reduced by the number of dice converted. The maxium hit point loss last until you gain the benefits of a short or long rest. You can never have more Blood Dice than your warlock level. Whenever you take damage from a hostile creature, as a reaction, you may spend a Blood Die. Roll the die and heal an amount equal to double the die roll plus your Constitution modifier. In addition, so long as you have at least one Blood Die, whenever you are reduced to 0 or less hit points and not killed outright, you may spend a Blood Die to automatically stabalize yourself. #### Bloody Siphon At 6th level, when you deal melee damage to a living creature, you may choose to gain a number of Blood Dice equal to your Charisma modifier. This can not increase your total Blood Dice dice above your warlock level. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. You can use this feature an additional time at 10th level and again at 14th level. #### Bloody Boon Starting at 10th level, you gain a unique ability depending on your pact boon: *Pact of the Chain*: You perform a special ritual where you drown your familiar in a pool of your blood. It rises from this, increasing its max hit points by your warlock level and gaining some benefits of undeath. They become immune to exhaustion, poison damage, and the poisoned condition. It now has darkvision 60 ft. or the darkvision of its form, whichever is greater. *Pact of the Blade*: Your pact weapon is formed from blood and wounds caused by it are more difficult to heal. Any living creature that you hit with your pact weapon receives only half the effect of any healing or temporary hit point gain it would benefit from for the next minute. In addition, if you use *Bloody Siphon* with your pact weapon, the amount of points gained double.

\page *Pact of the Shadow*: You may carve your Book of Shadows into your own skin. You are always considered to have your Book of Shadows on you person and it is not destroyed when you die unless you whole body is destroyed. #### Exsanguination At 14th level, you may use a bonus action when you damage a living creature and spend 1 or more Blood Dice to deal necrotic damage equal to double the amount rolled, in addition to your normal damage. If the creature dies from this damage, you gain Blood Dice equal to one half the number of dice you spent on this. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

##### Vampires and the Crimson Lord Vampires have a special connection to the Crimson Lord. Any time they successfully Bite a creature and gain hit points, they may instead choose to gain one point in their Blood Pool.
