# "I Eat the Mushroom" Table

Unless otherwise indicated, these effects last for five minutes or until ended with "remove curse" or similar. Generally speaking, these effects are designed to be whispered to the affected player and hidden from the rest of the table. Effects in brackets should not be shared with anyone - including the affected player - until or unless they are triggered.

1. The only language you speak or understand is goblin for 1d4 hours 2. You believe you have grown bony spikes on your knuckles 3. You believe the mushroom has improved your muscle tone [advantage on all Strength checks for the next 1d4 hours] 4. During your next battle, you gain 1d6 temporary HP every time you roll a natural 1 on an attack 5. You believe the entire world has gone dark and you are the only one who can see 6. You believe if anyone speaks, you will be found by “the bad guys” and will die 7. You feel compelled to narrate all your actions 8. You laugh loudly every time someone near you says the word “and” 9. You believe your clothing has become transparent 10. You believe your clothing and armor have turned into fine silk garments 11. You believe you’ve turned into an umbrella stand 12. You believe the mushroom you’ve just eaten tastes sweet and delicious 13. 1d4 mushrooms sprout from your body. [They grant 1d6 temporary HP to each member of the party who eats one] 14. You believe a lit cigar just appeared in your mouth 15. You believe you have turned into a goat 16. Several tiny mushrooms sprout out of the tops of your feet, creating small holes in whatever shoes you are currently wearing 17. You believe you have grown an extra limb 18. You cannot tell a lie 19. You believe your hands and feet are now webbed 20. You believe you can now throw fireballs, but everyone else sees you shoot small yellow clouds that smell like sulphur 21. You believe you must communicate only in growls 22. You believe you can squeeze through an opening of any size 23. You believe your pockets are filled with cheese 24. You can no longer see color; now you can taste it 25. You believe you have sprouted leaves 26. You believe you must be buried in soil [You can regain 1d8 HP if you are buried in soil for an hour] 27. You believe you are being followed by a line of 2d6 ducklings 28. You begin to hiccup uncontrollably 29. You insist to everyone you are now ambidextrous 30. You insist a rat has given you a very special gift [advantage on Charisma checks against rats for the next 1 day] 31. You believe you cannot touch anything edible 32. None of your attacks, magical or otherwise, can be executed unless you loudly state their name first 33. A passing frog stops and says “you’d better behave or else”; anyone else nearby only hears “ribbit” 34. You believe all your companions have transformed into myconids 35. You believe you're very buoyant and can float in any liquid 36. [Player becomes attractive to spiders of all kinds] 37. You believe smoke is now curling from your nose 38. You believe you are now two sizes Larger than your normal size 39. You believe you’re being attacked by a hive of bees 40. You can hear the song of all mushrooms for 1 hour 41. You believe you have grown a 3-foot tail 42. You hear the mushroom begin berating you for eating it but nobody else can hear it 43. You perceive a strong smell of horse manure 44. You believe you have gained suction cups on your feet 45. You believe your arms have turned into slimy tentacles; you drop everything you were carrying 46. A rat offers to be your pet if you promise to feed it one pound of cheese per week 47. You believe you can only walk at half speed but can crawl at full speed 48. You believe you can feel the emotional state of an object by licking it 49. You believe you are encased in a 10 ft square block of green jelly 50. You believe every tree you pass is eavesdropping on you for 1d4 hours \page 51. You believe all your companions have been turned into cows 52. A basket of peaches appears in front of you. Your companions believe it has been there all along 53. You take 1d6 points of damage and gain 1d12 temporary HP 54. You believe you remember the day of your birth 55. You believe there is a massive, fanged worm slowly winding its way up and around your leg 56. Your hair spontaneously combusts into blue flames. Your hair is not consumed, and no damage is taken. 57. Any flame you see for the next 1d4 hours appears vibrant green 58. You believe the floor is lava 59. You believe you are now invisible 60. You believe your dominant hand is on fire 61. You forget your name 62. You have an inexplicable but overwhelming fear of sunrise 63. You believe you can fly 64. You believe you have been grappled by an invisible opponent 65. You become convinced you are a completely different person and your personality is actually just a character you have invented 66. A field of 2d10+4 mushrooms sprouts around you. [They are edible and will either heal 3d10 HP (50%) or cause 1d10 poison damage (50%)] 67. You are convinced you can speak with any animals you see. The animals can understand you, but they hear “IT WAS THE PENGUINS” over and over 68. You believe someone nearby is hitting you with rotten tomatoes 69. [The next time the PC takes a long rest they will awaken to find an inanimate fungal clone of their body lying next to them] 70. You believe the PC currently standing nearest to you is out to get you 71. You believe you have grown a pair of small horns 72. You believe all your teeth have fallen out and been replaced with fangs 73. Your clothes itch unbearably 74. You believe you have been poisoned 75. Anytime someone near you speaks, you see their words as colorful butterflies emerging from their mouth 76. You become incredibly sentimental about whichever creature is nearest to you 77. You believe you can now taste any music you hear 78. You believe you have acquired bat wings 79. All your ability scores are scrambled for the next 1d4 hours. For any skill checks during this time, roll a d6 to see which ability score you will use [1-STR, 2-DEX, 3-CON, 4-INT, 5-WIS, 6-CHA] 80. You believe you are now radiating light in a 10 ft radius around you 81. You believe your skin has turned a brilliant shade of blue for the next 1d4 hours 82. You forget everyone’s name 83. You insist you are proficient in some ancient martial art 84. You are convinced you have a fly speed of 30 ft 85. You believe you will be attacked by goats every time you cross a bridge for the next 7 days 86. You believe you have shrunk to half your normal size 87. You are certain that the next person to whom you tell your name will instantly attack you 88. You feel compelled to say every sentence twice for the next 1 minute 89. You believe all plants within 30 ft of you are trying to kill you 90. You begin sweating uncontrollably 91. You believe you have been transported 2 years into the future and cannot remember anything that has happened for the past 2 years 92. You believe a bone-flute playing fairy has appeared and won’t stop playing her flute 93. You believe you have superhuman strength 94. You believe colorful bubbles emerge from your mouth any time you try to talk 95. Everything you say is tinged with sarcasm 96. You perceive a strong smell of garlic 97. You believe you have received a vision from 1d10+1 minutes in the future 98. You believe you know where Orcus is RIGHT THIS MOMENT 99. You believe you smell like a skunk 100. You cough up a glob of goo which transforms into a miniature version of yourself. This tiny doppelganger is the polar opposite of you in personality and follows you around criticizing your every action for the next 1 day.
