### Priest of Undead A priest of the undead understands the school of necromancy as a necessary tool to maintain the balance between those with the spark of life and those absent of it. Studies focused on this tradition tend to manipulate the very energy that conforms the spirit to summon skeletal minions, curses and even undead abominations to their control. Though it is true that some wizards have exploited these beliefs for malevolent purposes, a vast majority of disciples from this arcane tradition find this especially repulsive. They work tirelessly to put the undead to rest and stop those who abuse of their secrets. #### Necromantic Secrets *2nd-level Priesf of Undead feature* ___ The teachings of life and death begin to unfold on you. You add the *chill touch* and *inflict wounds* spells to your spellbook. Furthermore, you can substitute any costly materials to copy a spell to your spellbook by spending your hit dice equal to the level of the spell, as the ink for your dark magic is now your own blood. #### Spirit Orb *2nd-level Priesf of Undead feature* ___ You learn to reap the energy that fuels the living and unliving. You have a supernatural sense to detect a corpse, a pile of bones or similar remains from what was a living creature within 10 feet. Furthermore, you can dissolve such remains as a bonus action and spend one spell slot of 4th level or lower to make a small and ethereal orb of concentrated spiritual essence (you decide how it looks). The orb holds and amount of spirit charges equal to your proficiency bonus. Each charge has a potency \column equal to 2d6 per spell slot level spent. You restore spirit charges not by resting, but by reaping from other remains, restoring 1d4 charges. The orb disappears when no charges are left. As a part of the same bonus action, you can target a visible creture within 60 feet, friendly or hostile, and spend a spirit charge invoke one of three spirits. ***Vengeful Spirit.*** A friendly creature gains temporary hit points equal to the potency of the spirit charge. A hostile creature needs to make a Constitution saving throe against your Spell Save DC, taking the potency of the charge as necrotic damage on a failure or half damage on a success. ***Sprightful Spirit.*** A friendly creature deals additional necrotic damage on its next attack roll that hits equal to the potency of the charge. A hostile creature needs to succeed on an Wisdom saving throw against your Spell Save DC or lower the damage it deals with its next attack roll equal to the potency of the charge. ***Enervating Spirit.*** A friendly creature can restore a slot of an ability or a feature that is not a spell slot (like ki points, superiority dice, luck points). Once it has restored a resource in this manner, it cannot receive another spirit charge until it takes a short or long rest. A hostile creature must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw against your Spell Save DC or it can only make one attack in its turn and can only use an action or a bonus action, not both. The effect lasts until the end of its next turn. #### Advanced Necromantic Secrets *6th-level Priesf of Undead feature* ___ Your dark arts strengthen by new discoveries. You can use Spirit Orb by drawing essence from an undead creature made by you. It instantly disintegrates and you still have to spend a spell slot to make it, but it gains all charges.

You also add the *bestow curse* and *animate dead* spells to your spellbook. If either is there already, you can add another necromancy spell of a level you can cast. Both spells are enhanced by your necromantic secrets in the following ways: * ***Decrepify.*** When you cast *bestow curse* on a creature, you can spend a spirit charge and take 1d6 necrotic damage to apply all the effects of the curse on a failed saving throw. The necrotic damage cannot be resisted in any way. * ***Gift of Flesh.*** You can substitute a corpse or a pile of bones required to cast *animate dead* by spending a spirit charge and taking 1d6 necrotic damage which cannot be resisted in any way. Casting the spell in this way changes its casting time to a bonus action, instead of its 1-minute casting time. You can only create skeletons in this way, but two are summoned from the same corpse. Your skeletons take their turn in combat after yours. Their hit points are always the maximum possible total of their hit dice and increase by an amount equal to twice your wizard level. They also add your proficiency bonus to their AC, weapon attacks and damage rolls. #### Pact of Spirits and Death *10th-level Priesf of Undead feature* ___ Your familiarity with the forces of life and death deepens, changing your very constitution and arcane knowledge. You gain resistance to necrotic damage and gain the following features: ***Unholy Affinity.*** You can use Vengeful Spirit and Sprightful Spirit on an undead creature made by you without expending a spirit charge. \column ***Unhallowed Essence.*** You can cast spells of 2nd level or higher by spending spirit charges and leveled spell slots equal to the level of the spell you want to cast. For example, if you want to cast a 5th level spell, you can spend a 3rd level spell slot and 2 spirit charges from your spirit orb. If you use this feature to cast a spell that conjures or summons a creature under your control, it is considered undead. You can use these features a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and restore all uses when finishing a long rest. #### Perfected Necromantic Secrets *14th-level Priesf of Undead feature* ___ Your studies advance so much that the secrets of the necromancy school unveil to your mind. You add the *summon undead* and *finger of death* spells to your spellbook. They are always prepared for you and do not count against the number of spells you know. If either is there already, you can add another necromancy spell of any level, as long as you have a spell slot to cast it. Both spells are enhanced by your necromantic secrets in the following ways: ***Reborn Dead.*** A creature that dies from your *finger of death* makes a skeleton and receives the benefits of your Gift of Flesh feature. ***Effigy of Undeath.*** Casting *summon undead* by using your Pact of Spirits and Death feature eliminates any material component requirements. The undead creature gains the features of its Ghostly, Putrid and Skeletal forms all at once when doing so. Once you cast the spell in this way, you cannot do so until you finish a long rest. :::::::::::::::::::::::
