## Tieflings

In Eberron, there are three kinds of tieflings, depending on your demonic heritage. Because of this, the tiefling has been modified to include subclasses. All tieflings are medium size, have a speed of 30, and have Darkvision out to 60'.

Most tieflings have the standard fiendish appearance, but in Eberron, monstrous races are everywhere. The lowest commoner in Sharn has seen medusae, minotaurs, orcs, hobgoblins, and harpies, and these people were simply going about their business. They are thus no more threatening than a minotaur, and there is much more acceptance of them. Their appearance can vary from one individual to another, based largely on the source of their fiendish heritage.

Sakah tieflings, however, come not from standard devils or demons, but instead come from the Rakshasa Overlords. The Overlords and their minions, the Lords of Dust, are a well-known terror group, though most of what is known is rumour, not fact. Regardless, Khorvarians will be much more frightened of a Sakah tiefling because everyone has had warnings of cat-like features.

#### Sakah Tieflings
The Sakah are the rarest tieflings. While most tieflings come from classical demons and have horns, hooves, or tails, Sakah heritage is from the Rakshasa and their minions, and they are found in the Demon Wastes. This causes them to appear catlike, sometimes with stripes or cat eyes. Strangely, they are the most identifiable of the tieflings; while are fiends are dangerous, the Overlords and their minions are the most active and threatening in most peoples' lives.

Few Sakah leave the wastes. Their strength grants them positions of power in the Carrion tribes, and their demonic taint enjoys the struggle of such a brutal lifestyle. Those few that are not evil or that otherwise wish to leave must still make it past the Ghaash'kala	that guard the Labyrinth.

**Demonic Resistance** You have advantage on saves vs poison and disease, and resistance against necrotic and poison damage.

**Demonic Legacy** You know the *Blade Ward* cantrip. At 3rd level, you can cast the *False Life* spell as a second-level spell. At 5th level, you can cast *Enlarge/Reduce* (Enlarge option only). These can be cast once per day (aside from the cantrip)

**Languages** You know Common and Khyber's Tongue.

#### Manifest Tieflings
These tieflings are created by fiendish influence in a manifest zone during birth. A manifest zone is where one of the thirteen planes overlaps with Eberron, altering some effects of magic and bolstering others. A fernian tiefling may have a balor ancestor, or might instead have had the touch of a pit fiend while their mother was pregnant.

Your appearance depends on what your heritage is, though you are obviously demonic. A Fernian tiefling likely has flaming eyes, black horns, and hooves; while a Risian tiefling is likely to have blue skin, ice-white horns and a scaly tail.

If your heritage is of Dolurrh, your heritage is likely due to a lemure or shadowsworn. If you are Fernian, you likely were tainted by a Balor or a Pit Fiend. A Kythrian tiefling would have a Slaadi biology. Mabaran tieflings tend to be descended from Succubi, Incubi or Night Hags. Risian tieflings mostly have gelugons. Shavarath has the most variety as there are tons of fiends battling here

**Manifest Origin** Pick your plane of origin from the list below. This affects your other tiefling traits.

**Manifest Resistance** Your plane of origin determines what resistance you have. If your plane offers two choices, you must pick one.

**Manifest Legacy** You know a cantrip. At 3rd and 5th levels you learn a spell. These are determined by your plane of origin. Aside from the cantrip, you may cast each spell once per day.

**Languages** You speak common. In addition, you speak either Abyssal, Internal, one dialect of Primordial, or Khyber's Tongue.

#### Venemous Tieflings

The first tieflings on Eberron were created on Sarlona, where humans came from long ago. The Mage-Lords of Ohr Kaluun forged dark pacts with infernal spirits. Over generations, this taint accumulated and eventually the families became tieflings.

When Ohr Kaluun was wiped out in the Sundering of Sarlona, the noble families of tieflings fled to Khorvaire, and settled in what is now Droaam. They cast great spells and hid their settlement. Until recently, most of Khorvaire had never heard of the Venemous Demesne. It wasn't until the Lords of Four, the mage-lords of the four remaining noble tiefling families, accepted a bargain with the Daughters of Sora Kell and became part of Droaam that the Demesne was revealed.

Venemous tieflings look like standard PHB tieflings, and share all the traits of PHB tieflings.
