# Pact of the Dead God
A gnomish man hobbles down the crowded streets; he is avoided, presumbaly because he is talking to himself, but when a halfling thief bumps against him (to lift his wallet, the halfling thinks, becuase surely he won't be needing it), he hears two voices in place of one, and one of his deep green eyes flashes red.

An elvish woman crumples to the ground, bleeding massively from an axe cut across her now-useless leather armor. Her opponent roars his bloody triumph, standing over her apparent corpse. Her eyes fly open, blinding an intense blue light as she rises once again, her hands glowing with eldritch energy. When she speaks, it is the voice of a long-forgotten treant given a home in her chest.

A tiefling runs forward to grab hands with their goliath friend. A moment of silence passes between them in the chaos of the battlefield. The tiefling brings their friend's head to their own, and the two are briefly enveloped with a glow of white light. Both grin, envigored by their new pact, and turn back to their opponent.

Your patron has been cast out of their place of power an authority - or maybe they had a significant chunk of their power locked away within you as an investment or simply insurance. Maybe they simply got jealous of other gods having demigod spawns but is not crazy about the whole breeding thing. Ultimately you are now stuck with them within you, and in return you can draw from their power.

For a number of turns equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1), your patron may take turns for your. At the beginning of each of your turns, make a death save as normal before your patron takes your turn as normal, as determined by your DM. Rules concerning death saves remain the save.
