# Half-Marilith (Cambion)

* **A cambion** is the offspring of a fiend and a humanoid (usually a human). Cambions inherit aspects of both  parents, but many of their traits are hallmarks of their otherworldly parentage.

* **Born to Be Bad.** Cambions grow into ruthless adults whose wickedness and perversion horrifies even the most devoted mortal parent. Even as a youth, a cambion identifies its rightful place as an overlord of mortals. It might orchestrate uprisings in Towns and Cities, gathering gangs of humanoids and lesser devils to serve it.

* **Pawns of the Mighty.** A cambion forced to serve its fiendish parent does so out of admiration and dread, but also with the expectation that it will one day rise to a place of prominence. Cambions raised in the Nine Hells serve as soldiers, envoys, and personal attendants to greater devils. In the Abyss, a cambion carries only as much authority as it can muster through sheer Strength and force of will.

> ##### Cambions born of a Marilith have snake like traits mixed in with their humanoid ones. Some such Cambions are born with the six arms of their mother and may even appear to be a smaller version of a true Marilith. These cambions are not quite as capable of controlling their arms in combat as their parent, but cannot be underestimated for sometimes they may find the focus to suddenly lash out with all their limbs in deadly harmony.

* **Race.** Half-Marilith (Cambion)

* **Ability Score Increase.** Your dexterity score increases by 2 and your constitution or charisma by 1.

* **Age.** As the fiendish blood is strong in a cambion, they tend to live for a much longer time than their mortal half would normally. They do however live dangerous lives among fiends and may die violently long before they reach their maximum lifespan.

* **Alignment.** Due to their strong fiendish blood cambions typically tend towards evil alignments.

* **Size.** Half-Marilith cambions tend to be taller and heavier than humans, the weight and height may vary on whether they have normal legs or a large snake like lower body. Those with normal legs tend towards heights over 6 feet tall and a bit greater weight due to their extra arms. Those with a snake like lower body may tend to similar heights, but their weight can become considerably greater at the length and mass of their tail. Either way, your size is medium.

* **Movement.** Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

* **Languages.** You can speak, read and write Common and Abyssal.

* **Darkvision.** Accustomed to the dark due to your fiendish nature, you can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

* **True Fiend.** As a half blooded fiend you are detected by such abilities as a Paladins Divine Sense.  You are also affected by spells or items that target fiends.

* **Multi-Armed.** You have six arms that can each wield a different weapon or item. This does not allow you to make more attacks than normal and the effort it takes to strike with a two-handed weapon will remove the bonus AC granted by wearing a shield for that round. If you have at least two hands free, you have two free object interactions per turn instead of just one.

* **Halo of Blades.** You can use your action to make a melee attack against separate enemies using each of your arms that is wielding a weapon. You choose how many attacks to make, up to six, but each strike must target a different enemy. Any arms wielding weapons but not used in the attack take defensive positions and grant you a bonus of 1 AC per arm until the start of your next turn. At level 6 you become capable of focusing 3 of your attacks on a single target, at level 11 you are able to focus 4 attacks on a single target, and at level 16 you become fully capable of focusing all 6 of your attacks on a single target. After you use this ability, you can't use it again until you complete a short or Long Rest.

* **Marilith's Resilience.** You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have Resistance against poison damage.
