# Ember Lord Warlock
## Otherworldly Patron
### The Ember Lord
You have made a pact with a powerful elemental of the Elemental Plane of Fire. Your patron may be the fiery Imix, the slumbering Maegera, the soaring phoenix, or some other mighty creature of flame. Your pact with this creature gives you access to some of their might. Many fire elemental warlocks channel this power into their spells, engulfing their foes in emulation of their patron. Others instead channel it into their weapons, burning their foes with every swing.

With the varied nature of fire elemental patrons, their warlocks goals can differ wildly. Some may burn down villages in the name of their patron, while others walk the world, collecting experiences to fill their patron's dreams.

#### Expanded Spell List
The Ember Lord lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

#### Bonus Cantrip
At 1st level, you learn the *produce flame* cantrip. It counts as a warlock cantrip for you, but it doesn't count against your number of cantrips known.
#### Inferno's Light
Starting at 1st level, your patron bestows upon you the ability to project some of their light. As a bonus action, you emit bright light in a 30-foot radius, and dim light for an additional 30 feet. While this light lasts, you deal an additional 1d4 fire damage when you hit with an attack. 

This light lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, start your turn in magical darkness, or spend a bonus action to end it.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

The additional damage of this feature increases to 1d6 at lvl 6, 1d8 at lvl 10, and 1d10 at lvl 14



#### Primordial Power
Starting at 6th level, your connection to the your patron allows you to serve as a conduit for their power. You have resistance to fire damage. Additionally, once per turn, when a spell of yours deals fire damage, you can add your Charisma modifier to one fire damage roll of that spell against one of the targets. The fire damage from Inferno's Light doesn't gain this benefit.
#### Protection of Flame
Starting at 10th level, while your Inferno's Light feature is active, fire wreaths your form, protecting you from heat and burning your foes. You have immunity to fire damage, and if a creature touches you or hits you with a melee attack, it takes 1d8 fire damage.

The damage of this feature increases to 1d10 at lvl 14.
#### Sear the Soul

At 14th level, your flames attack the very spirit of your enemies. When you deal fire damage with a spell or warlock feature of yours, you can change the fire damage to radiant damage. A spell changed in this way still gains the benefits of your Primordial Power feature.

Additionally, you can use Inferno's Light twice between rests, and the bright light created by your Inferno's Light feature is sunlight.


## Eldritch Invocations
At 2nd level, a warlock gains the Eldritch Invocations feature. Here are new options for that feature, in addition to the options in the *Player's Handbook* and *Xanathar's Guide to Everything*.
#### Cloud of Ash
*Prerequisite: 5th level*

You can cast *fog cloud* at will, without expending a spell slot.
#### Command Elemental
*Prerequisite: 15th level*

As an action, you can choose one elemental that you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. If it fails, it becomes friendly to you and obeys your commands for 1 hour or until you use this feature again. If the target successfully saves against the effect, or if the effect on it ends, the target is immune to this feature for the next 24 hours.
#### Deductive Gaze
You gain proficiency in the Insight and Investigation skills.

#### Elemental Mishief
*Prerequisite: 7th level*

You can cast *conjure minor elementals* once using a warlock spell slot. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

#### Ember Strike
*Prerequisite: Pact of the Blade feature*

When you make an attack with your pact weapon, you can increase the reach of the weapon by 5 feet. When you hit a target in this way, the damage becomes fire damage.
#### Flame of Retribution
*Prerequisite: 15th level*

You can cast *hellish rebuke* at will without expending a spell slot.
#### Master of Dusk and Dawn
*Prerequisite: 5th level,* darkness *spell or a warlock feature or spell that creates light*

When you cast *darkness*, activate a warlock feature that creates light, such as Inferno's Light, or cast a spell that creates light, you can double the radius of the light or darkness for the duration.
#### Slumber of Ancients
You can cast *sleep* once using a warlock spell slot. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
#### Smoke Form
*Prerequisite: 12th level*

You can cast *gaseous form* on yourself at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.
#### Tome of Seeking Fire
*Prerequisite: 5th level, Pact of the Tome feature*

If your Book of Shadows is within 60 feet of you, you can use your bonus action to have it erupt into flames as it returns to you. Every creature within 10 feet of the book  
must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your warlock spell save DC, taking fire damage equal to 2d8 +  
your Charisma modifier on a failure, or half as much  
damage on a success. The book then teleports into your hands. You can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

#### Touch of the Ever-Burning Ones
*Prerequisite: Pact of the Chain feature*

Your familiar can move through a space as  
narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing if fire  
could pass through that space, and gains resistance  
to fire damage. Additionally, as an action your  
familiar can touch a flammable object that isn't  
being worn or carried by  another creature and  
set it on fire.
