#### Control Shadow
*2nd-level conjuration*
___
- **Casting Time:** 1 action
- **Range:** 60 feet
- **Components:** S, M (a nearby shadow)
- **Duration:** Concentration, up to 10 minutes

Using nearby shadows, the caster can create the following effects:

***Cloak of Shadow.*** The caster becomes one with shadow, his body becoming incorporal and untargetable. While in this form, the caster can move through any surface or gap through his shadowy form, as long as he stays in a shadow. He cannot be attacked in any way, except effects that target the mind, such as psychic damage, or any form of radiant damage. Taking radiant damage also returns the caster to his corporeal form. He is also hardly discernable from a normal shadow, gaining a +5 bonus to Dexterity(Stealth) checks.

A Dispel Magic spell instantly removes the effect, returning the caster to his corporal form. Moving in light of any intensity also removes the effect, along with dealing 2d6 radiant damage to the caster. If the caster does however move within light, he can choose to keep concentrating on the spell and may enter shadows again on his turn. The caster may also return to his normal form by expanding an action.

If the spell has been cast on a higher level, the caster can choose to target additional creatures to turn to shadow for each level above 2nd at which the spell has been cast. These creatures must be within 10 feet of the caster. Any willing creature the caster chooses instantly turns to shadow along with the caster. If the caster chooses to turn himself back to his corporal form while other creatures are also effected, all other creatures also get reverted to their initial form.

***Chains of Shadow.*** The caster bonds nearby shadows to a creature they can see , to a range of 60 feet. The creature must succeed a Strength saving throw, or become grappled, restrained and take 2d6 necrotic damage. The target can attempt to escape the spell by using their action to make a Strength check contesting the caster's spell DC.

If the target breaks free, the caster can use their reaction to bond shadow to the feet of any creature within 15 feet of the shadow. This reduces the target's movement speed to 0. On it's turn, the caster can attempt to chain the creature who's feet they bound with shadow on their past reaction. The target must make a Strength saving throw or suffer the effect of Chains of Shadow. This feature does not trigger if the initial cast was resisted.

If there's no target within the 15 feet range of the spell when the chains are broken, the caster can choose to return them to his hands as a reaction, allowing him to once again shoot them out on a following turn as an action.

***Blade of Shadow.*** The caster can summon nearby shadows into a weapon of shadow, which is instantly bound to their hand. This weapon, regardless of appearance, deals 2d6 necrotic damage and ignores resistances. The blade has the finnesse and light properties. In addition, the caster's range on melee attacks is increased to 15 feet. The caster cannot be disarmed of this weapon.

Additionally, if the caster has struck a creature with this blade, shadows linger around their body to disturb them. The creature cannot turn invisible, ethereal or teleport by any means, such as the Invisibility, Blink or Misty Step spells and their movement speed is halved. This effect cannot be applied to more than 1 creature at a time. If the caster attacks a different creature, the effect moves to the last creature damaged by this spell.

***At higher levels:*** For every level, the caster can target an additional creature with Cloak of Shadow or Chains of Shadow. For the effects of Cloak of Shadow to apply, the creature must be willing. The damage of Blade of Shadow by 1d6.
