> ***Legendary Resistance (5/day).*** When the amalgamasque fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
>
> ***Seige Monster.*** The amalgamasque deals double damage to objects and structures.
>
> ***Turn Immunity.*** The amalgamasque is immune to effects that turn undead.
>
> ***Regenerate*** Regains 20hp at the start of its turns.
>
> ***Reflective Carapace.*** Any time the amalgamasque is targeted by a magic missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, roll a d6. On a 5-6, the amalgamasque redirects the spell to a target of its choice. On a 3-4, the spell is redirected to the nearest creature. On a 1-2, the spell is harmlessly redirected at an unoccupied space. The amalgamasque also has advantage on saves against magical effects.
>
> ***Antimagic Cone.*** The amalgamasque's central eye is that of a beholder. It creates an area of antimagic, as in the antimagic field spell, in a 300-foot cone. At the start of each of its turns, the amalgamasque decides which way the cone faces and whether the cone is active.
>
> ***Chorus of Liches.*** The amalgamasque's beholder stalks have their eyes replaced by the skulls of *demiliches*. An amalgamasque has 10 demiliches, they cannot move on their own and instead move with the amalgamasque, and are considered part of the amalgamasque, but act independently on their own initiative and track their own hit points (120 (20d4+40)). Use the demilich stat block with the following changes: Howl works in a 120ft cone with and the frightened condition lasts until the target succeeds the saving throw at the end of its turns. Life Drain works within range of the amalgamasque's blindsight, and heals both the demilich and the amalgamaque. Ignore the legendary actions. Each demilich also has the *Eye Rays* action of a beholder.

> ### Actions
> ***Bite.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +19 to hit, reach 10ft., one target. *Hit* 37 (4d12 + 10) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC 20). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the amalgamasque can't bite another target, but can automagically succeed on further bites against the same target as long as it's grappled. A creature of giant size or smaller killed by this bite attack is swallowed, their remains destroyed by a sphere of annihilation that acts as its stomach fueling its unending hunger, in 3 rounds.
>
> ***Claw.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +19 to hit, reach 15ft., one target plus up to 3 adjacent targets. *Hit* 28 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage.
>
> ***Tail.*** DC 25 reflex save in a 30ft cone. *Hit*: 24 (4d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it is also knocked prone and 15ft in a direction of the amalgamasque's choice.
>
> ***Frightful Presence.*** Each creature of the amalgamasque's choice within 320ft of it must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until 1d4 turns after it makes the save at the end of a turn. It has disadavantage on this save if it has seen the amalgamasque in the last 10 minutes. A creature that makes this save is immune to the amalgamasque's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
>
> ***Swallow.*** The amalgamasque can swallow a creature that it has grappled with its bite attack. When it does, it opens its mouth loosening its grip, allowing a DC 25 Strength or Dexterity check to break free of the grapple and move to an adjacent space. If it fails, it is swallowed; it's no longer grappled but is inside blinded, restrained, poisoned, and takes 56 (16d6) acid damage at the start of each of the amalgamasque's turns. The third time it takes this damage in succession, it reaches the sphere of annihilation in its stomach and is obliterated. A swallowed creature is treated as though in its *antimagic cone*.
>
> If the amalgamasque takes 60 damage or more in a single turn from a creature inside it, the amalgamasque must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the amalgamasque. If the amalgamasque dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained and can escape by using 30ft of movement, exiting prone.
>
> ### Legendary Actions
> The amalgamasque can take 6 legendary actions with the options below. It can only take one legendary action at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn, excluding its own *Chorus of Liches*. It regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
>
> ***Eye Ray.*** The amalgamasque forces one of the demiliches to use one random eye ray at a target of the amalgamast's choice.
>
> ***Attack.*** The amalgamasque makes one claw attack, or one tail attack.
>
> ***Leap.*** The amalgamasque leaps, moving up to half its speed as though it had a fly speed. If it ends the movement in the air, it falls or can grab a surface within reach that can support its weight to climb.
>
> ***Crypt Breath (2 actions)*** The amalgamasque exhales a torrential cloud of sickening dust in a 60ft cone that lasts 3 rounds. Creatures that start or end their turn in the area of dust take poison and necrotic damage equal to the amalgamasque's constitution modifier (10, 10, for 20). The area is heavily obscured.
>
> ***Chomp (2 actions)***. The amalgamasque makes one bite attack or uses swallow.
>
> ***Insidious Curse (3 actions)*** The amalgamasque targets one creature it can see with its blindsight. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or be supernaturally cursed. Until the curse ends, the target's maximum health is reduced by the amalgamasque's constitution modifier (10) at the start of each of its turns. Lost max HP is regained at a rate of 10 per completed long rest. While cursed, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the curse on a success.

#### Quick Tactics:

Pay particular attention to interactions between *Crypt Breath*, and its own blindsight. When running an Amalgamasque, you'll want to make heavy use of it to keep the party suppressed while the Amalgamasque is unphased, be sure to lay down plenty of curses and balance your use of Eye Rays with use of the Demilich's life draining attacks to keep the Amalgamasque healing, and of course, go for those Swallows.

And remember that the Amalgamasque has the intelligence and cunning of a Beholder, it's no longer your animalistic Tarrasque, it's smart and seething with malicious intent. By all means... Eat the cleric whole while you suppress the Wizard with antimagic, and remain aware of the Rogue with your blindsight, and no matter how tanky the barbarian... 3 turns in its stomach is a death sentence.

>#### Optional Action:
> ***Symphonious Multiattack (2/day)*** The amalgamasque marks a target for obliteration. Onlookers notice more of the Chorus of Liches lock eyes on the mark, while the marked creature feels a necrotic chill. If they fail a DC 24 constitution saving throw, this chill brings them to their knees leaving them Restrained until the end of their next turn. On the amalgamasque's next turn as a bonus action, each of its demiliches can use a reaction to take an action against the marked target.

### Immortality

Like the Tarrasque before it, the Amalgamasque is immortal- but with an extra twist of the knife. It can only be slain when a creature uses the *Wish* spell on the same turn that someone reduced it to 0 hit points. When slain, the Amalgamasque returns in 4d20+20 years- Or earlier if anyone uses a resurrection spell on any part of its body that remains.

>### Bonus Feature:
>#### Adaptive Persistence
> Every time the Amalgamasque is reduced to 0hp, it gains resistance to the damage type that reduced it to 0hp. Permanently. If it happens again, resistance becomes immunity.
> A resistance or immunity gained in this way can be temporarily overcome by a wish spell, and certain magic items might allow that item in particular to overcome it.
