# Oozaru (5e Human Subclass)
> ##### Why?
> Okay, so this is something I wanted to make. I wanted to use an Oozaru like ablility in dnd, but all of them ended up being too op (With super saiyan and all) so this is something a human can multi- class into. In the game, they need to be born like this. To multiclass into this, you don't need anything special. You were born like this. Extra optionals on final page.


##### The Knitty Gritty
So, ever since you where little, you have been different from other kids. No, you weren't dummer, shorter, or uglier. You have a tail. This is highly unusual to others, and you'll need an explanation. You can choose to have your character know about its dangerous effects or not. You can transform litterally straight from birth, so be careful. It would probably be more fun if your character has no clue of the transformations. IF YOU USE THIS, YOU CANNOT BECOME A WEREWOLF UNLESS THE TAIL IS REMOVED PERMINATLY. IF YOU GET A WEREWOLF TRANSFORMATION, A WISH SPELL CANNOT RESTORE THIS ONE UNTIL THE WEREWOLF TRANSFORMATION IS REMOVED

**Great Ape.** If You watch a planetary body reflecting the
light of a star while in the atmosphere of a planet, you
turn into a Great Ape. (Transformation requires full moon) 
This transformation can be avoided with a DC 15 Wisdom
saving throw to look away from the moon. Once the
transformation begins, you must make a DC 25. Your size will be upped to huge in this form.
Wisdom saving throw or become Berserk. Each successful check reduces the DC by 1, to a minimum of 5. The ape is 55 to 70 ft tall, once you choose, it does not change.

While Berserk, a Great Ape must attack any living creature it notices, unless the creature succeeds an Intimidation attempt against the Great Ape. The DM could also use it as an enemy NPC. Once you transform, no visible gender specific traits will show, you will just be a giant hairy ape.

The Great Ape transformation relies on your tail. Your tail will always be light brown, no matter your hair color. If at any point the tail is removed, this form is immediately ended and cannot be accessed until the tail regrows in 1d4 weeks. You also untransform when the sun rises at dawn. It takes one turn to transform, and while transforming you are completely vulnerable to any attacks. Tail Stats are on the last page.

## Optional Powers For This Build
## "What doesen't kill you makes you stronger!"
Zenkai. Every near death experience you face makes
you stronger. If you become unconcious by dropping
to 0 hit points, and then returns to full hit points following that, your hit point maximum increases by 1.

## "No, dont touch that"
Any damage to your tail counts as critical hits if removing. (That is, if they are intentionally trying to remove it.)
## Can't Touch This
### Stronger Tail
At level 5, you don't need to roll whenever someone grabs your tail. If someone does, you won't be stunned. Your tail also has half your base strength. 
## Extra (Extra!)
With stronger tail your tail doesent take crit damage instead of normal when trying to be removed. It can still get hit by crits obviously.

## Bonus Features
 Great Ape Control
At level 6, you gain the ability to harness the beast within. When you transform into a Great Ape, you no longer have to roll to avoid becoming Berserk. As well, you gain a bonus equal to your level to damage rolls while you are a Great Ape. 

## After Transformation
After you leave transformation (By any means) it will count as a long rest. This will refill anything that is filled by a long rest EXEPT for the "Power Ball" spell below. Also, unless you were wearing clothes that can stretch to any size, you will most likely be naked. Also, you must make a DC 18 save to protect you from being unconsious for 1d12 rounds. Also, until you reach level 3, you won't remember anytime you transform. Any time in the past that this has happened, your character will not remember. When mentioned to your character (After discovery by another person) there is a chance supressed memories could come up, however the DM wants to do it. All you remember is looking at the moon otherwise and then blacking out. (unless power ball)

## Great Ape Suppresion
At level 4 you devote yourself to control of your boundless power. Thanks to this, you have a +5 bonus to rolls to resist the Great Ape transformation, and a +5 to avoid going Berserk and to passing out after transformation.

## Tail Abilities
Your tail can perfectly wrap around your waist like a belt. That is how long it is. It can lift things with a third of your normal strenght, and will act as a third arm. Anything being held by the tail will act as holding it in/with your hand. If someone grabs your tail, you are stunned until they let go, unless you pass a DC Save of 15. In which, you will not be stunned. (You are stunned until they let go)

## Emergency Re-Grow
(STARTING AT LEVEL 1!)
If your tail is gone, (And has not re-grown yet) and you are in a life or death situation (5HP or less, won't work if you completely die obviously) You can make a DC 18 Saving throw. If you succeed, your tail grows back to full extent.

## Power Ball
Starting at level 8, you learn a spell called "Power Ball."
This does not take a spell slot. Even a character without magic can use this spell. This is a free bonus action.
This spell can only be used once every long rest (Untransforming does not count for this one). When you use this spell, you raise one hand to the sky, and out comes a white orb about the size of a baseball. It will then shoot up out of your hand, at about 20 feet per 2 seconds. Once it reaches 120 ft. in the air or more, (No more than 230 ft) You close your fist. A huge ball of light forms from the expanding form, and it will stay floating there. This ball is about the size of a 30 ft circle in every direction. This ball counts as a full moon. If for some reason you don't expell the spell (You can do this whenever you want, but not in beserk Oozaru form) The ball will stay in the air for 8 hours. If your tail is somehow removed, you cannot use this ability, and if it is removed while you are transformed, the power ball will disapear. And, the big ball sheds bright light for 30 ft. and dim light for another 30 ft. Also when using this, you get a +5 to a throw agianst going beserk (Since you are controlling the transformation)  it can be destroyed in which case any Great Apes leave this form. It has an AC of 15 and hp of 5+your con. mod. Note: Unless someone already knows what it is they would have to make an Int. check to figure out what it is and therefore if they could attack it.

## Missing tail?
You just lost your tail! Not only do the things above happen, but for 24 in-game hours, you have a -2 to all rolls because you have to re-adjust to your missing tail. (Exept CHA, WIS, CON, AND INT rolls!) You also loose access to the "Power Ball" Spell until your tail grows back.



## Mastery
Level 8,
You no longer have to roll to see if you become unconsious after transforming, unless you leave transformation by someone cutting off your tail. Also, your armor class goes up by 3 (in Oozaru state) and you gain 15 health.


## Where is the moon?
If the moon is destroyed, then you cannot transform without the power ball spell. This also counts if there is no moon. And dont forget if the moon is destroyed you untransform.

## Perminant Removal
If you do this, then you loose ever spell, bonus, and ability listed in this homebrew sheet. The only way to get it back using this method is using something as strong as a wish spell (I.E. Genies, gods, wish spells can restore, and more!)
How to remove it: Have a cleric (or another holy figure) bless the freshly removed spot of a tail. A tail will not regrow, and you loose all buffs here. You also suffer the "Missing tail?" De-buffs.

## In control?
If you manage to transform without being inraged, you can speak all of your languages, and your WIS, CHA, and INT stats are returned to your regular stats.



## TAIL STATS
Just a fair warning, the tail's health is mixed in with your health. Lets say your tail takes 3 damage, you subtract it from your tail health and your health. But if you get hit in the arm with an attack, you don't remove it from your tail.
You only use this stat block if someone tries to remove the tail, as if its just hit with an arrrow or something, it doesn't require this, Considering that I doubt an arrow will shoot off a giant monkey's tail by accident. If you are in base human form, then the rules differ. Any damage to your tail goes to both, considering it is much smaller. Once you transform, all damage to the tail carries over, and any wounds to the tail appear much bigger. (I.E. a dagger cut to the tail is a huge gash in the tail in Oozaru form) Tail healing only usually takes a day if not completely severed. Health potions/clerics can heal it faster agian, if not completely severed. One more thing, any visibe damage (Lets say you loose an eye, or get cut somewhere else) will be visible on the giant ape as well. If you get visible damage in the ape form, it carries over after you untransform as well. The tail grab stats (You are paralized when tail is grabbed) still apply when you are in Oozaru form, but that would require someone huge or something clamping to it. (or someone with insane strength, passing a Strenght check of 45.)

## Optional: I see your control, and I raise you a beserk.
If for some reason, you can apmlify the moon light (Or blutz waves) by double, the ape will go beserk if it cannot pass a will save of 18. Illusions do not count, as in an amplified moon illusion would not work. 

## Optional: Cut
If your tail gets to or goes past half its health, half your strenght.

## Optional: Grab
Even when in Oozaru form, if your tail is grabbed, weither someone jumped on it or something or the other, you are still stunned, unless you take the optional non stun build.

 

## RUNNING NPC(s)
Give them everything mentioned here, and whatever optionall builds fit the setting/campaign. Also it would fit better if their name had a food pun, like Pota=Potato, or something like that. Be creative!

## Optional: FOOD
If one person uses this in a campaign, then automatically every npc, and orher player using it does too, to make it actuall lore in that setting. You now have double the appitite of a normal human. If you haven't eaten for a full day, all of your bonuses are halfed (round down) until you aren't hungry anymore. Also, (if you are hungry) you get a -5 to your roll of becoming beserk. This is mostly for balance. You have too eat twice as much, or those will take place. This does not count for thirst, only hunger.

## Optional: FOOD 2
Only take this if you take the FOOD build, and if you like to live dangerously. When suffering from hunger, your dice rolls are also halfed as well as bonuses. (a 1 is still a 1, round down.

### My character just had a baby!
THE FOLLOWING WILL OCCUR, EVEN  IF YOUR TAIL WAS PERMINATALY REMOVED
With a human without a tail: The baby will have a tail, and so will it's offspring, and its offspring, and so on down the line until the end of the bloodline.
A human with a tail: Above.
Any other race: A half breed between human and that race, no Oozaru tail. The bloodline of Oozaru is cut off, they need to be pure human
(I had an idea of having the tail be a supressed gene trait, with a heads or tails chance of the halfbreed's offspring (with another human ONLY) getting one. Do as you please, heads no tails yes)

## Optional (But I recommend taking) Not in control?
Thats fine, as long as the following works That is if you don't want to accidentally kill your party.) Every member of your party can try to roll to make the monkey remember their time together, if this works, they will be in control. The person making the role has to be someone in good graces with the player/npc, and must roll either a nat 20 or get higher than 20 with bonuses, add your charisma mod. Rivals could also do this, as long as they are not completely hated. Each person can only roll for this once. Once in control, the control of the ape returns to the player, and all of the stat buffs in the "in control" catagory are applied. You can choose to have the monkey roll against it to stay beserk, beating their score add wisdom mod. WISDOM MOD IS THE BONUSES with this.

## Optional: Flame Burst
A stream or ball of flame flys out of your mouth as an attack, it is not magic. It does 3d6 (Add an extra d6 at level 8) plus 4 burn damage.

## Optional: Harness in human form
At level 10, you can go in a state similar to a barbarian's rage mode. This will only happen if you have  10 hp or less. You instantly heal to half your health (round down) and enter an beserk enraged state. You become an enemy to the party and everything else around you. You could control or the DM could. You cannot speak in this state. You also get to use the attack "Flame Burst", exepr the color of it will be green, and it will have to be a beam coming from your mouth. The attack is also now known as "Anger Shout". The only way to get out of this form is to be knocked out, or go to 0 health points. While being in this state, when your health loints reach zero or bellow, you pass out. You will wake up in 1d6 hours. If you are hit agian you are reduced to zero, and do the usual death saves. Now for the best part, YOU CAN USE THIS WITHOUT A TAIL. Moon does not effect this. You also gain 2 Ac and bulk up in a big way (muscles). Your strenght will also double. 

## OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
Saiyan Armor,
An armor that only protects majority of your top part of your body, google to see what it looks like, color optional. It can stretch to any size, and will grow and shrink with your transformation. One size fits all. Its the size of an average human's torso while off of the body. It adds plus 4 to AC.
